Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
What I find silly (if we exclude the fact that disscussing this stuff is silly anyway) is: If they're capable of cloning, why don't they just clone Samus?  Then the galaxy would be saved, and we would all live happily ever after.

We've had two already.  We don't need anymore.

I also share the sentiments that they didn't delve too much into her past.  Although the Chozo stuff probably would've weirded out too many people.

We haven't had a proper clones of Samus.  We've just had twisted, dark recreations.  I'm on about an actual Clone of Samus, as she is, and as who she is.  Perhaps the multiplayer fans would rejoice too?

naw. no more clones of Samus. the evil versions were enough and she put them away.

concerning Ridley, what i thought is that the feds cloned him again with the intent to use him as a bioweapon after seeing his potential but had to freeze him because he was really aggresive and would just rampage over the station. the X assuming his "frozen" form is probably just an incubation state for them to completely reform and hide.

if he was still alive after the queen sucked up his power, he should have been able to recover even a bit and Samus would have noticed that he was alive. he looked pretty dead like the soldier and pirate husks in mp3 to me.

Yeah, but we had enough clones for a while. Actually, only Metroid/ZM, Metroid II and Metroid Prime Hunters don't have any clones.

EDIT: Vorash (Lava Whale) might have been easy, but at least it had decent build up to the fight.

The Rhedogian was pretty good, it felt good to be able to easily slaughter it in the Epilogue.

Prime didn't have a clone. Only Echoes and Corruption did.
And you forgot Super Metroid.

They were sufficient, nothing really special apart from the queen and phantoon, and even then the fights themselves weren't particularly interesting. it's partly down to the combat starting out with Samus too overpowered and not evolving over the game.

With the exception of Rhedoghian (or whatever it was called), there was no real point to the bosses because you didn't get anything from them.

Pretty sure that disqualifies it from "containing a clone". All the other games you mentioned, you actually FIGHT the clone and you see their FULL BODY MULTIPLE TIMES.
