Pretty good hack. Can't take any non-terrible screenshots since I played in on my Wii. Missed 1 Missile Tank and 4 Super Missile Tanks. Only trouble I had was
fighting Ridley with about 50 Missiles, 6 Supers and Spazer but I'm fairly certain it was because of me.
It certainly feels bigger, and but it didn't take me as long as most hacks have. (Nearly as long as it took me to finish Eris the first time, based on my notepad file where I've written down all of my hack completion stats.)
The fact that we know the original Super's map backwards and forwards by now probably helps it seem smaller than it is, plus there's a lot of areas on Zebes that aren't required to navigate through to complete the game, which isn't always the case in Life. I remember traveling through as much of the map that's given to you from Map Stations as I could when exploring, which you don't need to do in Super.

I give a lot of credit to the map layout/design in this hack so far. I haven't gotten stuck yet. I can just keep playing without saying 'WTF am I supposed to do NOW?'. The original Super played like that (with the exception of the noob tube for many on first playthrough) and that's a big part of what makes the original game so great. I'm liking this hack a lot.
um yeah I figured that out pretty quickly. I thought you were saying that you had defeated draygon and couldn't find your way out. (i'd spoiler tag that if I were you, btw)

Yeah, I'll definitely agree with you there. The layout of Life is among the best I've seen in a hack so far. Lots of little elements that add up to make it flow very nicely and not have a lot of hangups, including having smaller hallways you come across after adventuring a bit and getting items that link up to earlier segments you've already explored, so that you don't have to travel around the one available path to get back to somewhere you want to be.
It happens while shinesparking through the blocks instead of just running through them. Reproduced it on znes. Tried jumping, Morph Ball rolling and Bombing my way out but no success.
Naw, I figured it out less than 30 secs after asking for help. Just killed Ridley, taking a break for a bit. I LOVE this hack, so much that I am thinking about planning speed run for it. I hope Damski is playing this and is going to make a map for it.
OK I found space jump but I can't figure out how to get to it. Hint, please?
EDIT: NVM, sheesh.
It's funny how something so simple can throw us off that much, isn't it? I got stuck there too for a few minutes and felt the same way once I realized what you need to do to get it.
