I find myself unable to perform a BSJ D:.

I can get the instant unmorph without a problem but after that I can't jump. I seem to fall extremely fast as well, so I'm wondering if there is any timing in jumping after the unmorph that I should know about?

I've tried a lot of different timing combinations but nothing seems to work, so I must be doing something wrong.

If you're trying sbsj (with spring ball) I can get those pretty consistently. The jump button needs to be pressed *just* after the unmorph button. Like, almost at the same time. Make sure that right after the unmorph, you press forward and dont keep pulling backwards or you'll hit the wall and won't be able to space jump.

Thanks, I got it working, pressing the buttons at nearly the same time really helps. I was pressing the Z and then B after Z was released before.

Edit: And by Z I mean C.

I need help on hyper mode with the final bosses (I haven't even defeated DS). Any tips or vids?
This is what I basically started doing against them, and after that just keep moving:

kip's vids in http://www.metroid2002.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6454 really helped me, especially with learning the timing of when and how to dodge attacks. So far I haven't beaten them, but I have gotten to AU313 part 2. Before I couldn't beat Dark Samus.

P.S. When DS is healing with three clones, kill one then (as shown by kip). It stops her from doing the dance of doom (which I've found the screw attack isn't so helpful for...), and it gets rid of an easy target.
I'm able to screw attack just fine in order to avoid the clones. Sometimes I do hit them dead on and fall to the ground, but for the most part I can whiz right by them and they take some damage here and there as I pass over them.
*shrug* maybe I just suck at timing the screw attack to avoid them. At least kip's method works well enough. :)
I have a feeling it would work well as long as you can avoid them for long enough to kill one. But on low% runs you may not get much room for error before you are killed, and they could take a lot of time to kill one due to how much damage they take.

But go with whatever way works for you, I guess...

Doh: Just reread what you said about kip's strategy, and seeing as you'd be able to kill it without worrying about them attacking since they're all healing themselves, I guess that method IS better than mine.

Ok everyone... forget what I said and go with kip's idea! laugh new
I keep on hearing about the ability to have all the pickups marked on your map after visiting some location... where is this location and what exactly do I have to do? It will greatly help me achieve 100% :)

It's the Chozo Observatory on Elysia: Need to have the Spiderball for it to work. Check out the higher sections of the walls.
Unless I'm mistaken, you only need spiderball for Elysia's items and for some bonus information on Tallon IV and Aether, Norion's and Bryyo's can be access as soon as you have ship grapple to repair the observetory.

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention, Pirate Homeworld's item map requires the Nova Beam.
Aren't the clones moot?

I mean, you don't have energy tanks - just a phazon bar. Or does the amount of tanks you have equate to how much the bar can take?
Every Bit Counts
The more enrgy tanks you have the longer the bar is. Try doing a 1-tank game (or low%). You have a REALLY small bar.

Edit: Just beat Hyper Mode grin new . I was/am very happy.
Okay, so I'm on Phaaze right now and I'm playing on Hypermode. I can usually get to the Infant Leviathan with ease, but killing it seems impossible, let alone keeping myself alive. What's the trick to it?
Lust aim at the slow moving thing (X Ray Visor helps to distinguish it) when it isn't behind one of those vine things. Shouldn't more than 3 or 4 charged shots unless you're unlucky. Just be sure to stand on the platforms and not the very bottom of the room (since that hurts you). Spamming uncharged shots on the Phazon Metroids help too.
you may be firing from the wrong side. if you can't easily see it in normal visor, screw attack over to the other side and open fire at it from there. don't forget you'll have to tear off its casing on that side as well to hit it.

It seems like it takes longer to kill the Phazon Metroids by shooting them with uncharged shots instead of using a Hyper Missile. I'll probably check this out once I come back home from school.

Nate: Thanks for the tip, but I've already beaten normal mode so I already know about that... unless you mean to tell me that the vines can be SA'd through. :) Thanks anyways; I always appreciate tips.
I need help! I am having huge problems trying to get the energy cell in Skytown Ballista Storage. I know where I need to go, but I can't get there! It won't let me screw attack across the bridge that isn't there anymore. Is there some other way I can get there? Or do I just keep trying to screw attack over? Any help would be greatly appreciated :(

Edit: LOL nevermind...figured it out after numerous attempts...had to scan the cannon to be able to use it aiwebs_008 .

I'm in the Gel Pool (Just after getting the hyper grapple) and when I call my ship to lift the big object in the room, it does so and carries it away; Where do I drop it?

GRAGH!!! I spent two whole hours trying to fight Dark Samus and the AU on Hypermode and I died at the last part! Alright, the AU head spins around and I try aiming at its weak spot while it's spinning around with lasers but I can't aim at it were my life depended on it! What is the best strategy for this guy because I spent what felt like countless hours just to get to this boss and I'm not wasting my time again just to figure out what to do! Help!
At the part where he's spinning around, try screw attacking him ^_^

I think I tried to screw attack it once, but I couldn't reach it. What are the chances of me reaching AU 313 anyways? I don't want to waste my time finding out... I don't want to spend two more hours... I just want Hypermode over with.........

I suppose I should have picked up on that one, lol :) But I have less of a clue regarding this generator I just picked up in order to access the bridge room that connects the 2 non-fiery sections of bryyo. I don't remember seeing anything that would need this thing.
