You're forgetting that this really isn't an unassisted speedrun, BioSpark is really a machine.

UPDATE

A much underestimated segment is now over. Yakuza should be easy compared to the long ordeal I just went through. Saved at the ship at 0:30. This is probably the last time I'll post my time so that I keep it secret. :o

UPDATE

Two in one day! Yakuza did end up being easy. I had gotten a 3 round core-x fight, but I messed up the segment. This one has a 4 round fight but not really any mistakes afterwards. Only 5 more to go!

I'm praticing up nettori, and it should be awesome. The only thing I'm not sure about is the next few segments after nettori. I'm not completely sure where I want to save. Each save has its advantages and disadvantages, so I'll be testing this to make sure. I'm pretty sure I want to stick with the current plan because the save is on the path, but I'd have to go out of my way for ridley. Suggestions are welcome.

Edit: I'm going to write this out to see if it helps me.

Guaranteed Saves:
- end of sector 4/before nightmare
- main deck/before sa-x

Possible saves in between:

after nightmare/beginning of sector 4
Pros: can make a perfect sector 4
Cons: may not be needed if save takes longer than any mistakes made

end of sector 4/before sector 6
Pros: is on the route
Cons: mistakes might be made on the way there, may mess up which saves are used later

before box ii
Pros: can get a fast box fight and probably include ridley
Cons: is quite out of the way, won't be able to use shinespark up

after box/restricted lab
Pros: good location (on the path, ideal for the ridley segment)
Cons: speedbooster is started later than if this were skipped

before ridley
Pros: can get a perfect ridley fight
Cons: is way out of the path

I'd like there to be 2 or 3 segments with all of them being good length. The one I like best is the save in restricted lab.

Sorry guys, another change of plans, though some of you may actually be happy with this one.

I tried an any% SS tonight for the heck of it, and I guess I was surprised by the results.

I'm going to submit this to SDA for a few reasons. First of all, I've really wanted to contribute something to there in a long time, so I can finally do this. Secondly, with the way the any% segmented was going, I wasn't going to be able to achieve :47. So, I plan to come back to the any% segmented much later and get a time of :47. For now, all you can do is wait for me to make audio commentary for this and for it to appear on SDA!
