1 pb = 1 missile iirc ... dawgs or k can probably confirm when he sees this.

how do I get the power bomb tank in the bottem left corner with speed booster?

I thought he meant in the restricted area in the bottom left of the main deck (between sector 6 and 1). In that case, you have the right sector you need to go through, but you need to go all the way through and back into the restricted area. Note only that metroid containment thing was dropped out, not the tube with the PB in it. You can either spark up the center or diagonally spark and space jump up to get it, then fall back down and go back through 6.

I need help. How many hits is it supposed to take to kill OM?

...swoosh included?
That, I think, is too difficult to tell. It all depends on the location you hit him. Since it's wave beam, the longer the beam is inside it's body, the more damage it'll do. Standing in certain spots will either allow the middle beam to pierce entirely through (most effective) or a few of the beams just tapping him and getting blocked by his invulnerable parts, or even a mixture of both.

But, if I rember correctly, he'll change colors from normal, to blue, to orange, and then die. (Which makes him walk backwards 3 times or something.)

So in theory, after obtaining the wave beam, the swoosh is actually LESS effective?
Well, the whoosh is gonna hit and do damage if you DO decide to charge. But charging your beam will waste time, when you could mash B and kill it before it can even attack you (since it's one of the only bosses that can be damaged without charged beams).
First charge counts :).

I'm too cautious though. I always run away after the first shot and come back with another charge and blast a few times, then run away again. :P

But when hitting it with the swoosh, will it do that much less damage with the rest of the beam? And if you shoot SA-X first form diagonally while crouching or something, will you hit it for more damage?

EDIT: I want some more help. Does anyone know if you can do the alternate secret message trick backwards to, say, get to the data room in AQA after getting ice missiles? Or is the door locked or something? If you can get there right after ice missiles, but can't do it backwards, then what about PAL?

You probably can't go there though, so I guess I may have just wasted my edit.
I tried it. I froze the thing, rolled through and found red doors on the other side.

could try googling for AR codes or something. Everyone else is too lazy to.
How did Sess kill the boss doors the instant they opened like that in his 1% run?  It would save me a lot of time if I knew how to kill him like Sess...  I waste a good minute to two minutes on those doors.  Not to mention energy.  Especially the Serris boss door.
have to arrive at the right time so that it opens on the first try, then shoot with a charged shot at point blank range.
Flare damage right? Works every time.

I just tend to time the jumps with the eye blasts. Besides, when you kill the eye, you get an energy refill, so it's all good.

btw Nate, thanks for changing my username. :P

I geussed about the flare part...  But what's this about arriving at the right time?  Any "sure-fire right time" to arrive at?  I'm not sure i grasp the concept...  :?

Ready and willing.
IIRC, there's absouletly no way to tell if you're at the right time or not. You're just screwed.
You could've asked Sess had he not died of cancer, but stuff happens.

I think he means that you have to hit it just as the eye opens. (when it's not charging a blast)

No, it still blocks then I believe. Yoshi's right. Nate just has a theory that the random factors in Fusion are based on the time or frame count. Since the frames are way too short for you to count as you play, you'll have to just call it luck.
I got it to work, people. I think you have to hit a point blank shot just as the eye opens fully (but doesn't charge a blast). Still unconfirmed though, can someone check it out?
The way it looked to me is this way (although I have yet to confirm it):

The sprite for the eye guy door was, what?  like six sprites between closed and open.  What it looked to me was it only charges the blast in the very last frame.  THerefore, if you fire while it's opening, you'll hit it.

Only came here and asked to confirm it, since I haven't been able to pull it off.  I went Googleing for sprite sheets of the door, but my search came up with nothing.

so you're saying one random factor suffered throughout the game is no longer randomly time consuming? O_O
C'mon people, all you have to do is shoot the eye at point blank with a charge shot. Tried (and now) confirmed.  :P
