Since the Trilogy thread is getting very long and comprehensive with many other discussions, I'd like to make an own thread, where we only discuss the SJE / SJF.

To start this thread in a juicy way, I just made a new Video, of a method for the SJE, that might be a whole new possability (thanks to T3 at this point for this great idea).

At the peek of the whole jump, you just have to change the ball into a forward walking samus. I didn't try it yet, since I was totally stuned, how high I got, trying it only TWICE!!! After uploading this video for you I'm gonna knock it up another notch - BAM!  Very Happy

Oh, I forgot to tell you how this jump works:

Quote from T3:
Lay a bomb. As it explodes spring ball (flip wiimote). I suggest just practicing this until you get the hang of it. You'll know if you've done it correctly because you'll go higher than usual. This is pretty well what the bomb jump is except your doing it twice.

So from the starting, lay a bomb. As it explodes spring ball + lay another on the ground. At the peek of the jump lay your last bomb. You'll fall to the ground and this is when you spring ball right as the bomb on the groung explodes (to get as high like with the first bomb). If done correctly, you'll hit the bomb in the air and will have an extended double bomb jump.

EDIT:

Here another 2 attempts:

The "Flip Bomb Jump"-method (or does that jump already have a name?) from T3 becomes even more interesting now, since I've tried about only 10 min. or less and even got that close.

T3 said, that you have to start the whole jump from the tiny rock under the ledge (don't you mean that rock, T3?) - seems pretts hard though! But it would give us another hight-boost! Come on guys! :)

Here is another way of getting SJE, jumping from the left turbine of the ship (Baby Sheegoth did it that way):

Thread title:
Flip Bomb jump - DSBJ. Double Spring Bomb Jump. Good topic though.

Well good to see some attempts on this way. Remember, the bomb jump needs to be absolutely perfect. There's absolutely no room for error at all. Your bomb jump still isn't going as high as possible. Keep practicing the bomb jump because to make SJE it needs to be perfect. Remember to lay the last bomb earlier or you won't make it. Also, aim the bomb jump to the left of the ledge.

Jagger ftw
Combat Dash Method
I'll stick this in here.
Quote from Gu3st:

My mom took away my wii for the year (Because this is my last year in highschool), I'll just leave tips.

Be sure to twist the nunchuck towards the ledge, and start moving before you dash!
Aim the gun as far as to the left as possible (that way when you release the lock, samus will be facing the ship, and the back will be extended to the ledge), without going "yellow", this is also the reason why you need to know how and when to twist the nunchuck.

Set sensitive to advance, and lock on free aim on.
Here is the close attempt video again.

Skip to 2:25 if you don't wanna see the practice.
As you can hear, I pressed jump THEN moved to the right (I didn't move before the jump, I was standing still, and you heard two "tsx" at the beginning of the jump, one "tsx" is from pressing the jump button, the second is from the "dash" action), so when you guys are trying, be sure to move then dash.
Since you LOSE your dash speed as soon as you stop locking on, try to figure out how long does the dash last (you can practice this WITHOUT RELEASING THE LOCK), and then once you get the hang of it, you can try releasing the lock and turn, then finally rotate nunchuck.

You can compare the result with baby's video,
Regular combat dash

Here is an other video where I WOULD'VE gotten it (If only I was a bit more closer to the edge of the ship)

This isn't a possibility. This method works and i've done it a few times now.
I was going to point that out lol.
How long did it take you to pull off the back of ship method?
Probably about 6-8 hours? A while.
omg. Well then i'll probably just stick with my method which I can usually get in an hour or so. You said it came relatively quickly compared to the GC version. How long did it take you in that version then?
[noembed][url= took me a couple days to actually get in the GC version.[/url][/noembed]
I've never actually made it off the back of the ship in any version. I have made it when I had already collected space jump but that's only because of the extended unmorph. I consider myself a good bomb jumper but this is really hard.
It's very hard. If I could HBJ it would be super easy, though.
I thought you could. I watched your Phazon Core 21% video and you could HBJ fine.

Also, it doesn't make it easier because your unmorph doesn't move as far out. It's kinda hard to explain but in a dbj, your last bomb is propelling you forward and your unmorph helps a lot. In an hbj your last bomb will propel you straight up so your unmorph won't go as far. Atleast this is what i've noticed.

When i've used both for this particular bomb jump, the dbj gives better results.
My last HBJ is pretty horizontal. I've made it to SJE with an HBJ from the back of the ship, you've just got to hold forward while your last two bombs explode.
After watching the "attempts" vid, I imagined going off the small rock would be next to impossible.  It's not reeeal bad though.  If I was only a good bomb jumper..... lol  I too still haven't made it up off the ship either.  I want SJE damnit! lol

Oh, sorry! Didn't meant to question your method - just didn't know you already made it! Amazing. Did you jump off the rock or just from the ground?

Do you have a savegame to share? Man, that would be awesome!!! If not, is it possible for you, to do it another time?

Oh, and thx for the tips!
It was done quite a while back for the both of us, I played over the section where it'd be useful to have SJE (collected boost) and he erased his save to try again IIRC.
Shocked There are 3 people, who successfuly got the SJE in MPT and all 3 of them erased or overwrote the savegame...

...when you found time attempting for hours - even days - getting SJE, why couldn't you just take one more minute to backup the savefile? *cries*  aiwebs_016

You'r killing me! Wink

Baby, if I won't make it from the left turbine, do you think, you will ever do it again? I guess you will, even if I do make it - the question is "when", right?!  Very Happy

I did it off the rock and you won't even close close off the ground.

I do not have a gamesave atm. We'll just have to see if I can do it again.

I didn't erase my file, I simply just played through and finished the game.

It actually took me 10min the first time I pulled it off. Now it usually takes me like 1:30 or less. I didn't think of copying it to another file at the time.

Jagger ftw
I sticked my stuff here above.

I like the bombing from the ground method, but is it easy to fall slide off?
I like the dash method better because it lets you get Space Jump First.

You cannot make it from the ground. It is impossible. You need to use the rock or you will never make it. If you aim to the left of the ledge you won't slide back down. Also, you must use the dsbj.

How can you even say you like the method if you haven't even done it yet.

Anyway, I prefer my method off the the rock because it's the only method i've been able to get SJE with.
Jagger ftw
Isn't the rock connected to the ground  laugh new?
All the other two methods are on the ship.

Off the rock seems so hard, since the ball gets bashed away hardly, the moment it lands on the rock (which is necessary in the middle of the DSBJ). Is there a secret or a hint? Do you say its impossible from the ground arround the rock (you wrote: "you won't even close close off the ground" --- what do you mean?)?

It would be so great, if you could get it again! :) Do you plan to record it? I Mean, a recorded attempt would be good for now (starting possition, angle, camera-view, etc.).

Edit:

I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I FINALLY DID THE SJE ON MPT!!!!! Ihr könnt Euch nicht vorstellen wie glücklich ich gerade bin!

I don't know how i did it but what I can say is, that It's very important to drop the last bomb very far out (thats the toughest part of the whole thing, because you have to get back on the ship after droping the last bomb). Also I think I got an extra push doing a spring jump.

I guess I'm the first one who recorded it. :)

@Baby Sheegoth: thanks man!! Without you I would've thought that it's impossible after 3 hours of trying, but I believed you, kept going and vòilá.

Oh, and I accidentally erased the gamesave-file...

...muhahaha - just kidding. Who wants some juicy data?
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
woo congrats!

the trick doesn't look that hard on vid but that's usual for mp tricks.
