Yesterday when the AU was telling me to investigate artifacts on SkyTown, I was going fast enough that the transmission hadn't ended yet by the time I got Spider. Then after collecting it, it was still trying to tell me to investigate artifacts on SkyTown. After the transmission ended "investigate artifacts on SkyTown" appeared in my logbook under "current objectives" even though I'd already completed it. :P

Speaking of transmissions...not really a glitch, but I find it annoying that the transmission (of whatever objective) starts all over again if you hit a cutscene when the transmission is going on.  If you save just before a transmission ends, the transmission starts all over as well.

Yes and it's even more annoying that you always have to press 1 (for map) so the transmission doesn't start over if you hit a cutscene Evil or Very Mad .
Aww, but that's what lets you do things like listening to the trooper's transmission while looking at the trooper, who is clearly not transmitting anything. :(
I played for 2 hours, and decided after getting spiderball that I  would go into SW 3.... I did and I decided to try and stand on those round cylinders where the electrical puzzle is on the spider track...

They are NOT solid surfaces and I fell and got stuck onto the inside of one of the drums.  on top of that the game automatically morphed me....  I got stuck perminently because I only had 1 tank and 00 energy.....

Haha same happened to me some days ago, although I could enter hypermode and die, but trying to get out was at the same time frustrating and fun.
WTF Gandrayda glitch:

Basically just screw attack around Gandrayda/Ghor and he/she tries to grab you; if he/she succeeds, this happens. :P The game thinks you're in morph ball form and you can do everything you can do while morphed. Unmorphing returns everything to normal. My guess is they didn't bother making sure Ghor can't grab SA because you don't have SA during the Ghor fight and they just forgot about Gandrayda or something.
Heh, wow. Now that is some crazy glitch! Nice find.
Ok there's the new challenge.. beat gandrayda in 22% hyper in that mode. >.>
I seriously doubt beating Gandrayda in that state is possible, unless you can kill her entirely in morph ball form, which means you can't attack her Rundas form (need to use Grapple Lasso on the armor), her Berserker Knight form (need to shoot the projectiles), or her Ghor form (maybe you could, but his weak point seems pretty high up, plus it's pretty risky to be in morph ball form around him since he grabs you), so you're restricted to attacking the flying pirate (who has armor) and her normal form. Plus the cutscene where she turns into Samus probably unmorphs you. :P

That was hilarious and odd at the same time.
I just had a really wierd glitch happen to me that I haven't read about yet. I wasn't able to reproduce it, though.

You know when you're on your ship and you press a panel or your bobblehead, Samus raises her left arm with a pointing finger, so that you can press buttons and stuff? Well, I had a glitch where that arm was raised (and followed the cursor) while she had a 2nd (!) left arm that activated the middle panel for planet selection... I know that's probably unclear, but point of the matter is, Samus had 2 left arms on screen at the same time. Her "pointy finger" arm usually cannot be used freely around the ship, it's just there while you selected a panel / bobblehead.

Here's what happened. I boarded my ship, and I was spamming A+B (like I usually do when I want to skip a cutscene). As soon as the cockpit loaded, I had the screen "Do you want to exit the ship?" (like when you press B) so I pressed NO, and when I came back into the cockpit, her left arm was raised. It was over the bobblehead, but it wasn't "selected". I was able to point to the middle panel and select the planet where I wanted to go.

I tried pointing to the bobblehead and pressing A+B at the same time, but didn't get it to work a second time.
Metroid in wrong room - part 2

In the powerworks SW immediately after boosting off turn around. You should be able to jump on the spiderball track and can even go along it for a bit as if you were in morphball.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. In the elevators in the two landing docks in skytown you can use a bsj (might be a 2-bsj) to reach the top without making the elevater rise. Continue walking then turn around... POOF, the elevator is up.
Also can someone see if this is faster then riding the elevator? A normal bsj will reach, it just doesn't work for the glitch.
Disappearing Admiral Dane: FileFront | YouTube

Has happened twice in my SS attempts.
After collecting the Boost Ball, I rode the "cage" elevator back up to the top. I then I had a change of heart and decided I would go back down to investigate the boss room more closely. As soon as the elevator started moving, I heard the "item hum" start back up and I was immediately intrigued.

Once the elevator reached the bottom and the cage opened up, I looked down into the middle of it and sure enough, there's a second Boost Ball item down inside it. (Un?)fortunately, the boss didn't respawn as well, so this Boost Ball won't rise up out of the floor. I doubt there's any way to collect it, but it is interesting anyway.

If a SW is found in that room (or near it so you can wallcrawl to it, and the bottom of the cage isn't solid then you might get a shot, although finding SW in this game is a bit hard, and I would rather use my time in finding SW that would lead to an early item rather than a second boost ball, but awesome find though, very intresting indeed grin new

SW in that room = early spiderball & ZOMG INFINITE %

Out of curiosity, what was stopping us from getting early spider from the observatory SW? and why would this SW work? and would it be infinite % or just 101%? and would that boost ball be aquireable?

You can go higher then 100% if MP2 proves anything...

<_<
I know thats why I said if it woulñd be 101%, cause I think i'tll be only one boost there, so one more item, so 101%

I swear it said 100%...
If the boost reappears just by taking the elevator up and going back down, then theoretically you should be able to get as many boosts as you want.

-Kill Defense Drone, get Boost Ball
-ride elevator up and back down
-Enter SW, get Boost Ball
-Cutscenes warps you back into the room
-Repeat from step 2

I bet you can't get higher than 255%, though.

The Chozo Observatory SW doesn't work because it's in east Elysia, while spider is in West Elysia.

true true, thanks for clearing that out :)

lol.  Get boost over and over, beat the game with 100%, then you can say "I did a 100% speedrun".  I'm sure SDA would love that...
