...and the fact that supposedly a lot of people thought Prime and Echoes were very difficult? And that it looks like they are going to make Corruption a little easier than those two to accomidate this fact?

Not that the Metroid series has been overly difficult before, but it's still not something I like to hear.

probably it just means they'll have difficulty settings they spent more than two minutes on.
That probably means we'll get normal, hard and very hard, as in, easy, normal, still not too hard.
True: There always is hard mode if the normal playthrough is somewhat easier compared to Prime and Echoes.

Heh, as far as the WiiConnect24 is concerned, everything I've heard seems like Nintendo and friends have no freaking clue what they're going to use it for yet, other than that it's gotta be worth something.

new weapons or items :O

It's a business model that's worked for them so far.

The text recognition thing in Brain Age? They developed it pretty much first thing with the DS, and were waiting around for something that could use it.
Something that might be of interest: http://consoles.gwn.com/articles/article.php/id/719/

I haven't had a chance to watch the video myself yet, but there are links to videos of different Wii games (including MP3), but not of the game itself, but rather showing people playing the games, so you can get an idea of what it will look like when you're playing the game.
Anywhere, everywhere
Dun dun dunnnnn..... multiplayer
everybody knows it's true
Magazine speaking by itself, shown in the last paragraph.

Many fans of the series were disappointed that Corruption would not take advantage of the Wii's online capabilities, but now there seems to be a hint of not only obtaining new weapons or levels via WiiConnect24 but also the multiplayer mode. Who knows? Only Retro.

so they want to pull a Half-Life 2 with mp3?

Hopefully not. I think multiplayer Metroid on the DS is a great idea (another, better Hunters would be great), but it would be rather dumb imo to give a console Metroid an extensive multiplayer. I'm thinking this could end up like Echoes's multiplayer, which I guess would be fine. It's not Halo, and it's not an FPS, Retro.
Reading the first page in this topic to find out if we gamers can play Corruption using the regular Wii controller was somewhat confusing for me because I have no clue whether the Wii nunchuck or the Wii nunchuck controller is the regular controller. By regular controller, I mean the one similar to the Gamecube controller. Not being entirely lazy, I googled the abovementioned controllers and obviously none of them were the regular controller. So whats the name of the regular controller and I hope we can use/buy it at launch.
If you're referring to the controller that is more like a standard console controller, I belive it's called the Classic Controller. Corruption is going to use the remote and nunchuk.

The ONLY game so far that's been revealed that's going to use that (besides the Virtual Console, of course) is SSB:B.

Well, actually they said it would use the GC controller (which is an option), but it's quite possible the Classic Controller can be used too. (Although they put the damn left stick in the damn Dualshock position...)

I like the location of the two control sticks on the PS2 controller.  The offset sticks on the Xbox and Gamecube bother me.  For some reason I prefer my thumbs to be level with eachother when I play FPS.

Now, as for the ability to use the grapple beam to grab items.  Ok, that's cool and all, but did they implement that feature just because of the Wiimote?  Or was that thought of well before they knew what kind of controller the Wii would have?

I don't like it when devs add gimmicks just to make a particular feature seem better than it is.  Now I'm reserving judgment on the Wii controller until I get my hands on it, but it just seems to me that the new ability for the grapple beam was just an add-on gimmick to get more use out of the tilt function.  And if so, that's lame.
lol no way
I thought like... Retro was the part of nintendo that thought a new controller would be cool. Like, they thought nintendo should make a new controller.
So uh.
Not really gimmicky, is it?

I'm not sure, aj... I mean they might have agreed that it was cool, but for a single first-party company that only handled two games, both of which are only popular outside of Japan, to be the impetuous for a radical controller design?
lol no way
I dunno, I thought I read an Iwata interview somewhere.

according to some interviews, Retro came up with the idea of the nunchuck side of the controller. the japanese dudes at Nintendo only made the basic remote at first.

sounds incredible huh? (i almost didn't believe it when i first read it)

Oh just the nunchuck I can believe.

I certainly believe it. Retro is a very innovative company with really great ideas ... they just haven't been put to good use for a while.
Look, witty text!
I can believe it.  I mean, Retro already did the impossible with Metroid Prime.

indeed. however, i don't think metroid prime was on purpose.

That sounds so silly phrased like that. Like, oops! We accidently made a video game. I guess we should like market it and stuff now... maybe we should use contraceptives in the future.
you know that when i say "metroid prime" i mean our metroid prime.
