Oh, I know what shine you are talking about. I'll have to figure out if its worth it or not.

This is the most difficult part, and the timing needs to be pixel perfect.

I wouldn't go for it.
Well I am, considering I'm will be saved right before it.
UPDATE:

BOX is done. The segment was sloppy, but I was tired of doing it over and over again.

What is your sub time is before Mega-X?
And skip you save before sector 6?

I see you skip save when i check first page. How you mean sloppy?
My save time is 0:18. Wassup dawg's time was 0:19.

By sloppy I mean that I made a bunch of little mistakes, like jumping while on the save platform. :/
It's perfectly normal to have it a bit sloppy after a million tries and being exhausted, but I hope not every segment will be sloppy. :P

Yeah what times are you getting?
My past posts in this topic should say the times I've been getting.
Yeah you posted that just when I was writing mine = I didn't see your post soon enough sorry. Nice to hear you've made progress, can't wait to see your run.
UPDATE:

Mega-X is done. I got two double shots, and I feel that this segment at least somewhat makes up for the last one. Saved in sector 5 before security door unlock at 0:21.

This sounds like totally nice. Wassup have 21 in entrance. I have 22 pretty low in S-5 Entrance.

Next you need perform difficult shine spark and get ice missiles. This must be hard segment. But it is cool see that.

What do you think can you get very high 22 minutes end of sector 5?
Wassup have low 24 minutes here. I have 24 minutes as well but my time was very high.

I've made a big change of plans. Because this not only my first fusion speedrun but my first recorded speedrun ever, the quality of the run isn't that great. By quality, I mean the run itself and my efficiency of recording it. So, I'm going to finish this run without recording it as like a test run, and then redo the run and make it better. I've already made a bad choice in planning the run, so I'd like to run through it once to be safe and to determine the best places to save, etc. I feel that it would be better to release one very well made run than to release this crappy one and redo it later. Sorry if I disappoint anyone.

Also, I'm saved before sector 3 meltdown with 0:23 on the clock. I'll continue to update my times up to my ending time. I should get this done fairly quickly because winter break just started for me.

And also, I'm going to include audio commentary with the new run when I'm done.
Awww.... :(

Well if it gets done I can wait, it was too good to be true anyway that the run would proceed this fast. Also I think the audio commentary is a good idea.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
at least the test run will make it less likely to get a dumb mistake in the final run.

also, i look forward to the audio commentary. i wish more runs had it.
UPDATE:

Saved after meltdown at 0:26. I now notice that the middle parts of wassup dawgs' run were done quite well. Not only that, but there's a lack of core-x's that I can double shoot. Most of the time saved in this run is going to be at the beginning and at the end.
UPDATE:

Segment 1 of my new run is done. This one is much better, with only two minor mistakes. I'm still doing my test run; all I have to do is keep my test run farther ahead than my new run.
YAY!
Can't wait to see it. :-D Nice that your new run is already being made. (new new run)
Speedrunner
You start going all segments over again. aiwebs_016

What happen you previous run? There you have minutes ahead WR run. This is nice hear you try more faster run. This must be see someday in near future. Good luck.
Read my post later up the page.

I wish all my updates weren't double posts, but...

UPDATE:

Worked some more on it, got segment 2 done. Only about 2 mistakes in this one. The eye door shot me twice, but I got a double shot on the eye core-x (so it was only 3 rounds).

Oh you actually got it? Nice.
UPDATE:

Got segment 3 done and saved at :09. Next segment will take many tries to get perfect.

Also, my dvd recorder is being retarded, so I hope it keeps working.

UPDATE:

Sorry for the long wait, but I was waiting for nate to save segment 3 from a corrupted disk. Segment four is done, and again I settled for 4 wasted jumps from zazabi. But this time, the eyedoor and core-x couldn't have been better.
Oh yeah, the run is coming.  extra_smug
