I wouldn't post about using spider ball lol.

I bomb jump to the post right next to the door, do a half hbj jump up to the rock, scan dash to the hole where you can get the etank. Then the hard part, dash to the platform in the middle. Then jump bomb jump to the rocks and up to the top.
Is it this?
Yea pretty much. That vid nor the next show that hard dash to get to the middle platform. But yep that's it.
Thats where his computer crashed because it was not liking amarec.
I'm still kinda hyped that I found it on my own. Thanks for finding that video
Might want to check for these kinds of things here: https://m2k2.taigaforum.com/post/various_no_space_jump_nsj__21_topic.html

It's a bit disorganized but the thread isn't that big.

(also I'm assuming the answer isn't use spider ball)

lol

Also I've used a strat similar to this in randomizer, though I'm like 99% sure you can just jump onto that rock instead of doing the HBJ-esque thing
I tried to ghetto up there but I found the bomb jump easier.

Could this possibly be any faster for 100%? Probably not but... I've never seen anything about this that I can recall
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I know I posted about exactly this in a thread somewhere. I think it might have been random research. Anyway yeah this is known, though I don't know if it was taken into account at all while routing 100%. Honestly I can't imagine a route where this saves time, since you're going to have to clean up the rooms leading up to Hive Mecha anyway, and that brings you straight to Wild/Vault.

No clue whether or not this is known, but I felt the need to document it anyway as it's very useful to know.

I guess I haven't messed up phendrana's edge enough on stream to show that, since that's what I do :P but yeah it's a nice backup climb and easy too

It's definitely well known, I doubt it's been documented though.
I figured that would be the case. I've just never seen anybody do it.
I saw m177 practice something like that once.
I was practicing the faster version of it, as seen in t3's video:

I made a movement comparison for anyone interested.

Would be better if you had included R Jumping, but great resource nonetheless.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
R jumping kind of varies from player to player, especially chaining them. But this video is out there already:
This is a little trick during the escape I just so happened to stumble upon, maybe it could be of use in a segmented run if executed differently / better.

Video may still be processing.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
I have a hard time seeing this saving time. Even with perfect hops, you're losing speed on each jump because of the slant of the ground. I can't see that speed boost saving the time you need to wait for it.
Yea I figured it would be a little sketchy.
The next room starts loading immediately.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do this and it's almost certainly the fastest way
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
The most important part of doing this room is how quickly you can turn around, not really how quickly you can get up.

Also that seems like a more tedious strat for the sake of being more tedious.
