Tiling errors really break the immersion for me as well as quite a few of us #jzd members. Bolognab's just the only one vocalizing it.
I'm now considering to never go to #JZD if it will make me pay attention only to the bad parts of other's hacks.

Your call. It's not like we just nitpick hacks all the time, we just sort of comment on what we like and don't like as we play.
Boy, Bolognab should join the hack moderation team over at SMWCentral!  We're just as picky there too!  laugh new

'kay. although 20+ tiling errors per room does sound harsh.

They discuss SM hacking at an SMW website?
5:17, 62%.  Some of that is me wandering in underwater Kraid looking for a way out...  I enjoyed the item order a lot, though I think mine was different than other peoples, picked up powerbombs at a weird time and kill phantoon early I would guess.  I was somewhat annoyed that some enemies started on top of you when you went through doors.  I was usually expecting harder boss battle and then being a little disappointed.  GT was frustrating, presumably because I had 4 e-tanks and only ice.

No, but we nitpick all the SMW hacks that are submitted!  And 90% of them have tiling errors, cutoff tiles, cheap deaths, kaizo traps, bad palettes, and worst of all, FLOATING/STACKED MUNCHERS.

I think I just found some sequence break and now I'm totally stuck (don't worry, I got back up save).

Edit:
I have found a gravity suit but I still have no bomb or charge beam. Where can you find the morph ball bomb?

Yo.

Ohmigod. I made an SMW hack (which I never finished or released,) and I never even considered some of those. Who the hell would put down floating or stacked munchers? Geezus, some people are n00bs.

Large room to the very left in Crateria has Speed Booster blocks near the upper left corner of the room. Search that area, you should find Bombs in no time. ;)

Did you get the morph ball bomb before you got the gravity suit or did you get it after? I got the gravity suit first.

Anyway, thanks for your help.

Edit: Since I have already got in, how am I suppose to get out without bomb? Am I not supposed to get into it in the first place?

Edit2: I found the way to get out. The Speed Booster is my only solution.

Where do I go after morph ball?

Where do I go after morph ball?

I would go to the place where it has morph ball tunnel to explore new area. I think you're suppose to find the speed booster.

About my progress, I got bomb now.

Pretty good hack, it was a fun use of a few hours. I liked the ending, I've never seen one like it. Exploration was great also. You nailed it on the amount and the location of shortcuts. My favorite area would probably be lava-filled Norfair/Ridley (which happened to have the least tiling errors).

Onward to the criticisms! Yay:
-Very repetitive. Alot of rooms were essentially the same, divided into a bunch of tunnels. There needs to be more variation. Sometimes even had 2 rooms in a row that was just run through and kill the same enemies.
-Boring, tedious, monotonous start. Up until I got grapple it was so extremely repetitive. All I did was run around and kill a bajillion enemies that take a bajillion shots to kill. The pirate rooms especially. You need to learn moderation!
-Countless tiling errors. Every single room had a ton of tiling errors. Norfair was one of the big error-fests. It only takes a few seconds to go down to the tileset and pick the right blocks...even Kraid's room had tiling errors. O_o Did you edit the room just to make sure it had tiling errors like the other rooms? I'm disappointed in you BT and Cardweaver for not pointing this out.  :|
-Bosses were really easy, that's not necessarily bad though. Phantoon took me literally 15 seconds to kill >_>

Congratulations on your success. I would like to see more from you, but maybe minus these sloppy aesthetics.

SB or was this supposed to happen? Haven't explored onward yet, last item was morphball.

Seems with correct positioning, a dmg boost would also get you over very easily.

Edit: gay... Yo, where the hell do i go after morph?

I think the speed booster is located in the room where your ship is (I could be wrong, I don't exactly remember). But first, you need a hi-jump boots and I forgot where (Edit: actually, I don't think so.). At least, I know for sure that speed booster is located in either crateria or brinstar.
...
Speedbooster is in Brinstar...

I think I remember, the speed booster is located on right side of this picture in Brinstar.

just found SB.  now if I can just remember where the hell that room is that had the SB blocks you needed to bust through...

The picture on the top of this page?
I found hi jump, but I don't see how one would get it.  Do I just have to perfectly time a mid-air shinespark?  I've been trying for awhile but I'm not even close.  Hi-jump, X-ray and spring ball are the only things I don't have.  I found spring ball, I just didn't get it.

Does this hack require speed ball? Look at what I found out in this picture.

No it does not require speedball.  In no way do you need that reserve tank to beat Pantheon.

Using common sense and reading the first post, I'm sure you could've deduced that speedball is not required.
