is IS allowed inr Prime 1 speed runs?
For SDA?  They may have recently allowed secret worlds, but IS takes the mysterious teleportation rule and pisses all over it.  The glitch pretty much turns Samus' collision detection into something resembling patchy fog for a very small fraction of time, covering much of the area in the process and bringing her into contact with all sorts of items, traps, liquids, and enemies as a result.  That's not even bringing up the possibility of an actual teleportation by cutscene or collision with a Morph Ball mechanism.

My word may not be official, but unless they've completely lost all of their "morality," the answer is an obvious no.  That doesn't mean anyone's stopping or discouraging you from uploading such a run to YouTube or something; there would still be plenty of interest in a good run that utilized IS, myself included.

Mysterious teleportation was allowed as well at the same time OoB was.

Is there anywhere I can find that out for sure? because using floaty jump after Flaagrah would really help me because otherwise I have to caome back later for the artifact. I can't use the the oculus/ infintie bomb jump trick because I suck at timing bombs.

Specifically,

Glitch categorization: For games where the OOB, clipping, or warping glitches only skip a small portion of the game, such as Mega Man X's Flame Mammoth ceiling trick or Ocarina of Time's Deku Tree skip, then such glitches are NOT a separate category. However, when the OOB, clipping, or warping glitches let you skip large chunks of the game, including whole stages, such as Metroid Prime's secret worlds or Castlevania: Circle of the Moon's summon warp, then it will be a separate category. A faster run that does not use these glitches will naturally obsolete a slower run that does.
Apparently only glitches that can severely alter the course of an entire game are banned now.

So are you saying that I can use IS to gaet the artifact near Chapel of the Elders and the missile expansion in Phendrana Shorlines early and that I can use the SW to get floaty jump so I can get the artifact without too much backtracking? That would probably bring me below 2:20.

I use Floaty Jump every time.  I hate the Oculus IBJ.
Well at least now I know I'm not alone. That oculus thing had the potential to kill me more times than a certain L-lock space jump in Magmoor.

Jagger ftw
I still can't do is..

EDIT: I am just wondering, what happends if you go in koc with is?

and also @ dragon ridley

Why would you need to go to mine security station backwards any ways? and IIRC, you get stuck on ALL version other than Korean (but it will mess up any ways at certain point of the game)
I had skipped that room the first time when I dashed to phazon processing center but I still needed to get the artifact in elite research from there the quickest route out of the mines would be to go through that mine security station backwards if it were not for that little bug.
And at the cost of sounding like an idiot: What does IIRC mean?
Jagger ftw
Don't worriy you don't sound like I idiot.
If I remember correctly, I had to ask too when the first time I came here.

also, what does IMO means?
in my opinion.
Mine security station is the room where the cutscene activates twice right? I wonder what causes that. Od. Just curious, I wonder if it's possible to wallcrawl past? Probably depends on where (and how big) the trigger for the cutscene is, although it shouldn't extend beyond room boundaries.
I don't know. I never really caucght on to this internet lingo. For some reason though I haven't seen IMO or IIRC outside of the M2K2 forum. Then again, this is the only forum I a part of but surely I should have noticed this on YouTube.
iirc is rather rare and was passed down here from the original group that started sequence breaking metroid prime. imo is more common i would think.

It's probably a GameFAQs thing.  I originally picked it up from assassin17 several years ago, and I only remember that because it took a couple months before I finally asked him what it meant.
yeah, that makes perfect sense.
Yes, but what do they mean?
“Well done is better than well said”
Simply google the ones you don't know.
getting there...
I don't now why you'd take the time to post but not tell them what it means...

As you suggested, I did a quick google search and came up with all of the below:

IIRC Interactive Illinois Report Card
IIRC If I Recall/Remember Correctly
IIRC If I Read Correctly
IIRC If I Really Cared
IIRC Image and Identity Research Collective
IIRC Impedance Imaging Research Center (Korea)
IIRC If It Really Counts
IIRC If I Recollect Correctly
IIRC International Internet Recruiting Consultants, Inc.
IIRC International Inter-Society Research Committee (on Nuclear Codes and Standards)
IIRC Internet Information Research Center
IIRC Immunity and Infection Research Centre
IIRC Interstate Insurance Receivership Compact
IIRC Information Integrity Research Centre (UK)
IIRC International Interpretation Resource Center
IIRC International Interdisciplinary Research Colloquium
IIRC Iraqi Islamic Reconciliation Conference
IIRC Inactive Item Review Code (US DoD)
IIRC Isn't It Really Cool
IIRC IVF & Infertilty Research Centre (Calcutta, India)

So your post wasn't very helpful...
Here you can find anything you need : http://www.acronymfinder.com/.
Hope this helps.
IIRC = If I Recall Correctly (or any variation that means the same thing)
red chamber dream
Time to get back on topic.
Well I guess it's kinda my faut so: HAve any new IS spots been discovered? I might ahve found something that I've already mentioned on another thread. But even if it does have IS potential it's preety inconsistent.
thats some quite cool glitches man, btw, wouldnt that mean the testers of the game have done a bad job lol? cause like, if theres glitches, that means the game hasnt really been tested properly O.O
Nah, the difference between us and the playtesters is that they just play it through the normal way. We play it through ass backwards with all sorts of discovered techniques because it's faster and more fun that way.

Playtesters are just basically acting like normal gamers, playing it through and reporting any faults they encounter, but when you've got an audience who are actively searching for glitches, there's no way you are going to eliminate them all, no matter how hard you try. Echoes is testament to that. They knew MP1 was being SBed like crazy, so they tried harder to stop that. Which, as I'nm sure you know failed completely, it's even more breakable than MP1.
