I picked up a Zigzagoon on the first route just cause it has pickup... and is a great HM slave.

I decided to go with Chespin in the end and he's been working out pretty well for me so far. Boxed Torchic and Charmander for later since I plan on saving their mega stones for my veterans once we can move them over in December or whenever the Bank is released. You get the mega stone for the Kanto starters right when you pick them, by the way.
Has anybody seen anything new yet, or are the early routes filled with old Pokemon and ones they've already unveiled? I haven't seen anything other than the mid evolution in Talonflame's line so far. I'm sitting in the town past Route 5 and Lumiose City right now but I won't be able to play again for a few hours.

It's just that I'm wondering if all of the megas ended up lowering the number of new designs this time around since they still needed to spend time developing them. Given how much focus they put on them it wouldn't surprise me now that I think about it.
But so far I feel like I'm moving at the same pace as normal. Played for about 4 hours, my team is hitting the early 20s, and I think I'm at the 2nd gym. I've been blowing through the routes themselves fairly quick though.

Yeah see, you keep bringing up names that I don't recognize (Aegislash/Hawlucha) so I'm assuming there's still a good number of undiscovered Pokemon out there. When you made that comment about there only being 50 more I wasn't sure if you meant 50 total Kalos/Gen 6 ones or 50 beyond the ones they've announced already, which I'd be perfectly fine with. Because we've never had anything less than 100 new ones in a generation before as far as I know.
Of course all I'd have to do is go look at Serebii and see what their numbers suggest, since I know they've been posting a bunch of info and spoilers for the last few days now.
