On the left side are the octoliths from the first trip to each zone.
On th e right side are the octoliths from the second trip.
I think alinos uses red dots, arcterra uses blue, and vdo uses purplish, or something like that. But logical deduction will help you figure it out.
But i'm fairly sure it's this:

Code:
Celestial archives 1| |Celestial Arcives 2
                    | |
Alinos 1 | |Alinos 2
                    | MAP |
VDO Gateway 1 | |VDO Gateway 2
                    | |
Arcterra 1 | |Arcterra 2
woah  Rolling Eyes i think i understand now, but if red stands for alinos, then i only got 1 artifact, but i know i have 2. well, i dont know, i THOUGHT i had 3... but where do i find the other one?
Anywhere, everywhere
The first one is in that piston maze that you already got. The next one is nest to the ship portal, you have to scan a computer to get it. The last one takes some backtracking. Go to Alinos Perch and shoot the three switch things to activate some jump pads the n use them to get to a computer. Scan it to unlock a door, the use more jump pads to get to the door. The artifact is in the next room.
okay, i need more help. im in arcterra, my second visit collecting the other 3 artifacts. so far, i have 2, but the other one i think is in Fault Line. Except when im in there, theres another force field up! i scanned it again, and it said i need to scan some thing to deactivate it, but i cant find it. am i supposed to get another octo, or just scan a computer?
Anywhere, everywhere
Go up the elevator in Fault line and jump on the jump pad in front of you. This will take you to a whole new part of Fault line. Beat the assload of enemies in here then a shield key will appear. The shield covering that artifact will go away! Then scan the computer to deactivate that electric stuff. Then, use a missle on that pillar to return back to the beginning of Fault Line to collect the artifact. I hope that that's the one you're talkng about.
no, i already have that one. im talking about the force field that covers half of the fault line, the other side. i dont even know if the other half of FL has a artifact, but i cant find anything to deactivate the shield
Anywhere, everywhere
Oh, okay. The way to deactivate that one is to stand on that really high ledge (the one you use the jump pad to get to), then turn around and find those two little red switches behind you. BTW look towards the force field when you do this. Turn on your Imperialist, zoom in, and blast them both to shatter the force field. You may have to jump to get them. A head's up though, you're about to get a very annoying artifact, it involves a very tricky maze and a MAJOR Gaurdian battle.
thanks, im starting on it now, but anyway, the fight cant be as annoying as the VDO slench...i spent nearly 30 minutes fighting that stupid boss on VDO, but anyway, im ready
Anywhere, everywhere
I didn't say it was hard, just... annoying.

As for being hard, just wait till Cretaphid v4. Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil  And no, I am NOT telling you the easy way to kill him, you gotta find out by yourself. Mwahaha!!!!
just go on top of the ledge right of the door to block his torpedos and most of his lasers.
haha yea cant wait... hard is my best friend! didnt know that huh?  :D but like yea, where do you fight him?
That i forget but i belive it's the Ice planet.
so its my upcoming boss...interesting, well, eventually, im probably going to get tired of the so called "cretaphid" or whatever its called, so your tip might help, i hated the last boss, and considering rek said this one is hard, he has to be HARD.
Anywhere, everywhere
Meh, to me, dying 5 times on a boss is hard. However, after finding out the "easy" way to beat him, I never died since. :D  And it isn't what SAL said.

Cretaphid is the pole boss, FYI. Except this one will move you when you see it.
Oy, bad pun >.<
then how do you shoot at it?! its hard enough to shoot at a hunter when there running all over the place! i'll take care of him tonight, if i feel like it. but spending 30 minutes on a boss is very irritating. but..eventually...i'll find the "easy" way to beat him...
Er...i move pretty slow and use the volt driver to take out the eye balls...then us shockcoil for easy hits. Well...thats what i did and i only did that cause i had like 340 ammo.
the shock coil is pretty weak, i always use my power beam on those poles when shooting at the blue eye things, but since you cant miss with the shock coil, and that it takes not alot of ammo, i might use it, but the process might go very slowly. i always use my judicator beam to kill things, so i dont really use the other weapons. but i have about 340 too, so i dont know. with that amount of ammo, i dont really care how much of it i take.

What control setting are you using? I hope Stylus!
yep, im using the right handed stylus method. even though im left handed  :?
aren't left handed people usually more skilled with their right hand than right handed people are with their left hand, though?
i dont know about every one else, but i think its easy using my right hand to control the aim of the arm cannon. but i usally suck when fighting a hunter or guardian..or boss, since they move around alot, my hand might jolt a little and that loses my aim. but thats just me

yeah...i use left hand mode even though i'm right handed....well i used to be left handed anyway >_>.

need more help. i went to arcterra, to kill the "cret. v4" thing, got the octo, and left the planet, but now i don't know what to do from here. i do know that i went to alinos for the second visit, arcterra, the same, VDO, done there, and celestrial archives. so, what do i do from here? and if i remember, i have 6 octoloth's in all. aren't i supposed to have 8? and if i'm supposed to get 2 octo's from each planet, then i only have 6? does anyone know what i do next? or which octo i'm missing? heres a list of octo's from which i can remember:

celestrial archives, i think i remember getting 2 here
alinos, know i got both octo's
arcterra, just got the last one, so that is 2
VDO, got the 2 here

i think i got the next octo from ca, but i don't remember. what boss do you face at ca on your 2nd visit again?
