Fight scene skip attempt in Bryyo, on the way to the grapple swing.

The video to which AJAX is referring:

And there's a reply video too:

Being able to use spiderball there is a glitch in itself (I wonder what we could do...).  Note that both people have HD displays.  The lightshow goes away when morphed (in Prime/Echoes once you had it it never went away until a cutscene or some such thing).  It's weird that entering the ship doesn't get rid of it.  Most weird of all is that at times it only affects the bottom half of the screen.  Is the game tiled on HD displays?

@Master ZED (and those who care):
Wrong roomed stickyness is gone.  I'll check that to be sure with a SW.  The minimap is useless for showing room membership, but scan visor works nice.  If you try a wrong-roomed morph near a door frame you can still teleport to the middle of that frame.  So morph SWs probably still exist. Using scan visor etc stops as you change rooms, so no "Where's the Room?" glitches from that.  Similarly, the space over doors is angled (or has something overhead), so no low SJs to get WtR?'s.  I didn't put too much time into testing everything, so there may be things yet.

I found that by myself when I did that bit in Prime 3.

It happened to me when I didn't see the cables above the elevator, and foolishly and like a noob tried to get through the gap in the elevator (Totally unlike me. I'm a pro at Metroid). Anyway, I found that I could hover, and when I unmorphed the glitch came. I was so pleased because I had found a repeatable glitch all by myself. grin new
Found this months ago, never bothered posting until now - in Docking Bay 5, if you SA the underside of the bridge connecting the landing site with the other part of the room, you'll get the SA glitch. :D

Also, I'm pretty sure that force field thing isn't a glitch. They only go up at the beginning to prevent you from skipping target shooting and at the Berserker fight to prevent you from getting out of the arena. Just load the room at any point other than those two times and the force fields won't go up. Heck, you can even just reload the room and they'll be down.

If you skip the South Jungle Court turret and return later you will see both pirates and Reptilicus in the same rooms!  I saw a Space Pirate actually "riding" one.  Looks like Korakk isn't their only beast of burden! laugh new
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
lol i had that one happen to me. i noticed something odd because both those 2 enemies were in the same room but didn't think more of it and started to kill them.
when destroying the bryyo seed´s shield generators

If you enter the north jungle court through generator hall north using the spring space jump...
And then destroy the cannon

When you return to north generator hall, the command visor will say: press Z to start bombing run
If you do press Z the icon of the bombing run disapears, the "destroy east and west generators" objectives turn as completed and the seed's shield stays in place

other one is :

if after destroying the cannon in north jungle court you go through the door that leads to north jungle hall... the cinematic of the flying space pirates pulling the security staples starts..

after the cinematic you get locked on north jungle court

because the cannon its already destroyed  :-s
and the shield in the doors dont disappear

Every Bit Counts
both already found.

That is so old!  It's on the Wiki, silly!
While playing Hypermode difficulty tonight I found a bizarre way to glitch out and crash the game. I have titled it the "unmorph into oblivion" bug. I did a search and I didn't find anything like this already reported, so forgive me if it is already known.

In that area near the beginning of Norion where you can go down into the vent shafts to get a missile tank after destroying some of those floating orb things, when you exit the pipes after getting the missile tank, it shoots your morph ball out at high speed with your camera fixed at a location in the hallway outside. Somehow, by unmorphing too quickly, I was able to throw the whole game off.

I ended up looking at an almost entirely black screen with a few polygons from the walls visible and most of the HUD glitched. I was taking constant damage from something, almost as if though it were an environmental effect, except it was making a collision sound (my theory is that I was somehow colliding with the enemy that shoots you in the morph ball area). The game was going extremely slow and none of the controls were responsive (I could not walk, I had no arm cannon and could not shoot, I could not jump, and trying to morph/unmorph would sometimes issue the "can't unmorph" sound, as though I were still inside a morph ball tunnel.

Even more bizarre though is what happened when I managed to get it to bring up the logbook screen. The map had vanished! Evidently I was now nowhere at all. After scrolling it around for a bit and then releasing to return the view to center on my "location," wherever that really was, the Wii rebooted completely.
oh wow, that sounds like the light show. Yet another place it can be triggered, I guess. Wonder if it's useful for anything. Possibly skipping part of Norion?

I had that exact thing happen to me my 1st playthrough of the game. strange

If you could find some way out of that state before you die from the constant damage, who knows? ;) I like the idea of it being somehow useful, but with the way the game behaves under those conditions, it seems pretty unlikely :(
Well, as seen [noembed][url=[/noembed], it seems to be possible to get out of it by triggering a cutscene. I guess it could probably work if you managed to trigger the elevator cutscene.

I wonder if it would be SDA-legal if it worked...
Anywhere, everywhere
Actually it was far different than the light show bug, at least for me. It stayed the same, but it was only going at about 5 frames per second. Also, I think I was in a sw state, but it was hard to tell... just forgot to mention it to you guys earlier.
tried doing it for about 15 minutes with no success... if you could provide any additional details (aka if you were holding any directions/buttons, etc), then that would be appreciated.

What I remember is that I unmorphed exactly as the morph ball zooms out of the tunnel in Cargo Hub. Like, before hitting the wall, or something. It might be random, but it's odd that Quasar and I both experienced this.
If you enter Grand Court on Bryyo for the first time in morph ball mode, there will be four enemies upon fighting instead of two, yet the trigger will still remain after killing two enemies.

I think that's if you get bryyo map before grapple swing.

That's probably it, I just didn't think that'd have anything to do with that trigger.
plasma beam v.2.0
and thats why i hate triggers.  at least in prime 1.  i got locked into a small room...
but they managed to fix most of the trigger gliches for prime three.  theres several places i can think of, but not name, that would have made me crazy if the triggers got messed up.

I can second that. It was definitely caused by trying to unmorph too quickly - more or less instantly in my case, and it is definitely related to the glitch that Paraxade found to reset Helios on the previous page - the effects are almost exactly the same. I had not seen that video until now.

The camera is in a very odd state as you come out of that morph ball tunnel - it locks into position in the hall outside so it can watch you come out of the tunnel. I recall that doing the unmorph too quickly caused the camera to begin drifting and do an odd little turn from that position just before the glitch really kicked in. It really caught me off guard and freaked me out :P

This sort of thing tends to happen when you're not trying to do it, which explains how it slipped past play testing :)

That being said, however, I will attempt to duplicate it and report back if I am successful.
Metroid Prime, what else?

Though it has nothing to do with anything (and may not even be a glitch) I recently found that during the fight with Dark Samus, If you skip the intro vid and then deal damage to her up until right before you would see the awesome spinning-kick cutscene (Where she clones and they both land simultaneously), and then damage her exclusively with screw attack (not too hard on Normal) and Missiles, then the next time you damage her with the rapid-fire beam when she is near a wall it will play that cutscene, but instead of there just being two of her, there are three clones, and the one in the middle does a back-flip, but hits the wall and lands really funny.

On a similar topic, I discovered that when fighting A.U. 313's second form, if it goes onto the ground and gets stunned by being hit with the Screw Attack, and that by turning around quickly and targeting it's weak point and Screw Attacking into it's weak spot, you can rob it of about 1/4 of it's health in one attack. :]

While there may be faster methods of beating it, combining this with other tricks may substantially reduce time needed to kill it.

(Also, if you have incredibly good reflexes and timing {and no, I haven't done this, but know it to be theoretically possible}, you could also do a spring-bsj {from the arena's walls} into a screw attack and hit it while it is stunned/doing it's wierd "spinny quadlaser" thing.)

Edit:-Has this already been discovered? I can't find mention of it on the main pages, but I was reading the "Time, %, Difficulty" thread and someone mentioned the Screw Attack with regard to the end of the game. It doesn't matter if it was already found, but I thought I might post anyways.
On the odd unmorph bug I found on Norion -- I cannot duplicate it in my current file. After going in and out of the morph ball tunnel a billion times, and unmorphing with virtually every possible timing and combination of movement, I cannot trigger the glitch.

I am starting to believe that this bug can only happen while the room is in its initial state. This room goes through at least four different states - the initial state with the floating enemies, the state where Ghor kills the Berserker Lord, the state during your trip to the Control Tower, and then finally the state after beating Norion. Whatever triggers this may be specific to the initial state, so the next time I start a new game I will try it there - or somebody else starting a new game could try it ;)

I did however find another useless glitch. When you shoot out of the morph ball tunnel, the panel of the wall across the hallway that you are intended to collide with is programmed to emit a distinct collision sound. If you unmorph in time or veer away from that panel by holding directions on the control stick, then the panel will remain set to emit that sound, and will do so the next time you even slightly touch it in morph ball form, even if this is an hour later :)
