I finally picked this up, and it looks like some things were changed since I last seen the video. I'm not done with it yet... It looks like I'll need the grapple bean and Speed booster next. I like how some of the items are hidden.

@ Shadowsong. You pressed the screen capture key .08 seconds too late. Razz

I'm betting I'll finish it tomorrow.

In maridia there's a room that has a save station portal in it that doesn't work. There are speed blocks in that room that you need to bust through to get to xray.

This hack was freakin awesome. The open-endedness, the optional stuff, all done in a way that's not annoying or frusterating, but actually fun and satisfying. Darned genius. Awesome job, Tyjet.

I think I'm going to wait for the full thing, I hate cliffhangers. I just did a speed run of this. Got to MB's 2nd form, used a savestate, then she killed me with the rainbow beam. I forgot to get varia... I'll put off a speed run for now.

I did a quick run through after not playing Metroid for a few months. I got 0:31 with 39%. I ended up going the wrong way twice.

Tyjet! I'm really, really enjoying your hack. I beat it in about an hour with 66%, so I figured I'd go back and go for 100%.

Currently, all I'm lacking are ammunition and energy tanks, as well as Screw Attack, Spring Ball, and Grapple Beam. My problem is with the Ice Beam. I've found its location, obtained it and everything else in the room, now need to get out. However, I can't get back up because of one-way blocks.

I'm trying to avoid saying anything specific, since I don't really know how to use those spoiler blocks. Anyone? After you get the ice beam, how do you get out?

EDIT: I'm an idiot. And that was very, very cleverly designed.

Thank, I thought so too. If your going for 100% you should try for under 3 hours, get on teh highscores. Good luck on your item hunt, here is some hints for you:
Screw attack - Maridia
Spring ball - find an entrance to west Crateria
Grapple beam - check around Spring ball
Ammunition/E-tanks - I tried to give a hint for every item placement, if something looks out of place, bomb it.

Haha. I remember finding the spring ball and grapple beam on my escape, so I knew they were somewhere. As for Screw Attack... it seems obvious, now that I found it, where it would be. e.e All I'm missing are some various ammo things. I think I'm missing two missile tanks before I take on Mother Brain, and then I'll have everything.

Speed Booster is near Varia, go to west Brinstar and look around.

Can you tell me how to get to the Space Jump? I see it but I cannot reach it.

Edit: Just read a few pages back that I have to take a very hot bath to find GT and then SJ. So where do I have to take this bath?
