Oh wow, that soon? Awesome!

Re-introducing aribenders to the world is going to be quite interesting given where the series is currently.
red chamber dream
well shit, i'm finished the first ep of the two-parter and already the entire concept of this season has me absolutely fucking hooked. all of the plotlines seem like they could evolve throughout the season, and i really like some of the new stuff they're trying. really glad they decided to unite the human and spirit worlds, it seems to be giving them tons of great material. a must-watch.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
lol I forgot it was back already.
red chamber dream
i did too until tonight, there's 3 episodes out now
red chamber dream
they're finally going on a world-spanning adventure which is what i've been wanting the whole time <3
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Pretty much what everyone's been wanting this whole time. :v
red chamber dream

Are we taking bets on when they kill him off?
So... is anyone else having the same problem? My brother and I are a few episodes behind on Korra but our DVR never caught them since the show's no longer listed for it to record. Is it still playing at its normal time on Fridays?
red chamber dream
no, they're airing the rest of the season online

Seriously though how great has this season been so far? Although it's still not quite on that level it's definitely the first season of Korra that has come even close to being on par with the original series. The action sequence in the last episode is probably a top 5 candidate for either series. I really hope that they are going to carry on the same storyline for season 4 now and not rush to wrap it up by the end of this season as with the previous 2, the villains have been so good I don't want them to go yet.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Yeah I've really been enjoying this season. I think the fact that the villains are actually kind of fun in their own right helps a lot. Along with the bombin around the Earth Kingdom sense of adventure.
I like turtles.
Tenzin no.  :c

Yeah definitely. I think they had the potential for a great villain in Amon but he fell apart when they revealed his backstory, and Unalaq was just... well season 2 was frustrating in many ways even though it had some really great highs. This anti-Gaang though is so good, probably the best villains of either series aside from Azula and co.

You know, I'm sure that Tenzin will probably be left alive in some way or another, but I'll really admire the guts of the creators if they actually kill him of, as well as being depressed because Tenzin, and Simmons, are awesome.

My personal theory is that they wrote Book Two as quickly and lazily as possible because it was necessary to have certain changes to the status quo for the setup for Book Three.
red chamber dream
i disagree. season 2 had a lot of great episodes, it just wasn't as consistent as the show usually is. season 3 has been fucking awesome though
Almost happy
Yeah I agree about season 2. People demonize it more than I think it deserves. The first half of it was kind of so-so, more than anything I think it was hurt by the lack of studio Mir though it had some wonky writing too, but the second half was overall very good. The ending had its problems but it was explosive and entertaining. It's the probably the weakest season of the franchise, certainly the least consistent, but the good stuff was fantastic, better than season 1 for sure. Season 3 has pretty much been wall to wall amazing though. The last 4 or so episodes have all been absolutely fantastic.

Also I'm pretty sure, because of the time at which Nickelodeon renewed the series for a second, and then a third and fourth season, that they probably had as much if not more time to write season 2 than season 3 (IIRC season 2 was approved after 1 was mostly finished while 3/4 happened during season 1 was airing, though I might be completely wrong about that). I don't think the flaws that exists within that season occurred due to constraints of time.

i'm really glad nickelodeon decided to put the episodes online rather than airing them. they weren't doing well, i think because most of their audience was watching it online, torrenting or otherwise. plus the show is aimed at a different audience than basically everything else on the network and it just didn't fit.

here's hoping they get tons of viewers on their site—and they should because the streaming is fast and the quality is good. i'd love to see the writers get a chance to do another avatar in a couple years (maybe in the present day??)
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Didn't help that they threw this season out there entirely unannounced. Hrd to get people watching, especially in the summer, when nobody knew the show started up.
