After much deliberation I decided to make a MP2T topic because of the differences from the JPU version and because I don't need to clutter the Wii de Asobu thread with my crap.

• unlike MP1, there's no Version differences between the Japanese and US versions of MP2 for Wii (apart from the language of course).
• BSJs and Roll Jumps can't be done since the glitch to jump after an instant unmorph was fixed.
• Ghetto jumps are exacerbated in the first place but can be even more so 'boosted' by locking onto something with the scan or combat visor and Ghettoing.
• 101% Ghetto can still be done, along with the Industrial Site ghetto.
• Early Seekers can essentially still be done but you cannot manipulate the spinners to access the seekers.
• Early boost can no longer be done.
• TRHBJ is still possible I'm pretty sure.
• Gravity Boost could still be gotten early; at the cost of your sanity.
• Early Screw Attack is probably a no-no. no roll jumps/freeze dash but there could be a new undiscovered method...
• Dark Suit can be skipped like in the GC version. you can go to Torvus just after you get the Light Beam. do the Ghetto Jump in Abandoned Base just like before (the jump reaches the ledge even without extra moves)
• Secret Worlds can be done in several places but not in others since the more prominent ones like TAS were fixed. Morph SWs still work in doors with hollow rings. SA SWs can't be done because SA clipping was fixed.
• Early Power Bomb Expansion from near TAS works using a different SW (SW50 - Transport B).
• For more miscellaneous information, check out the JP version topic.

Sequence Breaks and Rooms that need to be solved:

______________________________________________________________________________

Crapple Beam:

Grand Abyss - Can likely be bypassed with the SW in this room, assuming it hasn't been fixed.
Hive Dynamo Works - Can be done using a lucky Scan Dash (one try) or a lucky blast of the seeker targets (one time)
Phazon Pit - Screw Attack is collected by the time you need to be in this room.
Sanctuary Temple - Might be the biggest hitch. SW's probably.
Vault - Might try a Strawberry Surprise.
Venemous Pod - IIRC you can still jump off the Ing Cache.

______________________________________________________________________________

Without Dark Visor:

Hive Dynamo Works - Midair morph over an elevator skipping a long dark world scene. The ghettos in this game are exacerbated so it should be even easier.
Temple Access - Ghetto jump + screw attack over the gate, speed trick and SB.
Unseen Way - Just jump on the damn platform!

______________________________________________________________________________

Without Seekers:

Hive Dynamo Works - Same as without Dark Visor.
Hyrdodynamo Station - Crazy ass underwater dash to Light or Dark door.
Temple Access - Same as without Dark Visor.

______________________________________________________________________________

Without Gravity Boost:

Catacombs - Needs an underwater dash. Might be doable with a boost from a Blogg (they launch you pretty far)

______________________________________________________________________________

Without Spider Ball:

Dynamo Access - Use my method, stand on the poles and just jump over the spider thing.
Dynamo Works - Do a difficult Sasuke Hop to reach the top.
Hall of Combat Mastery - Midair morph over any of the spider inclinations.
Hive Dynamo Works - Jump on the morph ball hole and screw attack to the ledge with the key.
Main Research - Tricky scenery climbing to difficult to describe.
Sanctuary Temple - Unfortunately you can't seem to exit this room without spider/sw's. SW's do seem to be the key for this one.
Watch Station - Also likely impossible.

______________________________________________________________________________

With early Power Bomb expansion:

The main PB can be collected in the Sky Temple Key clean-up
The Sky Temple Key near Spider Guardian can be collected just after getting Spider
You can do the Boost Guardian quick kill
You can skip most of dark hydrodynamo station by going to Grapple Guardian right after the Lower Torvus Temple Key
The faster route to escape Sanctuary after returning the energy can be used.

so far, it sounds exactly like the jp version, except for the new barrier blocking Dark Suit skip. those speed tricks should be doable in the jp version.
anyway, i'll comment more when i get my copy and play it.

btw, can you do BSJs in this version or are they dead like in the jp version?
IIRC BSJ's are only left in MP1.
I don't know if you guys just assumed this still worked or not, but ghetto jumping up the piece of metal to get out of the GFMC Compound still works.  You have to go around so you can lock on to the crate near the door leading away from the Sanctuary elevator, then go back and do the jump.  It's much easier than the one from the other side.

• With some persistence, early powerbombs can be done; one bomb in midair rule does not apply in this game.

The dynamo chamber expansion? I thought that was impossible without the hole behind the tree and bsjs (for Temple Transport B). Are you talking about one of the later sanctuary expansions, or have you found a way into a sw early on in temple grounds? I didn't see anything about this in the other topic, but if there's already an explanation, could you link me please?

VERY difficult Ghetto out of temple grounds, oddly 1 bomb in midair rule doesn't apply in this game.

So is it impossible to get the Energy Tank in that room with the Power Bomb Door?  Or can you do a roll jump?  If you can't, would you be able to dash across with the Grapple Point?

EDIT: I think it's Grand Windchamber.
Discovered a minute saving speed trick in Hall of Combat Mastery, uploading to youtube.
Metroid Prime, what else?
Anyone noticed the graphical glitch when you turn into morph ball in mp2? i've got it in my PAL version
I haven't seen any glitches like that.  I have, however, seen a kind of ghetto jump with the spring ball.  Could this be useful?
Some how in the SA room, when I bomb the Main Bomb slot for all the Glass things to fall off of the Screw Attack Platform, I stay in that bomb slot forever, not being able to use bombs.
Metroid Prime, what else?
This is another glitch many people have. Try to use the spring ball to escape.

i just started playing this game and everything looks good.
i noticed we've got PAL's huge text box instead of the small one in the US GC version.
i used the sasuke hop to do the speed trick in the room where you step on a crate and then activate the switch tomake it carry you to the door.
then i used the same trick for an early missile and E-tank in TAS and then i used it for the 101% trick. doing the trick from the other side to go on without triggering the cutscene works too.
funny how most of the surviving tricks are at the very beginning. i hope i find something new on the way since baby sheegoth has found several speed tricks already.
:D I have probably broken the game as much as it's going to be broken atm. The elevator crash glitches have been fixed due to a new epic loader.
Too bad I was never a big fan of this game or I would be helping out with breaking it down.
Yea, can't say I enjoyed this game enough to follow it properly either. I'm just kinda making it up as I go along.

Ghetto and bombs? Do you mean a ghetto with the Spring Ball together with bombs (You can ghetto with the Spring Ball?) or ghettoing up somewhere normally and then bomb jumping? Also, where in particular do you do it (room and place in the room)? I'm sorry to bombard you with questions. I should have my copy soon, and I'd like to try this myself, since I'm very fond of this break. Thank you for your help.

hmmm.... looks like someone messed up along the way....

done in the trilogy version.
seems mp2 is equal on both regions so far...
So... am I supposed to guess that you got to Torvus without the Dark Suit? (Which, coincidentally, is where I currently got to the last time I played my Trilogy run) Thought someone said that the door closes and you couldn't skip the suit and had to return the Agon energy?

Err... that would be the door leading out of Agon I'm referring to.

That was me, After I grabbed the Dark Agon key it wouldn't let me into torvus, f*cking dick.

i even got 2 dark agon keys just in case the trick didn't work and i had to go the normal way.

nothing was blocking my way to torvus after getting the light beam and getting out of the pirate base. i guess the first post should be updated.
Why does the game hate me? D:
Could anyone check to see if the Airthorn still exists in Dark Transit Station?  There's a small chance Retro may have removed it for being a redundant enemy without a working logbook entry.

<-- if you need to know what it looks like.  For all intents and purposes, you'd only be looking for gray Nightbarbs.

that room is in the torvus area, right?
can they be seen from the regular area or do you need a SW?

Dark Agon.

They can attack you in the normal room when you're on the bridge, but you need to be in a secret world to scan them.  They also don't stick around very long.
