Who would you like to compose and arrange the soundtrack for Other M?

Personally, I'd love it for Yamamoto to return, but I'd be interested to see what someone new could bring the the Metroid sound.

Also, it'd be great if the credits theme was Metroid Metal, don't you agree?

REMEMBAH ME?
Stemage doing some tracks would be epic

Obviously Kenji. Super alone proves that ;)

If I'm honest, I have no idea who any of them are.  I therefore have no idea which one I'd prefer to do the music.  In the same way that I don't give a monkey's who directs a film, I have no interest in who makes / composes music for a game.  The film is either good, or not good.  The game is either good, or not good.  The music for a game is either good, or not good.  Who is responsible is all but irrelevant.  I have never bought a game based solely on which company it was developed by.
You've played the games, you're likely to be familiar with the music and, therefore, have an opinion on it. No opinion is kind of an opinion, too.
I didn't choose, but at this point I'd almost go with any of the composers who have worked with the series before. The music completely depends on the mood of the game, and as far as Metroid goes, they've pretty much always had fitting music given the situation Samus finds herself in.
Kenji Yamamoto for sure.  All of the main memorable tracks with the exception of M1's Brinstar and Kraid themes, and M2's tunnel theme were done by him.  The Primes and Super all had phenomenal OSTs and he'd be perfect for the job again I'm sure.
Good point that I hadn't really though of when I made my post. I'm going to vote for him, seeing as a lot of the tracks from Super have been remixed over the course of the series, and he was there for the Prime series completely right?

is this true?

FirePhoenix phrased his sentence awkwardly. To rephrase his sentence, he said "M1's Brinstar and Kraid, as well as M2's tunnel theme, are the only memorable tracks in the series not composed by Kenji Yamamoto."

Anyways, I voted for Yoshitomi, mostly because I like Metroid 2's eclectic soundtrack. Granted, if he actually did compose something in that style it probably wouldn't fit in with the game at all.
Definately Yamamato.  It will probably be somebody new though, as they're working with Team Ninja...
I'd say that Hip Tanaka's soundtrack is only inferior (for lack of a better word) to that of SM and even Prime's is mainly due to the limited technology. In terms of melodies and musicality, it's on a par with Yamamoto's work. I like the redone music form Zero Mission, but they left out the elevator/item room theme!
no love for the hunters ost? it rules! was extremely hard to choose between those dudes and stemage ...
The only track I liked from Hunters was Arcterra...II I think.

I'd actually agree with that. No matter what level of technology a Metroid game was made for, the music almost always sounds great for that time period. Same with Mario, Zelda, or pretty much any Nintendo franchise for that matter.

I went with the guys whe did the Fusion soundtrack.  Second is a tie between Hip Tanaka and Kenji Yamamoto.
Anywhere, everywhere
Hunters' music is actually pretty good. The game itself kinda sucks, but the soundtrack has some nice remixes and original stuff, too. That said, Kenji's still the best way to go.
What'd you say?
I'd like to see who ever made Super Metroid's music work on other M.
Kenji makes awesome music.
Believe it or not that's actually a floppy disk.
Since we have a new company making it, why not have someone else take a shot.

I want Metroid Metal and whoever did Super Metroid's music to do MOM's Music!!
I'd like to hear music that has a dark /tech sounding tone to it.  Stuff like Phendrana just doesn't sound metroidy to me.
