Your route is a little strange. The route Baby Sheegoth made is much faster. There is no point in picking up grapple beam. Take a look at my updated route it's the fastest without secret worlds. Also, I don't know what you mean with that early energy tank video.
Jagger ftw
Get life giver, then use the early energy tank for 30 second access to wild. Vault connect to elevator to magmoor which connects to wid.

EDIT:
Look at my edit above for a thing you've missed.
I went from Magmoor to Chozo to get Wild which is very fast and then right before ridley, I pick up Life Giver.
Jagger ftw
So you took the path where nature is?

But I still thinking since you are already at WORK STATION, might as well exit to tallon, life giver, use that early energy tank trick to vault then to wild.

But if you still wanna go from nature, atleast from spider go to phen shore line then to MONITOR station.
Yes, which is much faster than the other way which you need to go all the way past the Hive Mecha.
Jagger ftw
Nope, early energy tank doesn't take you to hive mecha.
It takes you to vault which then take you to the (elevator to magmoor) then directly to wild.
Except the door is locked from that side.
Jagger ftw
Darn your right.
Then atleast go from monitor station, faster travel from spider-> shore line->monitor than work station->monitor
...

What?
Jagger ftw
You just got spider right?
So go from spider->ruined court yard->phendrana shore line-> monitor station->nature.
instead of
spider->work station (opposite direction man)-> plasma room->bunch of other room->monitor station->nature.
Yeah, it's actually slightly faster to do that. Well, the route I posted earlier is the route i'll probably be using. SJF is the only thing I may change if I just can't get it. This isn't a professional speedrun, I just want to see what time people should be aiming for.
Jagger ftw
They would probably have to sub my time and my time marks.

I think I made it a bit faster, I put Lifegiver in seg 8 or so so you don't waste time going from tallon to chozo to tallon. It's probably faster by like, 10 seconds though. I'd like to point out this route wasn't just pulled out of the air, I basically rewrote the route guest posted and changed things up to (for the most part, lol) make it faster. Probably go over this route again, you'll likely have some WTF moments :P

EDIT: I made an SJF and an SJE run. Up to seg 7 is different.
Hey. have you guys tried doing a DSBJ OFF the Ship to get Space Jump Early? Its just a thought. I haven't tried it but if you guys could shed light on it it would be great.
Jagger ftw
Just get wild then Ice beam.
TBH Life giver from landing site is 40x seconds (Crazat's time), since you are gonna use the tallon elevator any ways, just pick up life giver there. No need to go through the chozo for life giver.
You can time this if you want ^^. Wild to life giver then to gathering hall vs (Tallon room with half pipe that leads to Space jump)-> life giver then back.
@Dread, we tried, there is also a vid.

That's how you do it. A normal DBJ but do a spring on the last bomb and it gets you that extra bit of height (trade the height off for distance) to make it. A perfectly normal dbj doesn't make it.

It saves time, you're going by that anyways, when you do it at the end of the run you're wasting time going tallon > chozo > tallon. Trust me. Also, it's only like a 10 second detour if you grab lifegiver during IB's segment.
You're not going by Life Giver. After Wild you would be going to Ice beam. If you got Life Giver after Wild you would have to go out of your way. If you pick up Life Giver at the end it only costs you like 15 secs of going out of your way and if you pick it up after wild, it's about 30 secs out of your way.

The route is very good except remove Ice spreader. It's not worth the time you have to go out of your way. Instead of just going up the Tallon elevator, you have to go through all of Fiery Shores and back, which probably ends up wasting time overall.

Also, for the early space jump route, picking up early space jump after bombs saves way more time because you can own flaahgra with the genius method.
Jagger ftw
Ice spreader is worth it, it allows for UBER fast metroid prime 1. Besides.. you are there any ways after strength.
Metroid Prime takes 8 "Stun" to end
If you have ice spreader, once he turns ice, you can always stun him twice, once when he is facing you, an other after he charges at you.
Take a look at the new route again because he picks up Strength after Nature instead of at the end.
Jagger ftw
Baby, plasma without grapple pl0x  grin new

With my route you go from wild, back down suntower > Vault > Main Plaza > Ruined Shrine > Lifegiver > Main Plaza > Ruined Nursery > Gathering hall > Ice Beam. So you would be. It should be faster...

It's about 30 seconds from the elevator > Ice Spreader > Back. IIRC, it saves 40 seconds in the last boss. So it'd still be worth it.

You can do your genius method w/o space jump anyways. It's only about 20 seconds slower even without the genius, and this method saves like >1 minute of backtracking.

Yes and that's going out of your way. Usually you would go the oppisite way out of Sunchamber and to Ice beam. The way your saying is going about 30 secs or more out of your way. If you come back at the end it only costs like 15 or so secs.

Climbing Arboretum without space jump is MUCH slower though.
Ah, true enough.

Climbing arbotetum isn't that much slower... maybe 4 seconds...
Okay, we need to time both SJE routes. So, one route is from Arboretum > SJE > Arboretum > Flaahgra > Monitor Station > Strength. The other route from Arboretum > Flaahgra > SJE > Monitor Station > Strength.
Just think about it. One trip, or two. Which one sounds faster?
