I don,t believe this save any time. But even if it saves some seconds, this are absolutely too hard make on speedrun.

But what i already said pointless/cool finds are always very welcomed. It is very hard find new time savers with this day.
Very true. now i just need to record phazon core...

QI[9]IQ
I've tried the trick of taking super missile from the other side, that one with ghetto jumping and stuff. However, as soon as I've taking it, I fall down through the platform. Is it supposed to be like this?
You don't fall through, it's just the cutscene puts you where the platform is 'supposed' to be.

I see... So it's intevitable not to fall down? If I want the Super Missile I'll be forced to walk that annoying way upp either way?
There have been some discussions on wether a wii would load rooms faster than a gamecube. I can say that a wii actually loads slower than a gamecube. Some doors that would intantly open for me, don't do that on the wii. For example the door out of the save station in phendrana near the end of a speedrun (after obtaining the artifact in phendrana's edge) instantly opens on the gamecube but not on the wii. There might be some places were the wii loads faster but that wouldn't make any sense.
Furnace loads much faster in the wii.
so in a speedrun you should consider using the wii for a segment or the gamecube, interesting.
Your Wii might be borked. Mine's always loaded faster.
bypassing the lock in energy core.

saves approxamately 1 seconds :D
Its old but nobody ever mentioned it actually saves time. Not that its worth it.
That only saves time If you're a good wallcrawler, unlike me Brick wall
I don't know if these are already known or not.

I think the first one might be done a little faster with a ghetto jump from the ground but I can't do that particular ghetton jum consitently. I it twice on my runs: right after morph ball and right after the artifact of lifegiver going to get ice beam.
I think the secod one would only be useful in a 100% run  because the only reason I drop is to get the expasnion in Research Lab Hydra. If you don't see what's happening I'm bouncing a missle off the wave door to unlock the save station. Even if it doesn't save any time it's a cool trick.

First video= Incredibly old trick.
Second video= Old, debatedly useful. Can do it in the elevator room before transport tunnel c in magmoor caverns too.
Keep practising wallcrawling. It will come eventually. I used to be shit at it, and now I can do IBBF in under 4 minutes.

saves only one second? Potential to save even more cause you can do the wallcrawl faster. Subtract the one scan dash from some of my timings and you could probably save another 4 to 8 seconds. Unless wallcrawling is different in PAL of course.
Well, I timed the puzzle in energy core and it takes 30 seconds. In the ntsc version I believe it takes 25 seconds but there's a scandash and the door loads faster. The wall crawl takes an extra 29 seconds instead of going through the normal way. Again in the ntsc version you can do extra dashes ofcourse. I think it only saves time in the pal version but I don't know what an optimal wall crawl is, I thought the one that I did was pretty good, but there might be faster ways I don't know.
I had never seen anything mentioned of these before so I just wanter to make sure.

SJ-first with R-dash. Thanks Stefan his geo core video awesome dash trick working as well here. Though this not save time, but yeah it working and it is nice alternate way.

nice vid master, thats actually what I use when doing single segment runs. Just like your video shows, if you mess up you can try again.
Forgive me if this sound stupid but what's an R-dash. (I can tell that wasn't as dash shump because he stayed locked on).
not evil,just hungry
instead of releasing L after dashing, press R
normally when i dash, i left go of everything (unless i'm bending the jump). for an r-dash, you keep holding L and press R. if you're not going that fast, you may have to start holding R a bit later (during the fastest part of the dash).

“Well done is better than well said”
Is the r-dash better than the regular way?  Does anyone know of any instances of where the r-dash would be better to use than a regular dash? Finally, can I follow the instructions for the Prime 2 dash described on the main site (in the Echoes section)?  They sound the same to me.  Thanks for any help.

Edit:  I see now that it would probably be a novelty for Prime 1.  Does an r-dash go as far as reguler dash?
red chamber dream
it seems to. i was just messing around in landing site and was actually getting the r dash more consistently than the normal dash. that's not saying much, though; i was getting both nearly every time. r dash did seem easier to do from the save point on the ship, so it may be faster/easier for some in speed runs.
