I always liked the opening of the video, with the numbers and stuff. I keep hoping for Nintendo to buy the rights to that part and use it as a commercial.

Im assuming Ark meant virtual reality goggles. Though the only difference is that one is actually more 'in your eyes' and the other isnt really there, just "in front" of your eyes. Concentration makes things look much more realistic.

No.  The Internet is a virtual reality which mirrors the real world.  People react to things the same way they do offline, they make friends, make enemies, succeed, fail, all in the context of this digital world.  Don't even try to tell me you need goggles for something to be real.  It's as real as you make it, just like the real world.

Just a thought about the phazon. Have you ever noticed in prime, most of the time it looks like a weed? (or a plant growing)

It has many little vines branching out from one large bulky source. Same thing with the red phazon.

If you were to use a Red Phazon Beam, you'd need the Phazon suit again but better. Phazon suit vs Phazon Suit, lol! But imagine this. You know how after you defeat Metroid Prime Core in MP?
You know how it became some wierd looking globby Metroid?
Now what if that was a boss at the end of Prime 3?
One more thing, what if you were fighting a horde of Metroids and then they form together to become a bigger, better, and badder Metroid, throwing the fight into a boss battle.

The Dark Spreader. That would pwn. It doesn't freeze anything, but it does spread dark energy around like the Ice Spreader. And if any poor creature is left alive by the blast, they get attacked by the homing globs so long as they're in the spread until it goes away.


I made this idea a while back in the Make your own items" thread, but I've since changed my mind, seeing as how we don't want to bring back the light/dark storyline used in Echoes.  Unless you like beating a dead horse, of course... Rolling Eyes

I've been screaming for new beams (Probably why I thought Echoes was an okay game) and I've got some new ideas.  The beam combo in my quote above, keep it.  Except the beam?  Samus should get a new Ice/Dark Beam: the sludge beam.  Shoot sludge at your enemies.  Why not?  It'd be a litle nuts, but it'd awesome to see.  Charged shots shoot globs that cover your foe and freeze it in place.  Regular shots fire slowly but do a decent amount of damage.  And the beam combo creates a temporary waste-land that damages your enemies.

And since I missed it sometime yesterday without realizing it, I'd like to say this right now:  W00t!  Metroid Prime status!

I hope that the speed booster will be put in prime 3.
It could allows Samus to dash in water in order to not dive or to pass through very windy places.

If Retro would have put the map in the start menu (Where a map belongs Evil or Very Mad) then we would've had a whole button freed up in the Prime games that could've been used for the Speed Booster.

But noooooooo...  They had to put the map as a seperate button...

Anyways, [On-topic]

I surfing around on Google Images, and found some of the images from Metroid Prime Echoes unlockable galleries and even some Beta Images I've never seen before.

I would like to emphasize for the people that have yet to unlock ALL the galleries, these links contain spoilers.

I'd like to see the suits redone and reinvented.  The Varia Suit, Gravity Suit, and even the Light and Dark Suits, Samus should leave the Varia Suit in the closet.  Nah, I want some new suits like these:

And the enemies should look tougher.  Like these:

The head looks like the exact opposite of genetics. It's leaning more to a robot.
A gentic experiment including Metroids would yeild an <i>awsome</i> Dark Samus. It'd be like the shown one, with mostrous face (like a Dark Metroid for MP2) behind a biological mask (along the lines of the Predator's mask form the movie Predator). It's fingers could be sort of like claws which can suck up energy, like a Metroid itself. Its arm cannon could get even more genetic, but not like a tentacle or something. That's exaggerating.

A kickass 3d Kraid fight! What if all the platforms were destroyed and you could only stand in the lava? Well lets have a suit thats resistant to the effects of lava! And while standing in lava using this special suit and using the Plasma Beam, you'll trigger a more powerful and more natural version of it at Kraid( Metroid Prime 2nd form anyone? Phazon Beam!)! But turning items on and off would be a must see feature in it. Turning off the Space Jump and using only dash jumps. And I agree with everyone on the Speed Booster. Put the map in the inventory and press the Z button to trigger the Speed Booster. They'd have to use Third Person though. But imagine fighting the fastest boss ever to get the Speed Booster.

Shouldn't like, this entire thread be put into this topic?  Since, it's kinda full of what would go in here.

I'm looking forward to how having a psuedo-seperate controller in each hand will affect gameplay.  Seeing as how you sometimes have a tendancy to wave your hands with the controller in them all around.  I'm wondering what it would be like to be able to move both your hands in a different direction.

I'm also looking forward how Nintendo is going to fail at removing sequence breaking. :D

Here goes. Seeing the rev controller the controlls may be a bit like MPH, I was starting to get tired of the lock-on. Also hoping for the missiles to be like MPH (I want POWER, I want SPEED. If you got skills who need better rate of fire?) I think it will also be scarier than MP and possibly have better (what was the thing Echoes had best?). What I'm saying is that maybe, and hoping that MP3 will have all the best aspects of the FPS metroid games, but better. I'd like to use seeker missiles but want them to be more destructive but in a straight pattern.

I would like the game to have manual aiming as well.

But here is the list of things I want in MP3

- Tougher Metroids, including the other stages of metroid evolution (Alpha, Gamma, Zeta and Omega metroids)

- Not have 10 rooms between the save room and the boss room. (I'm looking at you MP2: Echoes!) Especially when I got killed 20 times by the boost guardian.

- No more of searching for keys.

- Better Multiplayer!

- Kraid!

- Tougher Space Pirates with better A.I.

- New beam weapons with new effects. Also have better beam combos.

- Tougher enemies in general. Have new designs for enemies, I don't want another sheegoth or Grenchler.

-Manual Aiming.

-Scarier.

-Maybe having dogfights in space using your gunship. You'll be fighting space pirates I guess.

That's all I can think of for now. I might post more things later.
