True. It still sounds ridiculous on its face however. And simply put I like mental images like that.
Oopsie, Yoshi! Page broken again!

But anyway, what do you mean by "our" Metroid Prime? SBing? The sheer quality of it, which Retro certainly weren't expecting? Just want to clarify for n00bs like myself.

I can believe it.  I mean, Retro already did the impossible with Metroid Prime.

indeed. however, i don't think metroid prime was on purpose.

I think you're understating how great the game is without the sequence breaking there; Tallon IV took my breath away long before I even knew what a dash jump was.
was not the case for me. although i thought it was a great game, make no mistake -- this community came to exist because of our metroid prime.
Hey... has anybody else seen this bit of info before?

Quote from Nintendo Wii Site:
If you think you knew what it felt like to be the bounty hunter behind the visor, think again. The Galactic Federation’s network computer, Aurora Unit, is suddenly and completely corrupted with something like a virus. The Federation believes Space Pirates may be behind the problem and are soon attacked. Samus and other hunters leap to their defense only to find that the enemy they face is Dark Samus, armed with immense power that no one can withstand.

This is the first time I've ever heard of the Aurora Unit. What about you guys?
red chamber dream
Sounds like another unnecessary plot device, similar to the more involved inclusion of the Federation in Fusion and Echoes.

Nah, it just sounds like the jumping off point to get Samus involved. Or the virtual equivalent of Phazon.
everybody knows it's true
I find it as much important as the Space Pirate frigate. (Orpheon?)
Quote from PiccoloCube:
according to some interviews, Retro came up with the idea of the nunchuck side of the controller. the japanese dudes at Nintendo only made the basic remote at first.

sounds incredible huh? (i almost didn't believe it when i first read it)

I was wondering if you happened to have a link to any of those interviews?  I think this is a neat bit of information, but I'm wary to spread it without being able to point people to a source.

Unrelated,  I noticed something I hadn't seen mentioned while re-watching some of the MP3 videos.  The "boss" that confronts Samus at the end of the space station level is the same one fighting the other hunter in the video where you see the two of them bust through a wall in front of Samus.  Judging by Samus' health, these two events look to have happened pretty close in time.
