lol, being punished for going very fast. sucks.

Well, I once heard Echoes hates speed runners. I guess it's the same here.

it's more like the game wants you to go slow until you've got enough items to break it.
but at least there's no glitches related to going too fast there (as far as i know...)
Came across a couple things while I was trying segment 18... in Turbine Chamber if you shoot the targets then jump between the turbine and the wall, when they move out you'll glitch inside them. Fall to the bottom in biped and you'll glitch out. Also, on one attempt the elevator ride from west Elysia to east had no sound.
I cant remember the name of the area but the place on the pirate homeworld where the admiral comes down and talks to samus and there's that big door but if you shoot those barrels of boxes or whatever then the regular energy units from when you weren't corrupted appear.
Found MP3 and a new glitch today! :D

When Dark Samus split into three and began regenerating, I looked around and noticed only DS and one of the Echos up in the air, so I looked down, and found the other Echo in the jumping pose, but, for all I could tell, sliding off the wall. A moment later it stopped sliding and joined the others. Weird.
Found another glitch while practicing for my next segment. I went through the whole repairing the escape pod sequence and then went up and activated the hand scanner, then exited and corrupted myself. When it reloaded there was nothing there. No escape pod, and the panel that brings it up is black and I can't use it so I'm just stuck here, heh.
During the return to ballista storage (after getting grapple voltage), once the steamlord is defeated, if you ride the elevator up and back down without leaving the room, the steamlord music will start again, but with no steamlord!
you run into some weird stuff speedrunning :P

Awesome. Went so fast down the pipe that he didn't knock you out of Morph and you could take him out with the Hyper Ball. Although that way probably isn't faster than just blasting him normally I'd bet, since you only got what, half of the eyes before he chomped you?

Still, that was pretty funny.

and I just ran into another random glitch, lol. Construction Bay - I used the hand scanner and then morphed and rolled into the tunnel, and started rolling back into the railing as it was moving. The platform ended up stopping a lot further to the left from where it's supposed to. I can still make the jump to the next door but just barely... also, if I go to the end of the platform and miss jumping to the door, the game tries to respawn me where the platform is supposed to be, except it's not there so I just keep getting respawned over the bottomless pit over and over tho fortunately it's possible to get out of it. The camera glitches a little rolling through the tunnel too. Dunno whether reloading the room fixes it. The best part though, is what it says upon being scanned: "Malfunction in crane control. Unable to restore operations. Crane will remain in position."
Doesn't normally say that, does it? I don't remember ever coming across that before.

Still, if they added it in because they knew something like this could happen, that's kinda cool in a way.
nah i'm pretty sure it always says that and it's just a coincidence, which is why it's the best part.

lol I found a way to use ship missiles outside the command visor. Go into a room with a bombing run icon and enter command visor, start scanning it, then leave the room mid-scan. Outside the room, switch visors/morph ball/hypermode/screw attack/whatever and then reenter the room while holding Z. You'll continue the scan despite not being in command visor and eventually call the bombing run.

edit: wait, you don't even need to leave the room... just switch visors mid-scan without releasing Z.
ANKOKU
that makes the bombing run much better actually
What the heck? Did the Phaazoid make Samus high or something?
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
ummm, I found floaty jump :D... BUT its useless so far :(

if you go into the Gel Prosessing Site SW, ather jump/float up the room load Gel Hall then go in the fire gel stuff stay in it and walk away from the door so the room unloads, now as long as you dont go inbounds/ load any other rooms you have floaty jump (kinda pointless but still), I'm still working on a way to stop this can keep floaty jump when going back onbounds....
not evil,just hungry
floaty jump requires some secretized liquid to activate.  when that liquid fully unloads, floaty jump goes away with it.  you can bring floaty jump inbounds, but it will only last for 1 or 2 rooms.  the only use for it seems to be speeding up wallcrawling through bryyo.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
damn, thats a big let down I was hoping for this to be a "NEW" and "HUGE" find

still thanks for telling me how I lost it becasue I think I was to far away from the water I got it in when I cliped back inbounds/ to close to a door :P
Anywhere, everywhere
Maybe it's been found, but I've certainly never heard of this before.

If there's a way to leave the Pirate Seed room after getting Hyper Grapple, some weird stuff happens. I was using moon jump to see if Hyper Grapple without Grapple Voltage does anything, and obviously it doesn't. Oh well.

Getting out of the hallway room isn't too hard; just do some boost aiming to clip past the barriers. Then you can leave the area with that "super hypermode" or whatever you call that full yellow bar hypermode you get in the seeds.

What's interesting about this is that there is absolutely no way to exit hypermode. Cutscenes, leaving areas, even quitting and restarting the game does not take you out of hypermode. The inside of Samus' ship is something you shouldn't normally be able to see in hypermode, but you can here. Also, you normally can't interact with objects in hypermode, like hand scanners and talking to people, but you can here. Probably my favorite part is that for some reason, several of the sound effects are replaced with the "exiting hypermode" sound effect, like all of the buttons in Samus' ship. The best is the Bryyo pumping minigame, which just causes an incoherent mess of sounds.

This is pretty much only useful if you want to play Metroid: Sin City edition :P. Just can't switch any visors, open any missile doors, or open any plasma/nova doors. It's really too bad that beating Omega Ridley automatically gives you the Hazard Shield because I'd want to see what happened if you stepped into acid rain with that super hypermode.

Also, you can restart the Omega Ridley fight again after beating him if you return to his room, but you can't beat the Nova Beam phase of his fight with hypermode only.
Congratulations, you've broken Hypermode even further! I didn't think that was even possible.

lol, does that happen if you leave mogenar/helios's rooms as well, while in the perma-hyper mode?

I know that someone (Parax I think) was able to leave the Helios room during the fight, but it involves some crazy light show glitches to clip through the barriers to navigate back to the ship. I would imagine that Bryyo is the same way, since the barriers are exactly the same in those two seeds, but Elysia has the seeker locks. The Pirate ones are smaller; thus it's easier to clip back through them.

It's annoying that there's no secret world in the boss room. You can moon jump waaaaaay high into the air, but there's an invisible ceiling well beyond the visible one.
I'm surprised they'd put an invisible ceiling there, but not an invisible wall for this -

I run this here hotel of an evening
one of my scans seems to have unscanned itself. the gf blue door. i KNOW i scanned it on my first playthrough. i scanned everything in research, all but 4 lore, and all but 2 creatures.

anyone else have something like this happen?
