Does it not work properly?

Hope so, because I freaking love the Spring Ball.

Is there a standard configuration for the controls that everyone uses?
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I don't think anyone really plays on emulator, so not that I know of.
I would probably try to set it up as closely to the GC controls as I can.
IIRC miles has done some practice on mp3 before, for skyway access SW <_<
That was with an actual Wii Remote.
Anyone know if Japanese MP3 would be any faster?  I'd likely be purchasing J (wii) NON TRILOGY and possible test stuff out on it.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I'm pretty sure that there are no J or U only tricks in this game, and afaik japanese text isn't faster. But if you're getting it, then maybe its worth timing the text?
I talked to paraxade and he says J has patched glitches and it'd be slower....not that bad i got U anyways

I'm having trouble with early seekers. concourse hates me. do i need to ship grapple the theronian containment unit first and use the other walkway or do i just suck? also i can't even get the bsj/sbsj to work
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
you can get early seekers before moving any of the bomb components. practice more.

Any chance i could get a screenshot of where the ball is supposed to be?

i took this pic from the video in the site. in that position, a SSJ was used and reached the window.

this one is tricky. i had to try it several times when i wanted to use it. the camera can be very bad here.

i... was doing ssj wrong. didn't know to pull back. didn't have to for sw2.

too bad a ghetto doesn't give quite enough height. good thing the ghetto from the bottom does.

thanks for your help!

edit: FINALLY MADE IT!!!
Now try the skyway access secret world, where you BSJ into a ghetto jump

my brain is bleeding just thinking about that
OK so the standard way of doing the Early Energy Tank in Tower (Ice Bryyo) doesn't work on PAL, but is it possible to get up the way you normally exit that tank from, using some kind of spring/bomb combo? I just wonder if it hasn't been looked at, or if it just isn't possible at all.
Yes, you can get it early in PAL by doing a similar BSJ into instant unmorph, through the exit of the tunnel (rather than the standable spot that metroid2002 mentions). But it's a lot harder.
Is there a good guide or video on how to wallcrawl? Even if it's based on MP1/2 if its sufficiently similar to MP3. I can get out of bounds in a couple of easier secret worlds (Metroid Creche, Zipline Station Charlie) So I'm just trying to learn how to navigate it. Also, has anyone managed to do the concourse ventilation secret world on PAL?
Wallcrawling basics are pretty much the same in all three primes.

Each room is surrounded by a box. outside the box is aether.

Whenever you're inside the box, physics are pretty much normal. However, when you're outside the box, you'll be in aether; when you're in aether, you can walk horizontally as if you're on ground, and you very very very slowly float upward. Furthermore, aether physics don't apply for morph ball (or screw attack, but that will almost definitely make you softlock so don't), which is useful if you need to fall a certain height then unmorph, or something like that (just make sure you DO unmorph or else you'll fall infinitely).

generally speaking, when you first get OoB, you're probably going to be on the bottom of the "box". You're technically below the bottom of the box, and you're floating up; mash the jump button until the game pops you up (because in aether, you float up slowly). Using this jump, you need to jump into the "side" of the box, and into aether.

From here on out, you can climb quickly via aether jumping. The idea is to walk out of the aether wall and into the box via its side, and press jump; you have a 3-frame window to do so the moment you walk out. I highly, highly recommend holding the L button the entire time (or in mp3's case, Z) so you have as much control as possible.

If you get the jump, space jump in place, then at the peak, pull back into the aether and you'll stick. Repeat.

If you miss the jump, pull back into the aether ASAP so you lose minimal height. In MP1, this is basically impossible since you lose all control of samus upon walking off of a ledge, which is why missing an aether jump basically means starting completely over. In MP2, you have full control of samus, so you can lose very very very little height if you react quickly enough. MP3 is kind of the middle, you're going to lose a good chunk of height even if you react quickly, but you generally won't fall all the way down.

When you're on top of a part of a room, you'll likely be on a sticky surface, and you're technically in the air. The best way to navigate this is to morph, plant a bomb, bomb jump then unmorph at the peak. However, mp3 has a stupid "one bomb in air rule" where you can only get hit by one bomb in the air, then no more until you land. So navigating sticky surfaces is terrible.

Primary ways to break back into bounds are:
1. Get into the aether of the room before the room loads, and let it load around you. Fastest.
2. Get on a sticky surface of a room that the game ISN'T transitioned on. Morph, bomb jump and stay morphed, then unmorph after you land on the sticky surface; you'll ceiling warp.
What is the 17% route?

Please no:
"Why"
"Please don't"
"Worst part about 17% is playing corruption"
etc.

Just need a pastebin or something.

It's literally natural route but skip all expansions except the first e-tank. Get grapple swing, then go to elysia and do the hell wallcrawls. Skip whatever is skipped. http://pastebin.com/BH7y00rV is just a list of items collected but the route should be really simple, basically wallcrawl everywhere in elysia.

Only thing I don't really know is skipping the command courtyard energy cell but I think it's using a SW in that same room?

Skipping 5 major items, a couple minor ones, taking unintended routes through several areas, and getting a couple things out of order is not really what I would call natural route, but okay.

Also I made a post on reddit a month ago that might be useful to you
That is perfect. Thank you!
Can someone explain spider skip in detail? I guess im stupid for not understanding "do the secret world and another wallcrawl"
You do this the first time you enter this room, and go back in-bounds the next room

You do this when you enter the mines:

There really shouldn't be anything difficult to understand since you're just wallcrawling past the two spots you need spider ball for :P

both of those SW entries look disgusting. have fun!
