What the fuck happened to spoiler tags?
Life Giver should be gotten at the end. Also, Magma Pool's IS is extremely hard so i'll probably just end up getting the early pb in Phendrana.

I just saved in Ruined Courtyard before Thardus at 34min. Thardus is a lot harder when you don't have plasma.

Jagger ftw
T3, 4 min thardus. You can do this too with super missile

O yeah, pick up as much as missile as possible ^^.

hive mecha (5)
the room with map station (10)
before charge beam (15)
after bomb at the top of gathering hall (20), double bomb jump.
root cave (?) 25, after boost ball. *Under the bridge*
Landing site 30.
Magmoor (On top of a walk way )35
The room with metroid and energy tank (you can space jump to skip most of the platform), 40
The room before super missile (45).

Yes, I've been trying Magma IS early PB for about 1 hour and couldn't find the right angle. It feels like its impossible in MPT - did anybody got it yet?
Stefan got it.
Jagger ftw
Wasn't that Jap's version?

Actually it was only the japanese version. I don't think anyone has gotten it yet in the trilogy version yet.

My Thardus fight was quite slow from the lack of missiles but my Wild segment was excellent. I even got the dsbj out of hote on my first try. Anyway, I just saved at Magmoor Workstation right before plasma at 51min.

Edit: Just saved after plasma at 54min. I got the puddle spore bounce in 1 attempt and I climbed Geo Core very quickly.

Thats' seems to be a great result. How long did the Thardus fight take you anyway?
It took me 4min and it was a relatively slow fight.

I have run into a problem with the speedrun though. I got plasma by using my only power bomb and saved at Workstion. Well, now I have nothing to get into the mines with. I've tried to get refills from the space pirates but they give out nothing and I have also even tried with the triclops but they don't seem to give power bomb refills.

I do still have to get Spirit so i've tried to get a refill from the hunter but i've tried for like an hour of attempts and he still hasn't given me one. I never had this problem in the GC version.
The triclops do give them out. Not very often, though. You need to get pretty lucky.

Okay, i'll keep trying but it's really becoming very annoying.

Edit: Finally, I got the refill. It took me a couple of days but I finally got it and completed the segment. I'm now on the Warrior segment but it's quite difficult. I've practiced boosting through the wall and I can finally do it very quickly. Ore processing is hard to climb in this version so I might just do it the intended way.
I found ore processing easier TBH. Exacerbated ghetto jumps = easier.
The ghetto jumps are not easier or better in this version. When locked on, they are identical to the GC version's ghetto jump. I don't see how it could possibly be easier.
This is untrue. SW9's ghetto jump is severely exacerbated, along with many other ghettos.
Got past the Warrior segment, now i'm heading back up for X-ray, Chozo and World. This one's tough because i'm using the freez dash out of Life Grove to skip the ghost fight. This should knock off a minte or so.

I'm really starting to think geting under 1:38 is impossible. I really don't know how Gu3st got 1:38. I mean, I got space jump early, early plasma and loads of other tricks he didn't use and yet I think i'm going to get somewhere in 1:40. I'm spending a lot of time on each segment too so I really don't know how he could be beating me.
Watch Stefans run. It's pretty much the same thing.
Except Stefan had the advantage of not needing an early power bomb and could go right into the mines. He also didn't go through the pirates base to get spider ball early on because he could bypass furnace with a bsj. The 2 things they changed for the trilogy were really quite big so I don't know how Gu3st almost matched Stefan's time.
IBBF lets you get Ice beam whenever you want, minus spider. TBH I don't know.

Maybe he actually meant 1:48, which is a little more reasonable. I just can't see anyone matching Stefan's time in the trilogy version.
Jagger ftw
Because for about a good 2 weeks (in the summer), while you guys were arguing the sw stuff, I've been practice.
I am not sure if the time, but I know it was sub 1:50.

To be honest, you guys are too left winged; you guys need to think outside of the box ^^.
I'll show you guys somethings once I get my wii back.

So you'll be showing us in 8 months?

Also, this segment is causing me a lot of trouble. The freez dash is very hard to do off the rock. The dash is very hard to pull off on the first try and if you mess up, it takes about 20secs for the enemy to get back in position. That one dash has killed 95% of the runs.
Jagger ftw
I meant something else baby.

T3, I'll be back in chrismas ^^. Grade 12s got lots of crap to do (;
are you talking about SJF?
You can practice freez dash all you want if you don't let go of the lock. Because the seedlings stays locked on WAYY farther than the gc versions.
I'm talking about the freez dash out of Life Grove.
