was it confirmed to be sylux?
Samus Lauren
The only bounty Hunter I cared about was rundas and he was the first to go. :C rip rundas we hardly knew ye.

Rundas has a great boss theme though
I like turtles.
Rundas had a great everything. I would play a Rundas spinoff.

Also, on topic, I fought the first Omega. Those things are no joke! Probably the first thing that's outright better than AM2R's version, it seems like a much more varied and well-telegraphed boss design.

a tail swipe from an omega on fusion mode took me from 999 energy to 339. they were a challenge to get past

Would there be any place where R Shooting would be useful?
what's that?
Amateur Speedrunner, Roleplayer
Shooting the beam with the r button. It's also in fusion and i know it can be useful there
They made that less useful ever since they prevented you from continuing a spin jump while doing that.

Is that an alternate control scheme or a bug I have never heard about?
Amateur Speedrunner, Roleplayer
you charge the beam and then hit r to shoot it. i'm pretty sure it's not intentional but i'm not 100% sure

I think it was an intended feature in Fusion. Like zeldacia said, you would hold B to continuously charge your beam and press R to release the blast. The advantage of this over letting go of B is that you maintain a spin jump and/or space jump and can keep shooting over and over. You could cheese bosses like Ridley in Fusion with that move.
Interesting! Have to that out next time I play fusion

It's also useful for space boosting (speed boosting while space jumping)
actual time's 11:11 and the auto tanks I only added after beating the game

I've a lot of other games to play so lord knows when I find the time for another run

Does anyone else prefer the original version of the surface theme (the one in Metroid 2) or is that just me?
I like turtles.
Nah, I agree. I wasn't a big fan of the arrangements for most of the music that came from RoS. I think it's the instrumentation turning me off.

The original GB soundtrack was mostly shitty bleeps with no actual tunes.
I like turtles.
With the exception of the Surface/"Tunnel" theme, the Chozo Ruins theme, and the Baby Metroid theme, none of which had arrangements that really impressed me in SR.

The credits theme is good in every version of the game

Ok something really weird just happened. I'm on fusion mode and I was fighting the gamma in area 2 and I shot it with a charged ice beam and it immediately turned red. Then I shot it with one missile and it died. No clue what caused this. It was close to the ceiling of the room and going right. Maybe I hit it on the same frame it was attacking or turning. If it's triggered by something it could be useful in speedruns. And unfortunately I had no way of recording this. I'll try replicating it to figure out what might have caused it. Can't guarantee I'll be able to if it's frame perfect or something like that.
you should talk to the speedrunners about that.

won't find them here though!!!
I speedran losing interest in this game

I wasn't able to get it to happen again so i'm thinking it's frame perfect with something. just not sure on what
