I heard about using a ghetto jump and screw attack in this room from someone here (I'm not sure who it was) and was trying it out while I was collecting energy cells. I wasn't getting enough height and kept just hitting the wall. I then noticed that the camera was at some times going outside of the room so that I was seeing into a secret world.

Am I doing ok? This is my first day as a member here.
...
I noticed this as well.  However, there is currently no way to enter the SW.
I founds something wierd while fighting Gandrayda. She was in her Berserker Lord/Knight form. I had already destroyed the armor plating and was seeing how effective screw atttack was. I had turned to face her after the first or second attack (I forget which but its probably not important) when everything started vibrating up and down for a few seconds. We were both against the wall; that might have messed things up. I don't remember if it was the entire screen that was vibration or just the scenery (in which case Samus would be the one vibrating). Next time I fight her I'll record it and see if I can get it to happen again.

That happens when she grabs you.

I found something that could possibly lead to a secret world, but I dunno. In the lower part of turbine chamber, I shot the two locks holding the turbine thing in place. Since I was going for speed, I tried to jump to the side of the turbine as it spreads apart to get to the other side. However, I got stuck in the turbine! I was able to move around a little bit with the hyper ball, and I got stuck in the wall. But, I didn't have enough energy for more hyper ball-ing (BALLIN') and I was stuck forever.

Yeah, but she didn't grab me, she was in her berserker knight form.

UPDATE: I just found three other oddities. The first happened when I was fighting the Pirates for Nova Beam. I think I was screw attacking when I got hit with a phazon grenade and after the normal white flash I found that I was morphed. Not sure that's a glitch. Later, when I screw attacked into the teleporter that would take me to the orbiting leviathan I heard the sound of screw attack hitting the wall during the cutscene but not when I screw attacked into the teleporter to take me back. Finally when I was fighting Dark Samus for some reason she created two echoes without first causing the cutscene. They started charging immediately energy from Phaaze. It was not ontil later that the echo-creating cutscene triggered and when it did it showed the creation of two echoes rather than the normal one the real DS and the normal echo acted normally while the oddball backflipped into the wall.
I haven't had time to read through this topic, but I made a recording of infinite speed on Elysia.

Sorry the quality's so crap, I'm hoping youtube gives a "high quality" option because "&fmt=18" url extension isn't working. Here's FF alternative.

plasma beam v.2.0
so, where are you at in that??

also, i found a possible SW, i have yet to enter, but i have gotten stuck to the wall.  in tower, i was trying to get the early etank, and failed miserably for about 25 minutes then decided to try in the exit hole and get in from there.  i ghettoed of the small snow bank in the hole.  my remote, as always, made samus aim in the most random direction, so i turned to the wall nearest the door.  after the second jump i got stuck and everything was black but i could see the door through the wall.  further testing has failed to produce positive results.  already tried SA, bsj SAing into it for further hight, and morphing while stuck... that didnt happen.  kinda useless SW though, if ever found.

oh, forgot one.

in elysia, the outdoor room befor the droid and boost ball.  you can get to the second grapple point and with some investigating, maybe the third.  doesnt save time because then you have to turn yourself.

I used the zipline station charlie SW then walked for about half a minute to an unloaded area.
plasma beam v.2.0
ah, elysia outdoors all looks the same so it was hard to tell, but that would make more sence than powerworks, or whatever it is.  funny thing is, i was going to ask if anyone had found an IS glitch in p3 yet, but now we need to find a use.  great find though.
That's just boosting while falling endlessly in a SW. It's not IS.  There is one spot where you can trigger IS, though; spring ball at the gap in the broken elevator in Lift Hub (Pirate Homeworld).
plasma beam v.2.0
so, there likely isnt the door trick IS in 3?
Bananas GOOD, Kremlings BAD
Not likely.  A long time ago I tried it, and although you DO get stuck, the morphball can't rotate freely unless you're in hypermode.  So, unless you can get the IS within 25 sec or corruption, I don't think it's going to happen.
plasma beam v.2.0
on the other hand, i got the ball to spin like mad in a corner and was unable to keep it there because after 2 seconds the camera changed and i rolled to the middle of the room.  doesnt matter much since i wasnt stuck and it was likely me climbing a wall with no slope.

I only boosted at the beginning though. The rest of the time boost + down was held, which caused the perpetually faster spinning.
It's not faster spinning, you're just falling faster. It's still not IS.
plasma beam v.2.0
the ball did spin after boosting, so it might be IS.
Thought I'd mention I found a youtube video of that weird Norion morph tunnel exit glitch I brought up a couple pages ago:

This is the first time I've seen this particular one caught on video, though similar bugs have turned up, in particular the Helios exit vid, where some similar behavior was displayed temporarily. I am extremely curious about what causes the persistent loss of health when you are in this bizarre state. It almost seems intentional, but I suppose it could simply be a result of undefined behavior in the clipping engine.  When this happens, you hear an almost constant collision sound as though you are ramming into an enemy or a damaging surface - in other words, it's not an environmental effect. It makes me wonder if it's somehow related to infinite speed, because it seems to totally glitch up your positioning and clipping. If this could ever be made to happen in a room with no monsters, this question might be answerable - if I'm right, then no monsters would mean no persistent damage.

This is probably useless anyway. Aside from the Helios exit video, I've never seen anybody make it out of this glitch alive. It locks your controls up almost completely. Trying to morph/unmorph will issue the sound indicating you're in a morph ball tunnel the first few times, and then even that usually quits working.
glitch collection

I've seen the metroid in wrong room glitch but never heard what causes it.

Basically, when a metroid is about to charge you, open a door to a different room and go through the door just as the metroid is about to grab you.  It might take a few tries, but it is fairly easy to do.

I was playing through this game again, and... wow... the more I play it, the more it amazes me. The sheer amount of detail in this game is astounding and it's really a blast playing through it again.

Anways, I was just posting that screw attacking into a jelsac looks rather funny. It doesn't explode or have a dying animation or anything, it just... disappears. It's as if it was never even there.
BANNED
well, i killed omega ridley once and his cutscene was rather....strange. right before i killed him he was going to fly, and in the cutscene it showed ridley dieing in the air. pretty weird
In Elysia's Aurora Chamber I rolled into the morph ball elevator after welding but before the cutscene started, and afterwards the elevator stopped moving... it wouldn't take me to the morph ball tunnel. Seems there's no way out other than a reset. :(

lol, being punished for going very fast. sucks.

Well, I once heard Echoes hates speed runners. I guess it's the same here.
