doesnt that work with a super missle? according to Dereks chart, the super missle slightly gives you a smaller boost, but i dont see why that doesnt work. i should test that out

Forgot about that, and it works. So that's a much faster way of getting the Judicator.

So you can just use a super missile blast to reach the Judicator even quicker then?  :o
Yup, I'll get video of that too.
oh yeah im the man  :p

Ready and willing.
Metroid gets rocket jumps.
only in this game though...

anyway, i posted this technique a few posts up, but i think i have found a way to enter a sw easier. it is where you morph into a ball, roll towards a tunnel, and at the last second, unmorph. and if you're lucky, you will be inside of the tunnel. but for some reason, i can't pop out of it like how you can in mp2. i first did it in celestrial archives, and then i did it in echo hall, alinos. but like i said, i can't pop out of the tunnel. i pressed all the jump buttons (a, b, x, y) and used the stylus to move around, but i can only see the screen shake. but this will be very useful to finding new secret worlds, but i still need to find out how you jump out of the tunnel

i know that mr potter is trying to find out if you could get magmaul before judicator, and this could be very useful. but the thing is that i can't remember if there is a tunnel at in high grounds that you could use. but i will probably look around and see if there is. but i don't even know if this trick could work, because i haven't found out if you can actually get in the sw as opposed to just stuck in the tunnel. but i'm almost on the verge of getting in the secret world. if anyone found a way to enter it, then let me know. and if this trick has been discovered, it's not my fault.

if you want pics of me in the tunnel, then here they are: but i'm still trying to find out how to get in the sw. if anyone knows how to enter it, let me know

edit: if you also want a vid of me morphing inside of the tunnel, just ask

Dont know if its been found already, but i found a way to get a missile faster in Ice hive on arcterra...

its probably so obvious that its been found though....

You basically use the jump pad at an akward angle and float up to the missile, and then you can get to the Judicator room faster than normal as well.

I don't see why, but I'll agree.

And using the Jump Pad to get the ME has been posted.

i feel your pain, i got the game about 5 days ago, i thought i found a speed trick, but someone else did... but good job finding it yourself!

That's the best part.

Luckily, I got the game the first day and beat it by the second. I've had plenty of time to tinker.
yea, it's like me just finding out that technique where you can unmorph in the tunnel, and enter a sw. it makes you feel good inside  :D
i felt the same way when i thought i found a new way to get the judi beam faster, but unluckily, someone always finds it before you.

You know, that Morph Ball tunnel thing was found before you, too.

If I remember correctly, enddor got there when trace pushed him in with its alt attack. But I may be wrong. Rolling Eyes

Edit: I just checked to make sure and I'm right. http://www.metroid2002.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4874
Time of Prime is correct.

Ah, my bad, that is teh doc's discovery.
yes...your bad indeed.

This got me thinking and I did some experimenting, I found that all of the following will make you jump...
I haven't gotten the Volt Cannon yet, so somebody might want to test that.

Well, bad news, the Volt Driver takes off a whopping 45 energy and will barely let you jump at all. Rolling Eyes  Great, just great.

yeah.. i did some research and i didn't find anything that involved the morph ball trick thing. and yes, the volt driver doesn't give you a boost at all if i can remember. but it doesn't really matter, i don't think any other beam will give you a boost like how the magmaul does.
Yeah, I just got the Volt Driver last night and found that out, with its large blast I figured it might do something, but I guess not. Charged Magmaul and Super Missile still give you a nice boost though (I'm pretty sure that they give the same boost).
the super missle gives a slightly smaller boost than the magmaul. i tried it out myself on a small pillar and i noticed that i was higher on the pillar than i boosted myself with the super missle, but the magmaul is MUCH more relaible

the sad thing is that i raided the first station after i got the battlehammer and only found a UA expansion, then i came back after the Magmaul and only found the VD then...  Embarassed
i think i have found a way to do a triple bomb jump (3bj) in the game. i'm not completly sure if it works at all, but i will test it out on the "artifact before volt driver" that i did a while back, if i can get the extra height, i'll make a vid of it and post it. anyway, i should make a vid of the 3bj anyway, since it's kinda' complex. still, i can't tell from a regular dbj and the 3bj i found, but heres how to do it:

morph into a ball
lay your first 3 bombs at a regular speed (try to count "one-two-three" at the fast pace)
when you come to the ground, you will blast a 2nd time, when you see yourself blow up, lay the 3 bombs in a order
if it works, you will see the morph ball blast up "smoothly", as opposed to the ball falling a little, then blasting up from the 2nd bomb

i will make a post of the vid tonight, i don't record in the day-light (at this time, it's sunny), but anyway, if you want to try it out for yourself, then do it somewhere where there is a lot of space, much like high ground where i did it. but i will try it out in synergy core (ca) tonight and see if i can get the extra height, and land on the platform. wow, this is the 2nd technique that i found by myself... i'm good! :p

Don't feel bad, the same thing happened to me. After my fifth octolith I went back to CA and looked in that room and only found the UA expansion like you. I figured that the VD must be on Arcterra or Vesper (the two I hadn't visited a second time yet). I returned again after visiting those two and still wondering where the VD was, and only then found it, so I actually fought Slench 4 before Slench 3  Laughing
