Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
There are definitely 10 after MB:

5 in the floor before the pink door, and 5 in the statue's hands straight after the door.

But if Missiles go to 235, that means that the completion rate would be 101%.  Can you confirm Tyjet?  I'll test when I return home today.

Samus...? Is that you?
Finally i DID it. 100% with 2:57. (Lots of savestates Rolling Eyes)
But i just saw it is possible to get 101%. Maybe i'll try it, maybe i don't.
It was a nice challenge to get 100%  Very Happy

Edit: Just realized i have the fastest time for 100% now grin new

Quietus, I attached a screenshot of 101%. :)
Side note, tyjet:  Was the line of speed-booster blocks that don't reveal with X-Ray intentional?  Because I really, really disliked that :X
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Yeah, I've got the 101%, but I meant that I wanted Tyjet to confirm whether this was intentional or whether he wants the max to be 100%, as in releasing another patch.

I want to know before I start my 100% run.

*Awaiting Instruction*
Tyjet: I tend to be less interested in 100% runs, since they remove most of the danger of gameplay in exchange for lots of route planning. The initial hunt can be fun, though (and 100% runs make for neat TASes because of the potential of damage boosting).

As for 18%, heck no. 22% was hard enough. :)

If someone were to do an any% TAS of this, I'd guess they'd get, oh, 00:18.

We shall see about that.

I did not intend to have it go up to 101%, there was two cases already with this happening that I found, I will try to fix it ASAP, sorry Telavangelist. Nice find though.

Can't say honestly. Lol.

EDIT: Televangelist, where did you collect an item twice? And if you didn't collect an item twice, I'll just remove the one in the chozo statue during the escape.

Honestly, I don't even know how that happened.

I figured out what I missed, it was a super missile in lower norfair.  So what did I do?  I did another run only to find that I missed a regular missile this time, so ANOTHER 99%.  I plan to do a sub 40 min 100% run as soon as I stop being a tard.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Tyjet, I'mfairly certain that it's this one that's causing the problem, as I get a suspicious feeling I've already collected this one too.

If not, I guess it's as good a place to start as any other.

Version 1.6 is out!
Changes:
-Fixed getting stuck in Wave beam room
-Possibly fixed 101%
-Few small tiling fixes
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I think the percentage is off, Tyjet.

Both me and Opium have completed a 100% run, so we knowthe locations of all of the items, but we seem to keep finishing with 99% after collecting everything now, with no repeats of items.

I just did this run:

I saved a state just before Tourian, and ran back to that Missile pack, and it had respawned, so I could have done 100%, but it would have been a bugged 100%.  I think the 101% runs were having collected that pack more than twice.

I'll try another run with v1.6.  aiwebs_011

FINALLY!!!

:38 100% !!

I don't think there was anything wrong with the item counter, I simply missed one on my previous attempt.

Wow Opium, that's same time I got for my first speedrun.  laugh new
Huh!

Quietus, I think you're right.  At that EXACT MISSILE, I had a bit of deja vu where I wondered, "Didn't I already pick that up?"

Also, Quietus, the speed booster blocks in Maridia when you shinespark up for that tricky powerbomb expansion... were they invisible to your X-ray, too?

I believe so, yes.  I stood on the right-hand end of the tube, and scanned the blocks.  I was lucky when I first found it, as I'd ran through the room to the lower right, and tried to jump onto the platform in the middle, but still had my charge, so I sparked. aiwebs_011
Also, whatever bug would cause an item reset might explain why parts of my map kept returning to blue eventually.

Mine did that in particular with the small Norfair section containing the Speed Booster and Varia.  Each time I went in, I'm sure it was back to blue / not showing.

Still love this hack, though. aiwebs_011

UPDATE:

I now officially announce that I have played this hack to death:

Thanks for the fun times, Tyjet! aiwebs_011

No problem dude, just watch out for future hacks from me (I'm undecided at the moment.)

:31 100% Wow, I wonder what the limit for speed would be?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I'm sure it's possible to get just under the 30 mark, as I had errors in that run, as well as some clumsy room negotiation in parts.  I think my route was very good, though, as there was next to no backtracking.  A handful of save states was used for bosses and tough (self-inflicted) tricks, but nothing major.

I am now at 99%.  One more.  Just one more...

Edit:  Found it.  I am actually on pace for 101% because I got the one twice.  I only had to look up a hint for one item --
The power bomb above the tube

I'll post a screenshot once I figure out how.  I've never got it to work right.

Just attach the picture to your post as normal, and then right-click the attachment, and select copy link location.  Then click 'Modify' on your post, and insert the img tags like so:
Code:
[img]Link-info-here[/img]

Then save your changes.  You could also put the images in spoiler tags to save space if you're posting more than one.  It'd then look like:
Code:
[spoiler][img]Link-info-here[/img][/spoiler]

I just beat ridley and I think I'm stuck. Here's a snapshot of where I'm stuck right now. I can't go back. I have no gravity suit nor grapple beam.

You can jump out at the right-hand end, right?

EDIT: Sorry - assumed you'd done the other bosses too, in which case you'd be done. Embarassed

If you haven't, then you're stuck.  How on earth did you get there with so little?  Unless you were trying to, in which case it's your fault, and Tyjet needn't fix it. Razz  Low percentage is never good on a first run, because of such problems.
