That fight between Suyin and Kuvira, while very short, is easily one of the best I've seen in the whole show. Rest of the episode was great too but damn.
I feel it's safe to say Kuvira's gone full dark side with this one. She's fully embraced the Empire and that image now.
I knew she'd use the cannon on Baatar Jr. and the rest in the end when she was looking for their location. But a giant mech with an arm cannon? A bit overkill, don't you think?
Shift the ground while it's walking and it just goes splat and everyone gets to go home. Hell do that while it's standing you'd get the same result. Absurdly high center of gravity up in this bitch.
I dunno, I think that besides Unalaq Ozai is the least interesting villain of the series. Granted his final battle with Aang was still fantastic because the concept of ozai had been built up so well but I don't think he was ever a particularly good character.
You're probably right. He feels flat compared to all the other major characters on the show but for what his part is in the story it might have been for the best.
One of my friends vaguely mentioned in a Facebook post that Nick would feel the raging backlash of a thousand LoK fans after this episode so I went into it thinking for sure that a popular character like Toph would get killed.
