Hmm. Feel free to use this if you want and think it's doable.

You know those a plants in Brinstar? Like some of the flowers...? You could have some enemies appear as those things, then after you get so close they try to attack you.

I'm talking about camouflaged enemies.

It's just a thought. Confused

Well, there are those polyps, which look like flowers, but just as you get to them, stones fly out at you.

I know what you're talking about but that sort of thing would require me to recode existing enemies or make new ones from scratch. Only Jathys has made any new enemies and it's taking a long time per enemy to do so. So as much as I like the idea, I don't see it happening because of my inability to code and just how tough it would likely be.

but then, I realized, oh wait! he clicked the red and green color bars a few times!

More changes are needed, IMO. It barely looks changed.

I'm not aiming for large recolors, I'm just trying to make the game less desaturated. As for the sidehopper, true I moved the sliders not too much, but it's enough for a visible change. I'm not aiming for leaps and bounds with every enemy. some are completely changed (KiHunter/Space Pirates) and some are minorly changed (Kago/Sidehopper)

Also, the Layer 3 is turned off because I wanted to show the Sidehopper without the rain FX1 in the room appearing.

I'd suggest avoiding stalagmites / stalactites at the end of platforms, as it looks odd. Also, the Geemer appears to not be attached to anything, unless you only have BTS on the upper half of the stalactite?

The Nova is pretty much just turning onto the stalactite. Since there's no diagonal frame for it, the game just immediately switches to the upside down frame. Guess I took the picture as he was changing from a wall surface to a ceiling surface. As for the stalagmites on the edges, I needed them there to mark the elevator.

Crys: I told you, I'm using the blue palette somewhere else! Wink

I am about to make a point to Bloodsonic. Hopefully this will quell any doubts that he has that the current Gravity Suit is "pink" and not purple.

The left image is the PURPLE Gravity Suit, the real one in the hack. The right image is a PINK Gravity Suit that I created to prove this point.

Eh, I'm kind of sensitive about the amount of purple in Gravity Suits, too. Super Metroid's original suit is too pink, at least in my opinion.

I can see the difference in yours, though. I personally prefer a deeper purple, but I'm not complaining. Looks great!

I'm not aiming for a dark purple gravity suit though, I just wanted to make it less pink than the original's palette. In my eyes, what I've created is purple/lavender (for the brighter purples). I can see pink at all in it, just light purple.

The screenshot on the left is nowhere near Pink. I think some of you people may be colour blind of you think it is. It looks more like Orchid or possibly violet. If someone actually felt that the original Gravity Suit was "too pink" I'd suggest having your eyes examined, no offense.

Technically speaking, Pink is derived from a high level of red with blue and green at a near equal level somewhere below what the red is set to.

That will most assuredly get you a pink. However, I'd wager that FirePhoenix's current Gravity Suit is probably closer to this.

Either way, it's by far nowhere near the colour values of the suit on the right and is much more similar to the original Gravity Suit but with a lighter shade of purple. You can say what you want to but..
