Yeah, I just ran into similar problems a few minutes ago:
I managed to get AU 2 down to about 1/4 of it's health, but there are pretty much no refills during that segment, leaving us with no room for error. And I'm nowhere near that good at this battle yet to not screw something up along the way.

As for AU 1, I just spam the dash button whenever I see the Eye Laser coming at me. I can usually avoid it that way. And the only reason I can continue to survive is because of how long it takes to destroy it, which allows me to slowly regen off of the Dark Echoes that keep respawning.
Please I'm not trying to mini-mod or anything, but it's really anoying to read spoiler tags specially when you know they're not necesary, I know what your gonna say *but people who havn't got so far on the game will get spoiled* well if you read something about the final boss and your not there yet, then don't read the post, or as a suggestion maybe put a big

thing?
yikes ... i'm trying to get the bryyo hidden fuel cell pumping station energy cell 4 and i've picked up the generator thing with my ship ok, but it looks like the only way i can get to hidden court on foot is through machineworks bridge? the problem is that i can't actually travel through machineworks bridge atm because the other side's spinner isn't turned. coming from the other way it looks like i need pbombs (which i don't have yet) to destroy some rocks in front of the door to get into machineworks bridge. so am i supposed to get pbombs now or something? i need this energy cell to make it further into the wrecked ship (afaik). thanks.
It's weird because there AREN'T any powerbombs in this game. This is the first game besides Hunters that hasn't had them since Super introduced them. Same with Super Missiles now that I think about it. If I remember the part you're talking about, you need to find a different statue piece and place it in the background of that room in order to take out the rocks. (Involves the Ship Grapple, which you already have since you grabbed the genrerator.) There's a missile/ship missile locked in a force field in this same room, which also gets hit by the background statue at the same time. You need to look around for a statue that resembles a head. It's at a deadend nearby the room with the three golems in it if I remember. (And sorry if that's not very clear, but for some reason the enter button on the keyboard I'm using isn't working at the moment.)
ahhhhhhhhhhhh. so that's where the statue from hidden courtyard goes.

edit: wait, three golems? so the statue originally in hidden courtyard is useless?
If you want room names (from memory but it should be close..)
- The statue head is in Gel Fuel Pool
- Drop that head in Colossus Vista (room after Hall of 3 golems)
- Pick up generator (where you blew up Turret B)
- Drop generator at the other side of the Machineworks bridge in Hidden Courtyard

Hope this helps
thanks. that was it.

btw nice to see you around again. :)
I just came back from Bryyo Ice, and I got a message about Valhalla's coordinates. Should I be going to Valhalla this early?
Thanks Nate, it's good to be back ;) New Metroid games bring zell  back to the yard.

You could always go and see what it looks like, you won't be able to get very far though... You don't *have* to go until later in the game. Quite a bit later, actually.
Any tips against Mogenar on Hypermode difficulty? I can survive his attacks alright most of the time, but the problem is that he takes such a beating, It takes at least 3 hypermode uses to destroy just 1 slot. Is there a magical fast way of refilling that energy? Right now it takes me _forever_ to fill up,  and I sometimes lose concentration and take damage thus taking even longer.

I guess the trick is to hold fire until you get corrupted in order to get more phazon goodness in there. Still, though, it's almost impossible. Maybe I'll scour the areas for more pickups before retrying. If anyone is ever able to do a low% hypermode run, he/she really should get a medal. Shocked

Edir: Blech, I was so sure I had checked the topic before posting. This has been asked/answered here before. Oh well.
Its been touched on briefly already, but my question is more comprehensive and long :p:

I'm on the final planet with 8 energy tanks, and I'm starting to think that its impossible to do without collecting all the tanks.  There are two well-placed spots where that little floating blob replenishes all your energy, but I'm getting hung up on three spots before I even reach the hatchling.

1. That bouncing mouth thing that grabs you after falling down a chasm in morphball form takes away about 1/3 of your energy every time.  I've somehow avoided it once, out of about 12 tries.  I don't know how I did, but I just bounced away without going in his mouth.

Does anyone know exactly how to avoid it?

2.  The little purple dogs.  No matter how I approach it, it takes roughly 1/2-1/3 of my energy.  Hyper missiles work well, but they take too much energy to shoot. Is there a way that anyone has found to skip this, or make it more efficient?

3.  The big face thing that grabs you with the 5 eyes above its mouth that takes the remaining 1/3 of my energy.  This is another one that I've somehow managed to skip, though I have no idea how.

All told, I hit the bottom ready to head into the Leviathan larva area with my yellow bar within a sliver of flashing red, and sometimes already flashing, leaving almost no energy left to kill the metroids in the room, let alone the larva.

So, has anyone who has beaten MP3 on hyper mode figured out a way to avoid these pitfalls?  Or a better strategy overall?  I'm frustrated to high degree right now  Evil or Very Mad

Well, it's difficult, but not impossible as I found out:
Managed to get through Phaaze with only 7 Energy Tanks. The hardest part for me was getting past that 5 eyed creature. I had to literally spam the beam at him as fast as I possilby could, and just before he's about to take a bite out of you fire a Hyper Missile into him and that should just barely get you out of there. (He needs to be on his last "eye" for this to work.) It has to be done very quickly and unfortunately that's the only method I could find to even get to the Leviathan Infant with the little amount of remaining health at my disposal. Best I had was about 1/2 damage by the time I get to the Leviathan if I can avoid taking the bite.

After that the biggest obstacle was the Hoppers: The best way I could find to get through them was by firing a fully charged Hyper Beam at them. If I remember it takes them out in one volley even if they're in Hypermode themselves. Usually 2 or 3 Hyper Missiles max will take out the rest, or a combination of Missiles and Beams will do it. Only thing I can say is try to stay as far back in the room as possible so none spawn behind you. Again, just need to be lucky and avoid their attacks unfortunately.

As for the other creature, I found no way of avoiding that and taking that much damage before escaping: But I usually use the creature in the room above to steal away my corruption and I drop into there at full health so it doesn't hurt me as much.

Once you manage to get to the Infant, I found that 4 good volleys with the fully charged Hyper Beam should be enough to take it out if you hit it full on with the shots. Just avoid touching the floor inbetween the two sides of the Leviathan or else you'll be toast pretty quick.

And now that I think about it, try taking some time in the room before the Hoppers to collect some energy back from the Metroids and the plants. It's not very much, but could be the difference that gets you to the final bosses.

THEY, however... are another story completely if you're not prepared for a long battle with them. Take a look at the wiki for some tricks that myself and others have found against them, because you're DEFINITELY going to need everything you've got against them with only 8 Energy Tanks. (Well, if you're anything like I am in terms of skill that is.) The sad thing is, I only found out those tricks against Dark Samus because of how many times I played that final battle against her on Hypermode...

Sorry if everything in the way of you and the end doesn't sound very comforting, but it's more or less what I had to do in order to get through it all. It can be done, and that's the most important thing!
Pi-Face
In Phaaze, you can grapple the (Ing ripoffs, forgot their name) and pump out your phazon to lower your corruption level.

Approriately enough, they're "Phaz-Ing"s.
Yes! Thanks very much for the tips guys.

I was able to avoid
the trampoline-mouth-thing that ingests Samus in morphball-form at the bottom of the chasm by hugging the wall nearest the door as I fell, then pressing the analog stick towards the door after the first bounce.  I managed to bounce to safety the first time.  This saves a significant amount of energy.

I was not able to avoid the 5-eyed-snarltoothed-face thing again, though it proved unnecessary.

Grappling the 'phaze-ing' things after the purple dog area was a big help too and replenished a lot of my energy.  I made it to the Leviathan larva with 1/2 health which was more than enough!

Dark Samus wasn't too bad.  I found the best way to kill her was to be patient and kill the 'dark echo' forms and the Ice pillars to keep my energy up.  The hyper-missile strat from the wiki proved very helpful as well.  And speaking of the wiki, the SA into the Aurora Unit was brilliant, thanks for posting that!

What a great

I need help on Phazee with the final bosses in a low percent run. Any help?

Yeah, I already figured that out.
I'm sure there's a way past the 5 eyed thing, but right now there's nothing concrete. Going down the tunnel in morph ball automatcally unmorphs you so that doesn't work.
When I went thru the game on Veteran mode, I actually missed the 5-eyed thing 2 of the 3 times it took me to make it to Dark Samus.  On the 8-10 or so times thru on Hyper mode, it got me 100% of the time. :(

And Fano7, literally all you have to do is scroll up like 5 boxes and you'll see a decent rundown of Phaaze and final boss strategies, along with links to more in-depth strategies to the bosses.  geez  :P
I need help finding 1 Lore entry on Pirate Homeworld. I searched all over but I can't find the 2nd to last one (#11). Could someone post the name of it at least. Maybe someone remembers where a hard to spot one is?
Check the Friend Voucher/Token page of the Wiki: I listed every scan there and where you can find it. (The Lore Section is organized by # so it should make things easy:

http://www.metroid2002.com/prime3/index.php/Tokens_and_Friend_Vouchers#Pirate_Homeworld:_12

I know I'm missing one Pirate Scan to complete my Blue Token collection, and this one's probably it for me as well.
Thanks Prime Hunter. It was the Disaster at Elysia one, though I think the wiki could be better organized so it shows in the same order as in the game. The alphabetical order is nice, but for people who are looking for something they don't know the name of, it might be better to put it in chronological/discovery order. And the creature scans are in alphabetical order, but separated by location instead of origin. I would like to work on the wiki, but it won't take me to the create account page right now, so that's why I'm posting here. Anyone know if wiki accounts are not allowed to be created now or is the page just bad?

EDIT: I found the wiki thread and sent my pm to nate so disregard that last part, but what do you think about the ordered listing?
after i pick up the first bomb fragment,  and i go thru the shaft that drops me down and jump across the gap with the revolving door.  I'm outside trying to jump on the three platforms.  I CAN"T MAKE IT to the 3rd spinning one.  I can time it just fine but i dont seem to get that extra umph to make it up there.  any suggestions??
Tap your Screw Attacks slower so that you get more distance. Be sure to tap them at the mid point of the past SA.
Zelse speaks the truth. Don't tap jump super fast, you can only do 5 screw attacks so if you tap too quickly, you won't get enough distance. You can space them quite a bit, just like you can space "space jumps".

EDIT: If height is your problem, try doing 2 space jumps and start screwing at the top of your 2 jumps. Also time your last screw attack so that you're at the highest point when reaching the platform. But from what I remember, this jump wasn't really hard (it's almost level with the platform you jump from) so you shouldn't be having problem...
AHhhh awesome... i thought the faster you do em... blah blah.  anyways sorry if i posted out of a wrong topic.  i'm kinda new to the forum thing
