You will see spoilers in this topic, but I'd advise anything past about the halfway point of the game be put in spoiler tags anyway so people near the first half won't have to see too far ahead to get help.

I WAS starting this because I needed help, but I just though of something WHILE TYPING THIS UP. Damn, it never fails... although usually it's AFTER you've posted so you look like a dork.

red chamber dream
Still good to have this topic, though - just following the tradition. :)

Thanks for not making me double post. :)

The v4 pillar boss is kicking my ass. I managed to get him into the red this time, and maybe I just need to try a few more times, but any pointers would help. I'm using the green weapon on the dots and super missles on the core (for the homing effect). I only have 6 energy tanks, even though this is my last octolith to get. I'm having no problems on the ammo front, though.
Continue to circle him, and use the Power Beam. It takes out the blue dots on his body very quickly. Don't bother with the green balls it shoots at you, they're too slow if you keep circling.

I died so many times on that, mostly from trying to shoot down the green balls. If you do that, more and more will just keep coming, faster than you can take them out, and the lasers are frying you at the same time.
lol no way
Wow, weird... the only boss that gave me trouble was, er, the final boss. I had very little trouble throughout most of the game, though I did have trouble here:

There's this one puzzle in Alinos, it's morphball and involves a lot of pushy mechanisms that try to push you into lava, or smash you. The instant death from being smashed caused me to have to redo it quite a few times, much to my dismay.
I also had a bit of trouble getting the second VDO octolith, just working my way through the destroyed tunnel during the escape.

I've forgotten the majority of this game though at this point, so I'll need to play through it again.
[spoiler]I have all 8 Octoliths, and I am on Alinos like it said, but I don't know where to go.

Take a right at High Ground (big multi-tiered room with the two sets of platforms you had to activate). If you haven't already been there (which is probable since it's a rather memorable location), it'll help to look for the door icon you haven't mapped the other side of yet.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
How the hell are you supposed to defeat Goreas?

The best strategy i've found is: activate the wall thingies if you want to get to the second phase, then just run around the outside of the room (so all his attacks miss you) waiting for him to be veulnerable to the Imperialist.  Then snipe each arm immediately.  When the Seal Sphere comes out, move far away from t and it won't attack.  Then just shoot it seven times with your Imperialist.  Rpeat two more times

To elaborate better:

His weak points are his shoulders, if you hadn't noticed. (They're seperate scan targets, after all.) The point you want to aim for is the big yellow flashing dots facing his front. The color of his body is the color of the weapon he's vulnerable to at that point. Black is when he's weak to the power beam/missles. You must damage both his arms evenly... when you destroy one, it'll regenerate unless you take out the other within a specific time frame. I've never found BG's strategy reliable... he usually shifts immediately after you blow off an arm.

As far as living during that part, first of all, watch for the yellow energy floor of death. Secondly, if you walk all the way around the outside, he can't hit you with anything but the wavebuster wannabe weapon. (I don't think it's even possible to ever dodge that weapon.) The little blue things will hurt you if you waltz into them, but they give off UA and very occasionaly life. That's enough, however, because he's not hitting you much either, and energy heals so much in this game.

Once that's done, it's pretty obvious what to hit then. You'll have to use the weapon you ended on before though. And make sure to constantly circle around him to avoid that form's attacks. After enough damage, he'll go back to the first part. Rinse, lather, repeat until he's done.
er...how do you change your username for wifi?
Go to Edit Friends or Rivals, click on your button at the top of the touch screen than click edit name on the bottom middle of touch screen.

This screen can also be used to view stats of you and your friends/rivals.
Now I have the Magmul, and I remember an orange door in the ice world (in Sic Transit). I go there, but there is an inperetrable glass/hologram thing blocking it. How do I disable this or get around it?

I thought it disappeared when you got the first octolith for that world. If not, try getting every world's first octolith.
I'm not sure if this is really a spoiler but...

In Fault Line in Arcterra there are these two red sensor things that you activate with the Imperialist but when I shoot them (from far away so that they're open) nothing happens! I'm confused...

Yeah I have a question

How the hell do I get out of fault line (I only need one more octolith, but I'm seemingly stuck in here.)

where exactly are you stuck? are the doors locked? did you get the artifact in that little room with the force feild maze and sniper beam target things? I dont know if this has anyhting to do with your problem, but if you're wondering how to get into the large chunk of the room that is blocked off by a huge force field, scan the device that activates the portal in that room (you can scan it through the force field). Then, return to your ship and take the portal. You will now be behind the force field, which you need to be in order to disable it. if the doors are locked, you must have gotten access to an artifact (the doors of any room with an artifact will lock once the artifact is uncovered, until you collect it.) Did you collect the artifact that's near where you orginally entered the room for the first time, with the electro-zappy barrier thingy (I dont know what else to call it, but it forces you to take the left path from the entrance instead of the right)?  If none of this helps you, i'm not quite sure how you're stuck.
I know I have to do what Yoshi said, but I think one of my artfacts is blocked off. In the Ice Hive, normally the large door-thing is open when you beat the bees, but I forgot the artifact (I think) and when I try going back, it's closed and I can't get in.

On the other hand, I skipped it and went to the first planet and got further into in with the Volt Driver. I'm in the puzzling labyrinth with the first Shock Coil door, and the outer space part. I'm worndering where the last artifact is, I got the outer space one and the one that opens up a hole in the glass after beating some baddies and when you go through the hole you get the key. Is there any sort of trick to this?

I'm stuck in the room in fault line where the second boss portal is, there are no doors in the room just ledges that are slightly out of my reach. It's also where you disable the electro wall thing.

Edit: NVM I figured it out by myself :/

This is a double post but, where do you find the electric voldrum, the only scans I forgot is the one scan after Dialanche (I assume that that is electric voldrum) and two or the slench b scans.  I'm starting over to get 100%.

Does anyone know how many energy tanks there are? I only have 7.  I'd also appreciate if someone could tell me how many missiles UA packs there are in the game, in a spoiler for anyone who doesn't want to know.

If someone doesn't know this you can check how many of each of the upgrades you have by tapping your game file once and looking at the top screen.

Again sorry for the double post I felt it was necessary to get a reply.

have to scan something nearby to get the door to open again.

Does ANYBODY know?  :( I know that  they still need to be activated cuz they close when I get near them and they have the little red thing flashing in front of them.

Fault line... can't think of that room at the moment but I do know that all Imperialist switches must be shot at from far away, if you're too close it doesn't work.
