Or, like I said one and a half years ago, that Metroid Prime is from SR388 and the lava in Metroid II is actually Phazon, contributing to the mating cycle of Metroids, et all.

Interesting theory. MP does seem like a super evolved Queen, kinda. There are only two problems: 1) The SR388 lava is liquid, and Phazon is stringy blue crap. It could change form depending on the conditions I suppose. 2) In Fusion, on BSL, there was obviously no Phazon in SRX, but the Metroids evolved anyway.
I remember something in a Return of Samus guide saying that Metroids evolve when exposed to beta waves. And I still think that Metroid Prime was not actually a metroid. It only has a similar genetic make-up like a Metroid and can spawn Metroids because of it absorbed a Metroid when the Chozo sent a Metroid to battle the thing. It's the source of Phazon on the planet, and look how Phazon changed everything. Look how Phazon made Flaaghra! So I think it's safe to assume that from the time Prime landed on Tallon IV to the time you fight him, he's evolved a great deal. So that's what I think.
And how would Phazon be from SR388? The liquid could have been Phazon, because Prime Essence generated liquid Phazon that Samus used to use the Phazon beam. But how would it explain that a meteor from SR388 made it to Tallon IV when SR388 was still intact at the time?
Sorry, your post was made while I was still typng that last post.
Anyways... Something else I'd like to see in Prime 3. The ability to pilot your ship. And fight in it. I loved when you got to hop in one of those turrets in Echoes! That was awesome. Something like that, just with the gunship itself. It would've fit perfectly into Zero Mission with the whole her ship got shot down thing.
Falco will swear revenge, and join the Space Pirates to accomplish it. He'll be Phazon'd, and become Elite Falco, a giant fucking crazy rabid bird that can shoot fire from its eyes.
Lets just say, Star Fox could win. Thats, however, going way off topic.
I might guess that Samus might not need the Phazon suit that early in the game, because in Prime 2, you had to battle 2 bosses that had the arenas surrounded int phazon. But, did you need the suits? No. Would you have needed the suit if you needed to KO empy and evil samus with the phazon? Perhaps. All im really saying, is that Samus might not need the phazon suit for a little while, maybe as a second suit.
What i would really like to see, using those back thrusters as a possible triple or quadruple jump. It might be rather idiotic, but you could still use it, to say climb up platforms.
Yeah, but that would be risky, since people would be entering Secret Worlds using said jump like there's no tomorrow.
Depends on how good Retro gets at preventing them. So there will probably be tons. :P
I think that two jumps is plenty. Even one super high jump would be fine by me, maybe even preferred, if you were able to turn it off (a la SM).
Going back to the Speed Booster issue, an upwards Shinespark in an area with no ceiling would cause you to be propelled infinitely into the sky, and then probably drop into a secret world as you fall (assuming you do eventually fall...)
Have you ever shine sparked out of the landing site in Super Metroid? You just hit an imaginary ceiling and fall back down. I assume it'd be the same thing, there'd be a "roof" in open rooms that you couldn't pass.

Exactly, the "roof" would span the entire top of the room. therefore, the roof would be everywhere so there'd be no more Secret Worlds. If Shinesparking and Speed Booster are implemented into Prime 3 and work on the same mechanics that were on Zero Mission, Super, and Fusion... Ity'd be the death of secret worlds as we know them.
Wait a minute, didn't I already make this point once already?

I suck at wallcrawling... Even worse than I suck at Geo Core without Boost Ball (Been working on that sequence break for eight weeks now...). I'm just being considerate of other people that like secret worlds. Because I care very much about other people...
Well, I like the idea of having a flyable ship, but Nintendo has Star Fox and Metroid isn't a Space Shooter, but as I said you could use the Ship to transport you in areas or something. I mean, on Phendrana this big entry room could also have been a landing site, why not?
More:
- Getting your Suit destroyed and fighting Suitless, like in Zero.
- Scenes of "no return", I liked the feeling in Super when I was younger and played till you came up to Norfair (now I come to this point very fast, but before that I was slow, we played an hour to come to red brinstar). And then till you get some item that helps you coming out of this. We had something like this in Echoes in Dynamo Works, but this was rather crappy because you just could skip it with a Ghetto.
- A more complex map with more rooms including more doors; I think Metroid Prime and Echoes, not to mention Fusion (...), were a bit too linear because of this. You didn't have this large Norfair room with 6? doors where you just want to explore everything but sometimes can't. This makes for me a Game replayable. When I first time played Prime, I got to Landing Site and then "Oh, where to go now?" But there was just one door where you could really go. This Labyrinth style where you can really walk alot more than just one/two small roms (Landing Site and Artifact Shrine...) I missed in Prime. Or just to look at Kraid in M1, you had alot doors and you had such areas that were pointless, when going there, but this exactly that what makes the game playable. I don't want a "go from this room to this room" game. I don't know if you understand me.
- Speed Booster
- A enhanced munition System. You dislike it, but you hate it to change the beams just because of a door? I hated this fact in Echoes, but it's a good idea, when better realizied. You say no? I say yes: We have Munition Systems since the first Metroid, you could say "no, we want to shoot unlimited missiles!" The munition system is the only way to keep you off using this "weapon" every and every time, like Plasma Beam, you could also run around and screw everyone with Annihilator which is in fact a powerful beam, but the Ammo System takes advantage of this and don't let you be god. I could imagine some kind of different than in Echoes:
First of all, there should be more than just 4 beams, like 8 or something. Like Power, Ice, Wave, Spazer, Plasma, Murder Beam. Power at the beginning, going along with Ice and then Wave. Those are the "Standard" Beams which I would call, so you just get enhancements for the Standard Beam, which don't have ammunition. Then you can Equip the Beam like the C-Stick feature. Kinda: Up; Standard no ammo nedeed Left; Standard+Spazer; Ammo needed Right; Standard+Plasma; Ammo needed Down; Murder Beam; Uses your Energy + Ammo So you could have a good "Power" Beam which would be stronger and stronger every time you get a beam, but for the real big deal you need ammo, which should be ONE universal ammo type.
Next:
- Zooming with Visors for some purposes I didin't thought deeper of
- A Thermal Visor, because I loved it and hated Dark Visor
- High Jump Boots
- Reserve Tank (Energy as well as Ammo)
- Super Missiles
- Lots of Metroids like in RoF
- More Enemies which are not specified against one beam
- Space Jump like in Super
- Screw Attack like in Super and M1 and.....
- Space Pirates wich shoot Plasma Waves (!) and Crall Walls
Whoa, slow down! Y'know, you ought to send these ideas to Retro Studios, they might make for a good game...
But about the whole secret worlds thing, some of these upgrades would either make getting into secret worlds childsplay (if there is no invisible barrier) or impossible (if there is a secret barrier). Now would you really want that? Well would you?
Retro would never put a "Murder Beam" into the game...
Anyway, the point I most agree with is having multiple doors in a room. You're wrong when you said that there's only one door you can exit the Landing Site from in the beginning of Prime (there are three), but still, it would be great to see more rooms with many exits, most of which actually lead to something cool, rather than just a place where you'll say, "darn, gotta come back later."
three without sequence breaking? what's the one besides the ones to tallon canyon and artifact temple (not that you can enter the temple without missiles, of course).
[...]rather than just a place where you'll say, "darn, gotta come back later."
You have no idea how many times i might have said that in prime 1 on my first time playing the darn game. Same thing happened in prime 2, it gets anoying after a while.
Although i am responding to a mini-topic somewhere up the line (oh say 10 posts), this is a great beam combo i thought up.
If they put the plasma beam in prime 3 heres the combo: the solar flare (the sun does sort of have plasma in it). Its a real cool combo, it fires a searing mass of energy in an arc form that hits the target around as fast as a super missile (without the stupid delay in betwen the fire sequence and the actual projectile sequence).
