I just uploaded it to a folder on my computer, uploaded it onto freewebtown and renamed it...>_>
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Some sites don't let you upload a ".htacess".
Maybe it's because you need to upload ".htaccess".

I was using http://freewebs.com . Is that bad?
Honestly, I wouldn't trust those freeweb servers for crap. There's a reason they're free, y'know. <_<

Freewebtown seems to be working for these people. It hought "why not freewebs?"
直死の魔眼使い
Because FreeWebTown and FreeWebs are NOT the same thing?

Geez, some people these days...

Imagehosting is crap there too. I try to hotlink it and it never works. I just upload my .bmps there.

You parents didn't help? I thought you said they might help you out a little.
Cook of the Sea
Well, they covered what I couldn't cover, which was about half, but I have to pay it back by the month.  Of course, they've probably spent about twice as much as the Dreamhosting cost on art supplies for me in the past year.  My 120 set of Prismas, for instance.

Jeez, you have cool parents.

I loves 'em, but be aware:  The first console I ever owned was my Gamecube, and this Gateway is the first remotely current computer we have ever owned.  Our ancient Mac, which was our only computer until last October, could not save images into alternate formats, only as the default format of whatever program they were made with.

Actually, the primary motivational force being my parents' purchase of this Gateway was my urging them to get a computer that would allow me to have a webcomic, as in a computer that could perform any of the normal Internet tasks beyond basic (Java--less, Shockwave-less) web-browsing.  So I guess that was an artistic expense as well.
Ummm... I'm trying the freewebtown thing, and it doesn't even ASK for a password. It says they will email me the password, but so far... nothing.

Did, you enter ayahoo email address? If so check the bulk mail folder. That should apply to most webmail.
Yeah I did... now it's like 4 days later and still no e-mail... I'm probably just gonna try one of the others in this topic...

Can you have gifs in this script?
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I think that as long as the site allows you to upload a file it will work in the script.
I can't do it.  Am I supposed to do this through a website or a folder like my documents?  Whenever I try to rename something.htaccess, it keeps on saying:  "Please specify a file name" or something like that.  So, I link the file to avatar.jpg anyways and it says that it is't a jpg, gif, or png file. I'm using windows by the way.

Ready and willing.
You have to upload to an FTP service, then rename the file to just plain .htaccess. Alternatively, you can rename the file through the command line to avoid the check.
And where can I do that? :P
