Err, there's a bit of a problem with the whole Mother Brain thing...  Wasn't Samus raised by the Chozo on Zebes?  You know, when they picked her up about twenty years prior?  Not to mention the manga-thinger that was made showed Mother Brain existed on the planet (and most likely had existed there) at that time...

Huh?

I wanted to say: “Sorry to intervene but”.

Ah, you meant encroach, not encrust, heh.
I believe there are some minor new scenes in this clip:

omg plotholes ahoy!
Armor Guardian
Maybe the Federation stole the Mother Brain technology from the Chozo and took the credit.
The new videos are up:

The Assault one is another gameplay clip, showing what looks to be a space pirate crusier bombarding the planet Samus is on. She gets attacked by more pirates here, and it seems that they can get armor upgrades at one point. It gets blown off by Samus and the pirate then looks like the other ones we've seen already.

The other is about the PED Suit.
Apparently, it's stolen Space Pirate technology that the Federation has acquired and begun testing with a group of marines in the Norion region. From what I could tell, the marines can enter Hyper Mode as well, and look like the same exact equipment that Samus gets later on with her own PED Suit.

I only managed to get about 1/2 way into each of these videos however before I was hit with the buffering lag. (Two computers in my house were playing an MMO at the time, and probably due to the demand from other Metroid fans across the US.) So I haven't seen the full version of each yet and my information may be off. I'm waiting until later when things have died down to try again, unless I can find them online shortly.
NIce videos!

The assault vid shows samus blasting the space pirates sorry asses with the phazon beam at the end when I presume she enters hyper mode.
Revised video release guess:  Mondays and Thursdays by 9pm EST/6pm PST.  This makes a total of 10.

In Air Assault, the E3 presenter's words are shown to be valid.
You inject an energy tank into the PED suit to go into hyper mode.  See the text at the top of the visor when it happens.  Low % runs shall be interesting.  Might we be able to skip all energy tanks or will we need one to avoid Phazon overload?
Valhalla and Bowling come up Monday.  Could this bowling be like "Chozo Bowling," Prime's Hall of the Elders?
Bananas GOOD, Kremlings BAD
Just saw the latest videos.  I believe the lag is because of everyone ELSE who's watching them...

As for low% runs, I speculate there may be battles where it's "mandatory" to go into hyper mode.  Of course it's also possible that some enemies just have a lot of health and you'd need good skill and endurance to avoid using hyper mode.

Either way, the game seems to have more depth than before and I (of course) am looking forward...
GAH WHERE'S THE YOUTUBED VERSIONS

TADA!
YOU ARE MY SAVIOR
YOU ARE VERY WELCOME
Now, to the video speculation.

...the pirate battle thing was kind of useless, it didn't show anything new... although, the music is catchy and that's one badass space pirate cruiser thing. The Federation Phazon thing was pretty cool, though- lends itself to some interesting plot twists. The elite troopers, in all likelihood, will become corrupted and you'll have to fight them. Could make for some intense minibosses- I kind of hope they don't make another Chozo Ghost system using the Elites.

UPDATED

Metroids!!!! WOO! That Valhalla one was pretty interesting. "Their motivations are now clear..." Then it shows the aurora missing and the metroid attack!

The other one shows some morph ball shennanigans.
The Valhalla one was cool because it showed Metroids, which we haven't seen a lot of thus far. The bowling one was cool because it showed off a more organic world with more of a Metroid feel, which alleviates some of my worries. Good updates.

You're pretty damn quick with those youtube links though.

Ah, much better.

That Vahalla video was SUPER badass. I'm impressed... once again, though, the second video seems a little useless.
I've added all of the GameTrailer versions of the videos to the first post for convenience.

Oh noes!  Space Pirates have killed 2 artists, an audio lead, and even the senior producer. :(  (Look at the names of the GF Troopers.)  I wonder if all of Retro's employees are similarly honored in the game.

At the end of the Valhalla video, they seemed to come in all sorts of shapes.  Can't wait to see one in color!

i wonder if a marine will carry the "Zoid" nickname...
Who bets that Samus ends up on the Valhalla at one point later on in the game? grin new

It finally looks like the Pirates and the Metroids are getting the attention they deserve: The pirates are supposed to be a huge adversary against the Federation, and until now we haven't seen it much. And we all know that the Metroids have taken a back seat to the pirates, Phazon, and Dark Samus in the Prime games. Hopefully, as this video shows, the Metroids are going to make a spectacular comeback for the final chapter.

Wait... they also said that Aurora 313 was missing??? Interesting... But HOW EXACTLY do you steal an organic, brainlike supercomputer that's supposed to be connected to a large network???

Maybe the Aurora 313 was connected (was in) to that damaged spaceship.
Wow...that looks really amazing...
If only I had a Wii. :(
This game (and maybe Brawl) were the reasons I would get one.
