kewl, I found a super easy way to get into MB tunnels. Just put your back to the tunnel and shoot a charged missile at the ground a little bit in front of you. The blast will push you right through the barrier. I'm pretty sure this works in multiplayer, and if it does, it would be fun to confuse your opponent by walking around in a MB tunnel!  :P

Edit: I just remembered something. It helps to walk backwards against the wall while you shoot the missile. Some barriers don't let you through if you don't.

if you unmorph in a MB tunnel and go into a morph-ball only room (ie, frost cave, or whatever the big one in arcterra is) it automorphs you.
Strategy Guide Writer
In that room in Alinos (the one with the morphball maze below you near the start), if you jump off the crate and push left quickly once in the 'SW', you'll land back in the level in the morphball section below you. You'll be unable to unmorph and you'll be forced to reset.

Pointless, but I thought I'd point the observation out. :P

I've had Trace push me through the second room there. If you fiddle around, you can jump out.
awsome sw mr potter. i'm going to update my list now.

andrew, do you mean echo hall? i think i found that "morph tunnel trick". it is under the echo hall sw, named "echo hall sw tricks"

primetime, for some reason i can do the charge missle thing, but i can't get in the tunnel. i just tried it at VDO, the 3rd room or something like that. but i'll add it anyway, because i was VERY close to getting jammed in the tunnel. cool find

primetime, you're a genius.

The reason you couldnt get it, Dr Trence, was because you were aiming straight at the ground. you have to aim at the ground a ways away from yourself so that you get the boost backwards.

Too bad that i couldnt do much with it...

I used the glitch to go through all of the tunnels in the Archives Area of the game. No problems there.

I tried to use it to go through piston cave while standing up. a no-go. Once you get out of the tunnel, it auto-morphs you and you have to do it in morph ball.

Flickerbat i hate piston cave.

Someone needs to find a good bomb jump that will get us to the back of the area.

I also used the glitch to cover all of the big morph ball area at the first part of Alinos. I dont know whether i ran out of health, or it just killed me, but as i was entering the last area (the part above the entire thing with the force field on the ground), It killed me.

If you come across an unpassable point when you are traversing MB tunnels, you can turn around and charge a missile, then shoot it at the ground a few feet away and you will almost always move forward.
ahh okay, just did it. that's an awsome trick primetime, i'll update my list with your new trick.

the same "auto morph" thing happened to me, in the frost labyrinth, in some tunnel entrance, if you do the morph sw trick, or primetimes new trick, then you will land in the tunnel, and you will be able to move around, but when you get to the tunnel hole that leads to the rest of the maze, you will auto-morph.

now, i wouldn't normally post glitch techniques in a "SW topic", but it could help with future sw's..

first off, i think most of the credit goes to SamusAranLuver (SAL), as he is the one who posted it in the first place.

anyway, he mentioned somewhere a way to "go through a gate/wall", i think i just did it, in weapons complex, those "frost" walls, if you stand at the edge of a particular one, and try to jump rapidly, you will see that "rapid jump, and glitchy appearance", that you might see when in a mb tunnel. well, i morphed and layed a bomb, and when it went off, i unmorphed, and actually went through the frost wall by holding the d-pad foward and at a slight angle. but the reason i'm posting this here is because if i can angle the position right, i might warp through the wall, instead to the other side. if it has been discovered, then tell me, i'll edit this and take it too the sequence break topic, but this is a awsome trick/glitch.

i tried it with the other "frost walls", but i didn't get that rapid jump thing, but i'll test it out anyways.

edit: he said he used the super missle, and only mentioned using it to enter a sw, so yeah, mine and his ideas are different, but technically the same. he tried to use it for sw's, i'm trying to use it for sequence breaking.. and sw's. and possibly speed running. but for it to work, you either need to use it with that "frost wall" in VDO and arcterra i think, and all the gateways. i'm going to try it out on in some other places

so, this might be a possible sw/speed run/sequence break technique if i can get it to work in other places other than that one in weapons complex

found a "temporary" new sw speed trick:

in echo hall, when you use the front tunnel, use the morph secret world trick. when you're in the tunnel, use a super missle and you will get jammed in even further, from here, just walk around the tunnel, and when you get to the small place where the zoomer things are, use a super missle, or magmaul, and shoot it straight down. you will propell in the air, and land on the top level, where the four tunnels are.

i don't think this will work on your first visit (maybe, i haven't tested it out with a super missle), but if so, you will skip the first alinos artifact. so eventually, you'll have to get it later. but on your second visit, it will prevent you from going all the way around the maze, saving about 20 seconds

i'm going to make a new list naming it "SW speed tricks". and this will be the first :p
I messing around with my trick and found that you can't get through tunnels with doors in front of them. Darn.

And about the echo hall speed trick, there's a part where you can just jump to get to the top. I think it's where the rock ceiling meets the orange ground. But i don't think it would save any time anyways since you have to go through the tunnel to get the artifact in the first place. Unless the artifact appears above ground. But even then I don't think it would be any faster since the entrances to the maze from the zoomer pit are on a slant, preventing the blast from the missile hitting you at the right angle.

you can go through if you open the door, silly. :P

I went through a couple of those and saw the rooms load as i went through to the piston cave. it was pretty rippin'.

I encountered the frost labyrinth one as well a while back.
i knew that it wouldn't work on your first visit, where you collect the artifact, it could be used for the second visit to alinos.

lazylen, he probably meant that he was trying to pass the door, so you can actually "wallcrawl".. if you could wallcrawl, you might be able to skip current rooms. and that would lead to skipping current items. but, that probably won't happen. you will need to warp through the the room you are trying to bypass eventually, if you don't, you won't go anywhere.

I did open the doors, but even with them open it wouldn't let me through. I'll try it some more and see if I can get through them.

Oh, and an awesome place to go into a MB tunnel in biped is in frost labyrinth in the little room where you get the artifact. If you go to the end of the tunnel where the door is then move the camera around the graphics get all glitchy.  :P

Dr. Trence: ah, right right, of course.  #-o
weird, i just the same thing with that frost labryinth thing with your trick. i saw the same thing, except i couldn't get out of the tunnel, i was stuck.

primetime: what is your new trick called again? i don't know what to call it on my list, so i put "easier way to get into a tunnel"

and do you mean you couldn't get past the doors even with them open? i did it with a super missle, and past the core processing sw. and it seems that in any tunnel you end up in, when you get to the morph ball hole, you get a auto-morph. your trick will be VERY useful to finding new sw's. mr potter found 2 by using a super missle to pop through the roof, and your trick is similar. i'm trying to find a sw with it, but all that happened was me being frozen in the tunnel. mr potters sw's involve REALLY small mb tunnels, and that's why he was able to pop through them. so i or someone else needs to find a room with a tunnel that you can't get in using the morph sw trick, and instead use your trick, because it seems that you can get in a lot easier into the tunnel using a super missle.

the alinos trick just might be useful if we can get underneath the artifact. maybe then we could pop up underneath and grab the artifact from below?
that could be possible, but i think inorder to proceed you NEED to get the key so you can deactivate the shield that is blocking the door to high ground, but i'll make a new file a see if that works. it might work because i don't think there is no "barrier" that is under the artifact shield. it is only a graphical thing that has the "barrier" preventing you to get it from the outside.
I guess I'll call it the missile through barrier (MTB) trick for now. If someone comes up with a better name, feel free to tell me. I really don't care what it's called as long as its short and simple.

And I tried going through the MB tunnel with a door in echo hall, and I was able to get through it. I'm just not able to get through the ones in weapon complex and compression chamber. But if you go to the little room where you get the battlehammer and do the MTB through the hole there, you can get a better look at the brain! :D

Last time I checked, in this game, you don't need an upgrade to fire super missiles.

Also, in the second Alinos visit, you'd use the portal. You wouldn't go through Echo Hall.

EDIT: SCU's Troid92 found a new secret world. In Fan Room Alpha (Celestial Archives), hop up until you're on the fifth platform up. Now stand right next to the column and jump toward it. You should end up going inside the column. Now just don't move, and you'll fall to your death. Unless my counting's mistaken, this means we have eight secret worlds (not counting the one EP found, since that would be hard to reproduce and also has no specifics).

EDIT 2: And not counting my Spire-push-through-wall Stasis Bunker secret world for the same reasons.
Anywhere, everywhere
I was messing with Alinos Gateway... again... and I found a way to almost get through another wall. I was playing as Spire and went up the wall left of the lavafall. After some rocket jumps and rolling up, the Dialanche got stuck in the wall, half in and half out. I tried fiddling around for a bit, but nothing worked. Eventually, the Dialanche shot back out onto the playing field. Oh well.
i have come REALLY close to finding one. in weapons complex, in the room where the two droid things are and where the big arena below is, there is a "frost" wall. if you put your back up to it, and keep rapidly jumping, you will see a little gap. sooner or later, the frost wall will go away and you will see that half of weapons complex is gone! i've only done this once and can't reproduce it, but i was about to take a pic until i moved away from the wall, then the graphics reappeared again. but, what the goal was is to just step out of the room, and die, like you would usally do. as far as i know, i yet again "secretized" the room, because i was trying to step out of it, but i couldn't, because the invisible frost wall was still there. so, maybe someone can try this out, but i don't think they will get it, it was VERY random, and the only reason i did it is because i was messing around with the "go through wall" glitch.

i'm going to add this to the "sw's close to being discovered", and also the one that troid92 found

mr potter, i knew there wasn't a upgrade for the super missle, i just said that i thought there wasn't a way to get on the ceiling, until primetime found that you can use that ledge to get to the celing.
So, how exactly does the go through a wall glitch work? Like, what are you supposed to do?
I did a 1:38 run the other day and I used this trick. I'll tell you there's nothing stopping you from using this trick on the first visit.
The go through walls trick? I really need to get updated with tricks and routes for my new run.
i just messed with it again, and will confirm it (vid), the particular place it is in might be used as a speed trick as well. so, here it is:

VDO, weapons complex, top floor. when you get to the elevator, take it. when you get to the top, turn left, and you will see the "frost wall" i was talking about.

there are two different methods that WILL work, but one of them is easier than the other. the first one is doing the following:

1. morph into a ball
2. hold the d-pad up, when you see the ball slowly come down (roll to the right side of the wall, and push up), stay there
3. lay a bomb
4. when you blast up, unmorph right away, and jump

if you did it right, you will propel yourself even further because you will land on the small slide thing, and activating your second jump, while getting a small boost from the bomb jump, will make you simply warp through the wall. however, this is what i was talking about earlier, this method is A LOT harder. i was able to only do it once, it might be better to use method 2. anyway, method 2 does the following:

1. put your back to the wall, and hold DOWN
2. activate a super missle, and angle the beam far enough from you so you can shoot yourself backwards
3. shoot the missle, and when you boost backwards, just keep jumping
4. afterwards, two more jumps will make you warp through the wall, and to the other side

as for that speed trick. i can't remember (again), but when you arrive on VDO for the first time, and about to face sylux on the top floor of weapons complex, you COULD use the "go through wall" trick, to get to the other side, and automatically get to the fight. but what i don't know is if sylux is on the other side of the wall next to the elevator. someone can try this but since i'm a noob at explaining things, it's best to show with a vid. i'll edit this post when the vid is up

I know there isn't. I just got confused because I didn't know you could reach the top floor with a super missle, and a odd little ledge thing you can jump with. It's a awsome trick, the first "sw trick" that can actually be used in speed runs.  :D

w00t w00t! I just skipped Piston Cave! :D  Too bad it's probably harder this way. Wink

All right, here's how you do it. First make sure to have full health, as this can take off many Energy Tanks. In Processing Core, go to the Morph Ball tunnel at the right. Keep using the Magmaul to keep pushing farther into the tunnel. Eventually, you will shoot out the side, ready to get the Death message. You have to be quick here; you have to jump and hold backwards to get back inside the tunnel the second you shoot out. If done correctly, the screen should be violently shaking.

Now for the hardest part. Shoot the Morph Ball door so it will open later, then fall down the tunnel. As soon as possible, you should jump in midair and just catch the lip of the tunnel leading to the end of Piston Cave. Then, turn so your back is facing the door and shoot the wall in front of you. You should be right on the Morph Ball door. From here you can do 2 things.
1: Just Morph, turn around and get to the back of Piston Cave. Very safe method.
2: Use more Magmaul boosts to get into the back of Piston Cave. Here you can do neat things like stand in the Piston Cave!

Keep in mind that this was done on my 100% file so I don't know if it works or not. But I bet and hope that the artifact is there.
awsome! i just tried it.. but i didn't get it. i had a VERY annoying fight with trace, weavel, and two guardians every time i went through the morph ball door. but still, i couldn't get to the end of piston cave. but i don't get it, how do you pop through the tunnel using the magmaul? i shot straight up, but just damaged myself.
I don't know if that would save time because of all the energy tanks and UA you need to get before hand. Just taking the time to get all that staff might cancel out the time that you save by skipping the piston cave. Well, I'll try it out for myself tomorrow and see what its like. And it seems a bit odd that it doesn't auto morph you once you get into the piston cave. I can't wait to check that out.
