It's not a speedtrick. If you spent the time to get an early power bomb then you should use it to go into the mines backwards which is much, much faster.

It is a speedtrick. You grab Chozo and Xray and get them out of the way, then wallcrawl back and warp into HAT. It's much quicker if you're going to get Xray to do this than to walk all the way back to magmoor's Phazon mines spot.
Well good job anyway. I'm thinking of making an unofficial speed run of this game to see what times real speed runs might be aiming for. I'm not going to use secret worlds so the route is going to be a little weird but i'm planning it out right now. SJE might take months though...
You're going to have to pick up spiderball, which is going to slow shit down.
Yeah and the thought of having to pull off SJE within a minute...
I'd have to say try SJF. It speeds the run up so much. As long as you get it before 20 hours ;)
How much time do you think SJE saves? I want to know how long my attempts should be. I think it probably saves a good 5min or so which leaves me with trying to pull it off in only a couple of minutes.

This DOES NOT REQUIRE GRAVITY, so no climbing the crashed fridget.
This is the only way I can think of that gets pretty much every thing in 1 go without secret world, basically no going extremely far just to get 1 item (except early PB, but this can be done WAY FASTER than climbing the crashed fridget without gravity).
If this isn't the any % route, it should still be the ss route. unless some one can get SJF in 1 go.
SJE saves about... probably 6-7 minutes. Saves the trek from phendrana>tallon>phendrana which is QUITE long. SJF saves about 14 minutes because of hive mecha skip, beetle skip, main plaza speedtrick, arboretum speedtrick(quickly across), gathering hall speedtrick, quicker arboretum climb, genius flaahgra kill, monitor station quick climb, wave beam right away, ice beam quickly, then boost and then through pirate labs. It's a huge timesaver :P

haven't you read the rules? SWs are allowed in every category. dj's mp2 low% just happened to be the first run accepted using them but they're allowed for every category now.

I think monitor station -> (Via where nature is) wild would be faster. You can get life giver after ice beam, really shouldn't wast soo many time climb chozo ruin the front way. also, if you are gonna save in work station, still.. monitor station -> chozo via tallon would be faster than work station ->tallon->chozo.
Yes. It's much faster, even though it might not be much easier. It's only one trick, and it's fairly easy to pull off (and grapple takes FUCKING FOREVAR to get)

Get grapple after warrior, then chozo and x ray, then plasma then spirt. all fall in the same route.

Since you are coming out of lvl, set lvl 3's spinner in 10 seconds.
lvl 2 spinner in 20 second, lvl 1 spinner in 20 second. total is less than a min bro.
Very nice route. I would definately pick up World after X-ray and then head back down to the mines instead of picking it up at the end. Also, it's probably faster to go to Wild right after spider and pick up Lifegiver at the end. I'm going to change the route a bit and we'll see what I can come up with.

Keep in mind, this is a good SS route as well.
I forgot to mention that getting Sun with IS will save a lot of time. It may be very, very hard but it saves the treck though Phendrana at the end. Also, you mentioned Strength twice in the route.

This route is slightly better. I put World after X-ray, Wild right after spider so Life Giver right at the end and I got rid of the first Strength. I left IS out because in the route, it goes Wave>Boost and it would be impossible to get Sun without having Boost ball.
