Wow...that looks really amazing...
If only I had a Wii. :(
This game (and maybe Brawl) were the reasons I would get one.

Then why not get one? Wink

Nice to see Metroids coming back.

Don't forget Galaxy!

Galaxy is a must own. it is the SM64 of the Wii. not owning it is like having a N64 and not owning SM64.

btw, the computer might have been deactivated before the steal. also, it could have happened in mere seconds. those pirates usually use weird tricks and the federation is usually inept at detecting those little details.

Why, have you played it?

I own an N64 and do not own Super Mario 64. So, no, I wouldn't call Galaxy the SM64 of the Wii, as I really, really want Galaxy and didn't like SM64.
So, how did the pirates get the first mother brain? Same way? Wtf?
Pi-Face
Let's make a timeline, shall we?

Pirates make mother brain
Federation steals mother brain
Samus kills mother brain
Pirates don't know how to rebuild mother brain
Pirates steal mother brain from Federation
Pirates reverse-engineer stolen mother brain to make more mother brains
But wasn't the first Mother Brain created by the Chozo, and then it turned evil around the time that the Pirates invaded Zebes? I thought it was implied in the eManga that the Chozo created her to help them protect Zebes, as well as having her do various tasks to keep the planet in order. It would explain why the Pirates, while they try to resurrect Mother Brain after the first attack, are unable to do so. It could be why they go after the Aurora Units in the first place, once they realize they can't do it themselves.

And from the looks of things, Aurora 313 appeared to be part of the Valhalla itself or being transported by it at the time of the attack. I say this because the Federation probe is looking for an Aurora specifically if you look at the text in the video.

On a side note relating to the Metroids, I came across this Pirate Log when I was playing through Prime earlier today:

=> Metroid Forces
Log 11.550.6

Studies of Metroid biology continue, though with limited progress. It seems likely that we will be much more successful using the Metroids for our means rather than trying to reproduce their powers. If they could be adequately tamed, we would have no need of a proper understanding of their metabolism. A small force of disciplined Metroids could wipe out entire armies, and once we find a way to shield them from cold-containment weapons, they will be invincible. Furthermore, if we could then harvest the energy they'd consumed, we would have a near-limitless source of power at our disposal

It sounds like they may have managed to do this by the events of Corruption, based on the damage to the Valhalla. I remember the video mentioning how there was nothing stolen besides the Aurora, making me believe that the pirates themselves weren't involved in the attack on the ship, except to extract the Aurora afterwards.

I was thinking about something earlier: Do the pirates ever use the Metroids prior to Corruption as weapons against the Federation themselves? Because THAT could be a huge factor behind sending Samus to SR388 after the events of Corruption take place and would help tie the series together.

But I also wonder why the pirates don't seem to have any Metroids by the time Super comes around. How do they lose EVERY single one of them before then? They obviously had other worlds where they were doing research (Tallon IV, Aether, anything in Corruption) so what happens?

well, it is a must own for most people (or will be, since it isn't out yet)

also, i meant that Galaxy is the SM64 of Wii in the sense that it will show why the new controller is the next evolution of gaming and not just some gimmick. SM64 sure proved analog sticks was the way to go in 3D games and it was so influential that Sony later enhanced the PS1 controller.
the actual quality of the game is a different issue.
Umm...it says the new vids coming out today. Can someone post them here?
i noticed  that in prime 1,there are research labs aether and hydra. aether was in metrid prime 2, so hydra may be in another game and the pirates were researching and maby raising metroids on them?
Sure thing MotherBrainII! (Check the first post. hehe)

That's the end of the videos.

While the first video is fine, the second one has an item spoiler or two if you look closely.  For instance (highly obscured to be non-spoilerific) the last enemy vanquishing and the glowing disks during the starting cutscene.
Those were awesome videos. The Dark Samus one seems to imply that Phazon is conscious or spread by a conscious entity. And the other one showed
the plasma beam and seeker missiles.

I'm excited for this game. Preordered it today... it'll be in Tuesday. I can't wait... I should freeze myself to be thawed on Tuesday a la Cartman.

Hehe, that episode is awesome., but if you do that you might return and it'll be 2 months before MP3 comes out Shocked
Damn nice final vids.
they could still add more vids that we just can't see on the channel yet.

Yeah, it's interesting that Dark Samus keeps picking up the main  enemy force of the previous game. First she spawned from Samus's Phazon suit and Metroid Prime (the boss) and now it seems to have absorbed the conciousness of the Ing, she just keeps getting more powerful, what is next? will she ally with the space pirates or infect an aurora unit? is she what attacked the space station?

umm...

Yeah most probably yes :P
[ M a n a t e e ]
Um, she already is allied with the space pirates.
