I was also suggesting doing something along those lines.
Given that you have a ceiling for bombs, I highly doubt that's possible.  It could be, but there's still the invisible walls to deal with.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Yes, the ceiling is part of the trick, and would be abused in that type of trick.  I found that you couldn't float permanently, and after so many bombs at the 'top' you'd fall back down, so I'm not sure if it'd work.
ANKOKU
I don't believe that the refresh rate of MOM's bombs allows that type of traversal.
I was reading through the Prima guide tonight, and a particular section caught my eye (and put a little tear in it, too).  Read the last sentence in the paragraph.

Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Anything in a Prima guide should be taken with a grain of shit. However they're most likely right in this case.

i am almost sure they don't count bugs, SWs and other shit on their statements...
Of course not. It was just a harsh and painful sentence for some of us to accept. It kinda jumped out at me.

So you're saying that it pierced your heart?

It seems like you can sort of move your Skyward Shinespark a tiny bit.  I doubt anything will come of it, but I'm just putting it out there.
If Prima is saying there aren't sequence breaks, then there must be sequence breaks in this game!
I like turtles.
Confession time: because Prima's staff resents never having had the skill to sequence break in the early 2D games, there's no question that they see this game as the pinnacle of the series.

tutle, even i who never did a speed-run have SB on Super metroid...

in fact, is kinda hard not sequence break on Super...

heck, i don't think there is even a "default path" on the game.
Acclaimed Threshold

I'm disappointed in anyone over the age of 12 who paid money for Prima's shit guides.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
Fusion doesn't have any real SBs and it is still a good game.
i would bet we'll find at least 1 SB in this game. 3D games are more prone to glitches after all.

I don't really buy them to 'guide' me, more out of fanaticism/collecting than anything.  I do read them and sometimes find something out that I didn't know.
Plenty of guides, even Prima's, have at least a few useful, correct notes that are nice to have in a physical form.

Exactly. I'm the same way for the Metroid series especially. There are a few other games that I like to have the guides for anyway, but it's mostly only for Metroid where I'll buy them without question.

the only guides i've liked are nintendo power's -- i loved those mainly for the artwork and still have a bunch for my n64 games. don't think np makes guides anymore though unfortunately.
I didn't buy guides for MP3/T/Other M.  I sorta wish I did though.  Although I didn't get the NP guide for MP1/Fusion since Prima had a double guide, which was cool.
I have some rare expensive guides, but as far as how awesome the guide is, this one has to be it:

I don't even remember that one. I've got that Prime/Fusion bundle one KingBroly just mentioned.

A lot of my guides are actually Primas, and I never found them to be as bad as others have mentioned. Maybe I just don't know any better, or else the reasons I have these guides make them useful for me.
I have the double prime/fusion guide as well.  If you ever see the above pictured guide then by all means, get it.  It's twice as thick as most other guides and absolutely full of detailed text and amazing artwork.
I have the Echoes guide. I remember getting it with the game. I ended up leaving the game at my uncles in PA and only brought the guide home wSad I had to wait a whole week to get it.
I have an echoes guide, too.  I think there's only one guide for Echoes because it's the only one I have ever seen.  It's surprisingly thin considering that Echoes is a bigger game than Prime.  It's as if they knew that the game wouldn't be as popular as Prime1.
lol no way
Yeah I've got Nintendo Power's guides for Echoes, Fusion and 2 for MZM, but that's all... also obviously not because I ever used them, just because reading them can be fun and the artwork is great. I've never really liked to get other brands of guides, for some reason.
