One shall stand, one shall ball.

speaking of which ... who else is looking forward to red dead redemption?

I mostly want it to be good because the old west is criminally underrepresented in video games. How we managed to come so far with out a million games about being a bad ass gunslinger fightin' injuns and mexicans and the odd outlaw gang baffles me. It's pretty much the best setting for everything.
I hear Gun.Smoke is a pretty good Wild West game.

Except they only have a little over two months left to finish the game.

two months is a long time lol. some games have only one-year or six-month development cycles, after all. production likely only takes up the last few weeks or month.

Yeah true, a lot can happen in the span of two months during crunch time for game development. (And I should know that based on the experiences I had during my college career.) All I'm saying is that I don't expect the art to be too much different at this point, even with two months left. You can only change things so much before you have to make a decision on what you're going to end up with, and a good portion of the final stages is typically setup for beta testing and correcting errors/balance issues based on what I ended up doing in my final college classes. Again though, no way to tell how much time Nintendo is going to devote to that and how much is left to change things on a semi-drastic scale.

Anyway, I still don't have a problem with how the in-game models look. They're not Prime quality, I'll admit, but they aren't terrible either.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Gun was a half-decient precursor to RDR. Not nearly enough content to justify being a 'sandbox' game though.

prime hunter: more what i'm saying is that the graphics only look really shitty because they're shit quality screenshots from magazines and whatnot. those never look good.
I wonder why short-haired Samus wasn't in this trailer. Maybe we don't get to play as that one.

Ah, right. Heard you say that a few times now and for some reason I kept thinking you meant the final versions of them. But yeah, they'll certainly look better once we're all playing the games on our systems/TVs, since that's the media it's designed for.
ANKOKU
The graphics remind me of RE4, so as long as I can get used to the arm cannon I'll think it looks fine.
I'll make the judgment call on the graphics once I'm playing it on my TV with my 480p component cables.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
don't bring reason into this.
Yeah, upcoming video game discussions are all about bitching about the beta graphics and figuring out how shitty the game will be before ever playing it.

one of the main reasons I don't have a wii is because of the fact I can't plug it into my HDMI port on my monitor like I can with a 360 or PS3. Instead I have to hook it up to a VGA converter and plug it into my old CRT monitor, with the crappy component cable resolution.
^We already know that Nintendo almost forgoted hardcore gamers with the wii, but we have to deal with it (almost 4 years have passed since then). Even if the Wii is -almost- a big pile of shit, it has some good things.
