If you are able to lead a serious discussion you are able to tell me whit what you disagree.
Really, J_SNAKE, with all due respect, you and me... we're done. Or at the very least, I am. Seems to me it is the wisest course of action in this particular case.

You also said personal preference and quality cannot be judged separately. I say chess is not my preference but I can judge its qualities separately. I find it interesting. Where is the problem discussing interesting things instead quickly quote them from wiki or elsewhere.
Quote from TheGreenManalishi:
I've never asked why magical things happen in games created with the intention of providing a magical environment in which I can wreak whatever havoc I please without any repurcussions in reality. That goes for 2D, 3D, all kinds of D.

How I look at it with a SM-Prime comparison. SM looks more authentic or serious than Prime and still flying stones distract me less compared to Prime. In Prime when you see a flying stone and creature walking around it just doesnt feel the same.

Someone pinch me. I had a dream like this a while back in which I was stuck in a loop in time. Things just kept repeating and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. And they weren't particularly pleasant things.

Sounds like you just yearn for the old 2D days of Metroid.

I think you need to suspend your disbelief more, let Prime pull you in and immerse you.

I have it on good authority Prime does nasty things with you when he pulls you in. Like, touch you in naughty places.
One shall stand, one shall ball.

Another one, Boost Ball Guardian... anyone in here actually enjoy that boss?

Boost Guardian is the only potentially challenging boss in the game, and as a result is one of the two I liked from that game.

Also anyone who doesn't like MM is a jerk.
If you watch at my top 10 games thread. Pretty much of them are 3D.

We already established I'm a jerk. A fact I never purposely tried to hide from anyone, mind you.

They are not so pleasent because they are difficult. But that is what makes it interesting. I for example wouldnt say personal preference and quality-judgement belong to one and the same. I believe you can separate them, what teaches you alot about yourself.

Personal preference and quality should be judged separately.
Quality is in the eye of the beholder. As such, they cannot be judged separately. They are one and the same thing.

I find it a heavy and interesting statement. I think we can learn alot about ourselves by figuring out it has necessarily be true or not.

Even if we both stop visiting M2K2 at any given point, I think the interaction between you and me is going to go down into history as one of the most interesting in the history of M2K2. Honestly.
