These days I rarely take comments on sites like Youtube or GameFaqs very seriously because it seems like they have a higher percentage of opinions that are on the extremes than other places I go to. Either that, or you get somebody trying to share their honest opinion for something, good or bad, and the majority of other people jump down their throats and try to force the "popular" opinion on everyone.
But as far as Corruption goes, I think tomatobob is right because that's probably a good part of why I like Rundas over the others. He gets more screen time, which gave Retro more time to develop his personality than they did with Ghor and Gandrayda. That said, he doesn't get much in that department because he's killed off so early in the game, but at least of the three of them he seemed to me like the only one with any real level of respect for Samus, at least the first time I played the game. Never really liked Ghor for one reason or another, and as far as Gandrayda goes as a character I don't like her much either.
But she wins hands down as a boss fight for being one of the best in the game since she completely flips the previous boss encounters on their heads for being so different. Plus the fact that, without the Screw Attack trick, she can be difficult at times depending on what type of run you're doing, but not in a way that makes you frustrated like Mogenar does.
