Quote from Liku:
Try finding "Secret Worlds" where they'd help for speed running, or you could make a new topic on them.

As for High Ground, I knew about that, though I use a much faster approach.

From the small ledge that's near the Second Artifact; you can get on the edge, jump and scan the switch, bringing the the platform over. From there, you jump across the first two platforms and jump to the one you just activated.

Been using it for a while now.

Aren't Secret Worlds Illegal in speed runs?
only if you want to submit them to sda for status as a record there.
okay, here it is: i know i got the order wrong, but i can fix it

Adventure mode secret worlds:

SW 1: Echo Hall
Found by: Metroid072
description: In the echo hall tunnel room, there is 2 crates that sit across the room from eachother. Jump on the one that is next to a corner, which is on the other side of the room. Then hit the pad to the right/left (depending which side you're on. Right side is you facing the wall, left is facing the morph ball tunnel, with a bomb/beam powered door), and jump. You will warp through the roof, and fall to you doom.
Vid:

Special SW tricks, Echo Hall:

When you warp through the roof, you will see the morph maze below you, try to land in the tunnel, so by hitting the pad to the left/right (again, depending on which side you're on), you will actually warp through the tunnel, and land in it too! From here, you can just walk around the tunnel, shoot at the top/ceiling, and can get a nice view of the whole maze. But eventually, you will need to reset, because you can't morph for some reason.

SW 2: Thermal Vast
Found by: Dr. Trence
When you unmorph, at the front, you will see to the left of you a big pile of blocks. Jump in the lava and dbj onto the platform. Here, look up, and you will see a big pipe connected to the ceiling. Do a dbj onto it, and unmorph, then stick to the wall, (hold the d-pad left) and slowly walk ahead. At a point, you will see a big gap, this is where the sw is. When you come up to it, just hold down the d-pad, don't hold it foward or anything. This is because if you don't do it right, you will just pop through the wall, and not the sw, and will need to start over. So, when you get it down right, you will (as always), die.

Alternate Secret World 2: Thermal Vast
Found by: Mr Potter
This was actually the first one found. It involves jumping in midair after going on the jump pad. It will get you lodged in the Morph Ball tunnel, similar to my Morph secret world trick.

Special SW tricks, Thermal Vast

1: When you start to fall, when you see the black gap, you will see a "lava ledge". This ledge is NOT in the real room, it is only in the sw. Try to land anywhere on the lava ledge. If you did it right, you will get damaged by the lava. From here, you can walk around the room, while in the sw! But be careful to not warp through the wall, stick to the edge. This trick may lead to some sw techniques.

2: This involves the "lava ledge" trick, and doesn't work yet, but i'm still testing it. When you are on the lava ledge, just basically walk off the edge, and at the peak of the "critical fall", activate your jump, (hence "ledge jump") you will still die, but the point is too prevent yourself from dieing, so you can walk freely around the "blank" space. But so far, you still die. It could work though, but it will be VERY hard to prevent myself from deing.

SW 3: Vesper Defense Outpost
Found by: Mr Potter
His notes at scu:
Quote:
I was fighting Spire today somewhere in Vesper Defense Outpost on the way out of the level after defeating Slench 4. I got out the shock coil and started using it on him. He went into alt-form and started hitting me with the Dialanche repeatedly. He cornered me and kept using the Dialanache while I aimed down with the Shock Coil. Well, a second later I popped through the wall and into the secret world. I fell to the standard and started walking around. Soon I started to take damage and when I died, I got the message "Hunter has taken an Octolith".

Secret World: Bio Defense Chamber B (during Slench 3 fight)
Found by:Dark_SA-X and Banjo2553
Stay on the very edge of the room, next to a wall, and have Slench 4 ram you. You may fall through.

Special SW techniques/tricks

1: Morph Secret World:
Found by: Dr. Trence

Morph into a ball, and roll towards a tunnel. At the right time, unmorph. If you did it right, you will unmorph inside the tunnel, and be able to get a glimps at the "boundaries" there is in a sw. This does take a while, and doesn't work in every tunnel or room. (as far as i know) Unfourtanetly, you can't jump though the roof, or tunnel, so the only way to get out is to morph again, or just walk out of the tunnel. But, in certain rooms (such as frost labyrinth maze), you can actually walk around the tunnel, as opposed to being stuck in it.
Vid:

Roof Warp:
Found by: Mr Potter

Very odd trick. First, stand on some sort of item/block (this will be referring to the Echo Hall SW), and then put yourself against a wall. Then jump while holding the d-pad right/left. You will warp through the roof and end up in the sw. Sometimes, you can do this while you are in a small room, with a small roof, because the point is to warp through the roof, while using the object as an extra height-giver. This doesn't work in every room, except for echo hall.
Example of Roof Warp: Echo Hall SW

Alt. Form Warp:
Found by: ???

Very unusual trick, but it is very similar to the roof warp, only with the exception of a push out of the room. First, go into a corner, and get a hunter go go in it's alt. form (alternitave form), then try to make it lunge at you, if it got you good enough, you will glitch through the wall, and end up in the sw. Most of the multi-player sw's were created using this.

Wallcrawl:
Found by: rekameohs?

I have made this technique the most useful in Alinos, alinos gateway. Where rekameohs has also came close to find a sw. First, find a big slanted wall, and jump towards it, you will see that you are actually crawling up the wall! But make sure you are actually holding down the d-pad left, or right, or up. It is a slow process, but still something. VERY helpful, i have almost come close to a sw using this.

Secret Worlds close to being discovered:

1: Alino's Gateway:

This involves the wallcrawl trick. So, behind the ship is a lava-fall. To the right of it is a big boulder. Walk in the lava up to it, and wallcrawl on the corner of the boulder, and the wall. When you get to the top, you'll see that you are on top of a small cliff. From here, proceed to the right, but, if you want there is small glitch while on this cliff:

-Glitch
Use your beam and shoot at the left rock pillar. You will notice that the beam shots will disappear. They are just not there... But if you shoot anywhere else in the room, the shots will "magically" appear. Just a small graphic glitch

Anyway, proceed to the right, and hold the d-pad left. You will wallcrawl when you walk off the edge. But, if you want you can just jump, to gain more height. But either way, you'll need to gain more height. So, when you're against the wall, repeatilly hold the d-pad left, up, left, up. You will gain the extra height this way. When you see a stop in the increase of height, hold the d-pad up, and left in a certain angle. A few feet later, you'll notice that the wall won't be slanted anymore and you will fall off the wall. But, there's still hope, if you let go of the buttons, then hold it in the same angle again, when you see a slanted part of the wall, you'll grip onto it again. If you did it wrong, you will just fall, so this part can be tricky sometimes. So, when you get it down, you will end up behind a big patch in the wall. Just keep movin foward, you will just go over the wall. After you crawl over it, you will see a platform a little above you. Gain the height by using the left, up, left up trick. When you get on the top, keep going until you come up to the platform, stamped against the wall. Then just land on it. This is pretty much the dead-line, but ahead of you is a big pipe connected to the platform you are standing on, and to another one. If you try to land on it, you will just get pushed to the side. These pipes and patches are just graphical objects that aren't usable, like to stand on, shoot at, etc. But i haven't tried to get past the pipe, so i or someone else can test that out sometime later.

2: Boss Room Hallways:

When you arrive in a boss room hallway, you will see ahead of you these green things that are on the wall. Jump on the series of green steps that are on the right of the room. When you get on the top green thing, hold the pad up, and aim down, you will see slightly a small portion of the "black space", which represents it as a sw. You can't get in it in any way, but hopefully me or someone else will find a way, maybe i can get inside using the rocket jump? Or something. But so far, these small glitches are useless.

Multi-player Secret Worlds

SW 4: Celestrial Archives:
Trick: Alt. Form Warp
Founder:  Electrometer Prime

In the landing site, get a alt. form to push you through a cornered wall, you will fall backwards and die.

SW 5: Ice Hive
Found by: boble_dude0
His notes at the scu forum:
Quote:
ok, go to ice hive as samus (you can do this with any character but I just think double bomb bouncing is easier). anyway, go to where there's that double-damage item and spikes below you. Now, THIS IS IMPORTANT SO LISTEN! go to the jump pad and get to the level above you. do you see where the wall separates into snow/ice all around the room? shoot around there, one part of the snow/ice above the wall hasen't been programmed to be solid so you can double bomb jump or use the jump pad to get through it!

Secret World 6: Ice Hive (multiplayer)
Found by: REVLINK3 of Nintendo's forums
Quote:
now i dont know if this will work everytime or if this is just a one time thing because ive only gotten it once before but, on ice hive, the map from acctera, if you go to the place where the control panel would normaly be and walk backwards to the right at a certain angle you will fall out of the level. you wont die and you can still see the level, but no one else can see you, and its almost impossable for anyone else to shoot you. im not sure how i did it but it was awesome. i beat the bots realy easy and they couldnt figure out where i was.

And then there is one "not a secret world but going through the wall glitch" in Alinos Gateway in mulitplayer. Go to the little crack in the wall under the Imperialist and morph while holding right. Inside of this wall you can see and fire at your opponents, but they can't fire or see back.

These are all the known sw's, but there are many more. But as far as i know, they haven't been confirmed. And since i can't play mult-player, i can't confirm it myself. So, that's all the known and confirmed sw's!
Well, here's the first three pages of tricks compiled in a list:

Quote:
[Planet]
( Room )
- Trick - Description (Credits)

[Celestial Archives]
( Incubation Vault 01/03 )
- Jump to the Second Floor Method 1 - In the first Incubation Vault (01), if you want to get from the bottom "floor: to the top, go to a wall that if you get on top, will lead you to the rest of the top "floor". DBJ along its side, and at the very top, unmorph. If it give you the boost you need to get up there with out all the portals. (radu242)
- Jump to the Second Floor Method 2 - Slide up the side of the Incubation Chamber in the middle of the room and jump to the platform above you. (Liku)
( Synergy Core )
- Bypass the Volt Driver door and Elevator - you can use the "blue tubes" to jump up to the jump pad to get to the Volt Driver door. It's tricky and I don't know if it saves time, but the elevator seems to take a while to get up. (Liku)

[Alinos]
( High Ground )
- Skip the Judicator Shield Method 1: There's a high section that is right near where the third artifact in the room can be found, along one of the walls. Walk up the slope to where the artifact is/would be, then turn around and walk up the rest of the slope. This second part has a wall along the left side, to prevent you from falling down into the room; once at the top of the slope, walk along this thin wall, to the end (which is rounded, just so you know what I'm talking about). Turn right so you're facing the highest plateau there, which you'd normally go along a path in the wall to get to. Then, morph, perform a simple DBJ and then slide the stylus forward to boost in midair, and voila, you're on the platform. (ajbolt89)
- Skip the Judicator Shield Method 2:
( Thermal Vast )
- Skip riding the Platforms Method 1 - Instead of using the very slow platforms to cross the room, just hop across the rocks in the lava. Then do a DBJ onto the platform with the tunnel. (Mr Potter)
- Skip riding the Platforms Method 2 - Morph Ball Boost through the lava and use a DBJ over the gate. (Liku)
( Alinos Perch )
- Skipping Platform Activation - You can reach the door without ever using the 2 back jump pads. If you jump onto where the pad is (while it's not activated), then jump over to the ledge near the door, DBJ up to the ledge to your left. Then turn to face the door, DBJ up towards the door and unmorph while holding UP. (Andrew Mills)
( Piston Cave )
- DBJ to the ledge - In Pistol Cave, you can do a DBJ from the first step to the key, saving you having to bomb jump all the way up and move around. Saves a few seconds at least. (Andrew Mills)

You'll catch the ledge, now simply walk left, then hold up to move towards the door. Cool Now collect the artifact without ever using the far side jump pads.

[Vesper Defence Outpost]
( Fuel Stack )
- Quick Third Artifact - After getting the key for the last artifact, you can do a dbj boost back up the platform rather than going around the paths again to get it. (bartendorsparky)

[Arterra]
( Ice Hive )
- Early Missile Expansion Method 1 - Press into the corner of the wall near the ledge where the Missile Expansion is, and you'll walk your way up and eventually be able to jump to the ledge. (bartendorsparky)
- Early Missile Expansion Method 2 - You use the Activated Jump Pad to launch yourself to the opposite side of the jump pad to land right next to (or I suppose possibly right on) a missile pack. Since you're already morphed, you can then roll along the ledge and into the hole in the wall. This places you on the other side of a purple shield, allowing you to reach a ship deck portal marginally earlier than you normally would, as well as get some scans. (ajbolt89)
- Jump to the Boss Portal - You can use the ice near the wall next to the Portal to the Ship to jump to the Boss Portal.
- Skip the Barbed War Wasp Battle - Using the above tricks, you can skip the Barbed War Wasp battle, never having to activate the door. (bartendorsparky, Mr Potter)
- Early Judicator Method 1 -  Instead of using the Morph Ball path to get the Judicator, you can do a DBJ from the ledge and reach the Judicator. (bartendorsparky)
- Early Judicator Method 2 - Jump onto the broken pilar and use a MBJ to launch yourself, to the ledge with the Judicator. (Liku)
( Fault Line )
- Skip making the Pillar Fall Method 1 - You can use a DBJ back to where you came from. (Phazon Siphon)
- Skip making the Pillar Fall Method 2 - You can MBJ yourself from the top of the hill to make it to the ledge. (Liku)
( Drip Moat )
- Skip the Platform Ride - In the room Dip Moat in Arcterra, instead of taking the slow moving platform to the other side, you can jump on one of the ledges on either side and roll along it in MB. (primetime)

[Oubilette]
( Long Hall )
- Faster Energy Tank - At the end of the hall, there's rocks below the platform which has the portal that leads you to the Energy Tank room. You can use the rocks to jump up on the platform, rather than taking the Morph Ball tunnel up. (Liku)

If anyone would like to continue this, be my guest.
Anywhere, everywhere
Dr. Trence, here are some more Secret Worlds for you to put in your list.

Alternate Secret World 2: Thermal Vast

This was actually the first one found. It involves jumping in midair after going on the jump pad. It will get you lodged in the Morph Ball tunnel, similar to your Morph secret world trick.

Secret World 4: Bio Defense Chamber B (during Slench 3 fight)
Found by:Dark_SA-X and Banjo2553
Stay on the very edge of the room, next to a wall, and have Slench 4 ram you. You may fall through.

And then there is one "not a secret world but going through the wall glitch" in Alinos Gateway in mulitplayer. Go to the little crack in the wall under the Imperialist and morph while holding right. Inside of this wall you can see and fire at your opponents, but they can't fire or see back.
Liku and I searched Alinos Gateway for forty minutes and didn't find anything. Before that I'd searched the room a ton and didn't find anything. And before that, it was still hopeless. Trust me, AG has no secret world.
well, i updated my list, and i should take down the "AG  sw". there are many alternative ways to climbing up to the top of ag's room, but they don't lead to anything.

did you try to bypass that big pipe liku or mr potter? i haven't gotten past that part, but it still might not get anything. most of the rooms here are blocked off from some barrier, but we could get something like how we did when i got tht big gap in thermal vast. i might make my list a topic, and i still need to update it with the sw's rek posted
Are you talking about the huge dark brown arc that encompasses the lavafall? We didn't find a way.
no, i meant this:

this is the point where i can get to, but i can't get past that big pipe.

There's a way to DBJ to the top of Alinos Gateway from right by the door. not like it matters, but you can touch the roof of the level...

there's this big pillar that is kinda destroyed. there's also this spot where you can bomb jump as much as you want and you wont move (in other words, its completely flat). You can DBJ-unmorph onto the next platform, and if you line up yourself right, you can morph and be held on the platform by the big wire thing. you can dbj up from there to the next big piece of rock, and then from there with a well-timed jump, you can go to the wall of the room.

Probably been found, and likely useless, but its another sniping spot...
awsome, i just tried it, and am at the top of the room. i will probaly test this out to see if it can lead to a sw. which i'm sure it will, or at least get us to another part of the room...

I dont think you can slide along the walls... I discovered it quite a while ago and didnt bother reporting it, because i discovered on my own the method of walking up the walls at the lavafall.
well, there is a slanted wall on the top, there you can use the wallcrawl trick, but so far, it doesn't do anything.

so what are you saying? you found the "wallcrawl"? because i gave the credit to rekameohs because he mentioned the lava fall sw thing, so i thought he found the trick, but if you found it first, just didn't mention it, then i don't know...

no no no. I found it myself, then mentioned it the very same day right after it, and someone else had already found it. :P

I got the game over two weeks after it had come out.
oh, okay, i got a little confused there :p

heh, what do you know? i can actually land on a stack of blocks by using the broken pillar, then use the wallcrawl to travel to the right side, then land on the blocks. the blocks are on the right side of the ship, from where i can see right now with my DS next to my laptop (i had to use my imperialist and zoom in to see what direction the ship was pointing :p)

edit: okay, i just traveled half across the room, while wallcrawling, and from which point i'm standing is on the tall pillar, which is on the- *uses imperialist to zoom into ship* directly at the right of the ship. wow lazylen, your trick might turn into a sw, from where i am!

edit 2: well, i went around the WHOLE room, but didn't find any gap or anything that i could enter. maybe mr potter was right, there isn't a sw in ag... and that is about the 3rd method i can use to go around the room, but still couldn't find anything. ag is only useful for the graphic glitchs then.
There's no where you can go, Potter said we explored the room, and we did, we went around everything, there's a ceiling blocking you.
i know, i tried all the possible methods, and didn't get anything either. most of the rooms are blocked off with that invisible barrier. so the only way to get a sw is too find something like how i did, and using the roof warp trick.
Popping through the collisions is probably the only way, which just leads to death.
well, you when you arrive in the sw, you don't die. you can either do the "thermal vast around the room" trick, while in the sw state, or the "echo hall tunnel room" trick. those are probably the only ways that can prevent you from deing when you first enter the sw.
You die because you fall to death. Unless there's collisions that protrude out of the rooms bounds, there's nothing to hold you up.

I don't know about the Thermal Vast "Secret World," but the Echo Hall  one just sounds like you're getting suck in the geometry in the ceiling (Which is just the floor of the room on top of the maze) and walking around in the maze. You're still in the room.
both secret worlds provide the ledges and tunnels to keep you in the room, while in the sw state. when you are in the morph maze below echo hall, while in human form, you are technically still in the sw. the "invisible" barrier in the tunnel that prevents you from unmorphing while in it is that thing in every tunnel, but when in the sw, you surpass that barrier. when you are in the tunnel, try to shoot at the top of the tunnel, you'll see that that "invisible" barrier is there, that is what prevents you from unmorphing. and since you technically past a uncommon wall, you're in the sw.

thermal vast has a "lava" ledge that isn't in the real room, you can only get to it escaping the room. hence it called the  "around thermal vast" trick.
(user is banned)
there's a place in AG where if you walk up the wall by pressing into it, you'll find that what is shown as the ground doesn't match up with where the collision detectors are. Just a neat trick i guess. perhaps a good sniping spot for trace... no solid ground though.
news, news... lazylen has yet again found a 7th alternative route for multi-players best snip shots... :p
Now that there's a secret world topic, I guess we can take secret world discussion over there and speak of sequence breaking here.

Has anyone found a great Arcterra speed trick yet?
Minor speed trick of sorts: In rooms with an enemy that fires a battlehammer (a turret or psychobit or something) if you are moving away from it, and it hits you, it will push you forwards, saving a little bit of time. Of course there is a flip side too, if you are trying to move towards the enemy, it will push you back.

Also, has anyone tried to use the pop-through-the-wall glitch to get through a force field? If it works on walls, it might work on force fields too, but this might be too limited, I think the only enemies that can push you through a wall are Trace, Spire, and (maybe) Noxus. Perhaps someone could test to see if this works. If it does work, then it might be possible to use it to push you through the force field in Arcterra that blocks you from reaching the second half. You could use the portal to get back, but you would still have to eventually remove the force field to escape the boss. It also might be useful elsewhere, but I can't think of anything specifically right now.
