Why Why Why Why Why WHY Didnt nintendo use the PRIME model for Samus's Suit! Not that I hate the Other M model. Its just that the Metroid Prime suit model was the EPITOME of metroid. It looked so damn classic!
My guess, if we're taking this type of question seriously for a second, would be that it is more in line with the athletic, more nimble Samus that they wanted this game to portray.
they changed the suit design because sakamoto was mad that his waifu samus was taken by EVIR AMERICAN COMPANY, and overall, that Retro was more successful with the series over the same time span than he was.
Probably you could list each room on end and work out a different adjective to call all of them out. Even then though you'll still only have like twelve complaints. *zing*
I'm gonna try to sum up what I don't like about Other M in one sentence, if that's even possible. Here goes:
This is not a Metroid game that I feel like I could play over and over again for years, striving for mastery.
It's kinda boring. There's so much time spent just running running running through rooms with little to interact with unless it's the first time you've gone through that room, and even then it doesn't promise to be entertaining.
I think I'll be playing this game over a few times, if only for the boss fights. I've never been one to try to really speed run or sequence break (SM/MZM excluded) so the forced order doesn't really bother me. I don't really have any problem with the suits, but I would like being able to tell if I have the gravity suit/effect/whatever without going into one of the five rooms you glow in.
How about a positive spin... does anyone else think the designers did a good job when Samus acknowledges what the others say by nodding and how she activates and deactivates the face shield?
