The PAL version of MP2 isn't out yet, but then again I got Half-Life 2 in the meantime.

It's taking forever to "unlock" the game through the internet though... stupid stupid Valve! Why can't they just accept the fact that people will pirate their game! *mumble mumble*.....

I got mp2 ealier today played 38mins and saved at the second save station before the splinter boss. I took my time playing, scaning everything.I played without the hint system on. There is scan and locking dash but the dash doesn't have the same distance as the first prime, the dash is like shorter distance.

Half-Life 2 is awesome as hell, but you have to put up with being treated like a criminal. That is, the game requires an internet connection every time you want to play it (even though it's singleplayer only). Also, you HAVE to use Steam, which is extremely stupid. Yeah, there are about 100 hoops you must jump through to play.

The whole game comes encrypted on the CDs/DVD and you have to connect to Steam and let it unencrypt the game. This takes a good while since the Steam servers are severely overloaded at the moment. You might get lucky and get through quickly, but don't count on it. But don't take my word for it, read about it here.

I'm not quite sure yet if it's worth it, but I promise you, once you can actually play the game, it is sweeeeeeeeet. If you can wait, I'd reccommend waiting a few days until the extreme rush of people connecting to Steam to activate the game has subsided a bit. Or until you can get a pirate version which will be much more user-friendly.

Although Valve shouldn't get away with bullshit like this, there's really nothing that can be done at this point.

So all in all, it is an awesome game wrapped with three million tons of bullshit.

Well, after taking a nap for a little too long and missing a class, I just said fuck it and drove 100 miles to the mall and bought the game..I'll just get something else for Christmas.

Of course in the store, the guy selling it asked "Are you going to get the guide for" and I cut him off and said "No, I'll be fine when I play through" and he got all talky while the receipt took forever to go through (I used my check card) and was all "so do you play lots of games?" and stuff so I just said "yes, thanks for the game" and left.

Then I almost hit a deer on the way home.

Buying online is so less a hassle. Rolling Eyes

I'm going to either buy it this weekend at some point, or get it at Christmas.. hmm.. choices.. getting it now means I pay for it, getting it at Christmas means mom pays for it.. so choices, choices.. rofl I hope they don't ask me to get the stupid n00b guide like they did to RS. "OMG GET TEH GUIDE TOO, ONLY 5 BUCKS WHEN YOU BUY THE GAME, YOU NEED IT TO BEAT THE GAME AND FIND EVERYTHING, 'CUZ WE THINK YOU'RE STUPID, AND CAN'T BEAT GAMES WITHOUT A GUIDE." rofl rofl.. omg.. I haven't read the instruction booklet for a new game in years, what makes them think I want to get a guide. Like, guides are good for certain games, don't get me wrong but I don't think I'm a need it for MP2. :P I only read instruction booklets, like after I've played just for pictures and like oOOOOH look at those pretty items, I want those. ^^ :p
