Hmm...you know, I don't know, but when it played out earlier (Not in the Epilogue), they played an after the fact memory where it shows his communicator coming off.

Chapters 18 and 29 are the cutscenes I'm referring to, btw.

His communicator fell off while Samus was having trouble with Ridley. He didn't have the Communicator on during the epilogue cutscene.

EDIT: She was just sad Adam died, how do you know she blamed herself?
Welp, there goes that theory.  His communicator was shut off.

I'm guessing she blamed herself because it just looks like she did.  There was a lot of sadness in that scene.  Maybe in retrospect it was like 'if I wasn't tricked by MB, Adam wouldn't have died'.

But there were actually Metroids in sector zero. Somebody still had to go there.

EDIT: Or there were beer and strippers. Take your pick.

Well yeah, but MB set it up as a trap.  She told Samus that MB/S0 Metroids were in there (half-truth).  If Adam wasn't there, she would've died because there really was no way to defeat them with her current equipment without a Power Bomb Sacrifice.
"Somebody still had to go there."

Even if Samus wasn't tricked, and shot MB instead, somebody would have still had to go to Sector Zero. Adam would have went there, and yeah...

They could've just blown up the entire station like they eventually did.
...At that stage, no. They only decided to blow up the entire station after all the Metroids were dead. Remember, while Samus was talking to MB? "Why didn't they blow up the station? The Federation had the technology."

The Federation still wanted the Metroids. Adam said no.
Let's face it.  Sector Zero Metroids will be Metroid V.  There will be a way to destroy them, and MB will probably be the final boss.

Also, my guess is that they get the Fusion Suit off Samus somehow.
Way to totally change the subject. >_>

But Sector Zero freaking exploded.

I was getting bored talking about it.  I'm not arguing that it didn't (although some have/are).

Some other things people are complaining about:
- Samus' height is inconsistent with her heigh in the Super Metroid Player's Guide (Not kidding)
- Magic Suit Samus (Concentration/Willpower/Consciousness)
- Samus' fashion sense (Probably the most debated)
- Whether or not Samus has been turned into a submissive puppet

All I can say is thank goodness they didn't explain how the Morph Ball actually works.
Samus's fashion sense? I never heard anything about that...
Well, her green jacket, brown pants and white knee high boots combo have taken some people by surprise.
Thats when she was in the military. >_>

End of the game cutscene.  It's also in the gallery.
Oh...

IDK. But she was wearing similar clothes to when she was in the military.
Magic Suit Samus isn't new.
Quote from TheOthin:
Magic Suit Samus isn't new.

See Crystal Flash.
I know Magic Suit Samus isn't new, but people are saying it's inconsistent with Fusion and Corruption over the whole 'well, if she loses consciousness it should come off even though it doesn't' yet when I explain to them foreign substances enter her body/take control of her/suit, they don't seem to listen.  My explanation is that the suit stayed on in both cases to prevent her from dying.
It doesn't come off when she losese consciousness. She loses consciousness when all the energy from the suit is lost.
Well, during the opening cutscene of Other M, you see her in that chair in her suit, she goes to sleep, suit's off somehow.  Also, the suit somehow got cleaned, so they're guess was the suit came off while she was sleeping.

One thing I didn't understand is how they cloned Ridley.  MB tells her they cloned the Metroids from the cells of the baby that ASPLODED all over her suit.  Are we to assume they got pieces of Ridley off her suit too?  If so, it wasn't obvious to me; and what the hell else did they get off of there?

Also, some people were asking how they got Ridley for Fusion when he got "Metroided".  We know from Fusion that the X can possess organic as well as mechanical creatures.  I don't believe they can possess dead creatures, so maybe Ridley wasn't completely dead.  Like when the baby sucks Mother Brain in SM, Mother Brain looks dead but then slowly starts to come back, regaining her colour.  Maybe Ridley had a tiny bit of life energy left, and the GF just took him and froze him in the Fusion cooler.

Oh, and I'm pretty pissed.  All the commercials I saw, even the box/instruction book said like "Finally, the story of Samus' past can be told".  It didn't tell d!ck about her past!!!  I wanted to see her as a child, about her parents, her Chozo upbringing, etc.  My thoughts.

Ridley was dead. The X parasite even forms into his dried-out corpse, as seen when you first enter his room in Fusion.

I will give kudos to Other M for filling in the plothole of how the hell Ridley wound up on BSL.

ANKOKU
X can't prosess mechanical creatures. Nightmare and BOX both have Biological parts.
BOX's brain, and Nightmare's... face.

Doesn't the Ridley disintegrate when you enter his room from the left side and the X run away?
That would lead to fairly certain it was just the husk.
Phoenix
Yes, and when you find the Ridley-X later in sector 1, it's sitting there as Ridley's corpse as seen in Other M, before figuring out "gee this won't work" and reanimating itself.
