And no, I dislike the NSFW stuff, at least that of sexual nature. Now stuff that is classified as NSFW due to something of violent nature, or involving profanity, or even social nature (like racism and bondage), that I am exponentially more accepting of.

How I would arrange the timeline, both to give Samus a little break and to also mix it up a bit:
- Metroid/Zero Mission
- Metroid Prime + Hunters
- Metroid 2
- Metroid Prime 2
- Super Metroid/Redesign
- [Other M Substitute]
- Metroid Prime 3
- Metroid Fusion
The new timeline would also potentially explain the presence of a Hyper Beam at the end of Super Metroid.

Metroid 2's story is to eradicate all remaining metroids in the universe, thus it takes place after the Prime series. She spares one and brings it to Ceres station. Super Metroid's intro explains that Ceres had been attacked immediately after she left, so it's the immediate sequel. Redesign is definitely not canon. Other M recounts the events of Super Metroid repeatedly (baby count: 11), so it takes place after that. Fusion refers to the death of Adam multiple times, thus it takes place after Other M.
I suppose Corruption could hypothetically come later in the timeline, but IIRC there's a scan log for planet Zebes, and had it taken place later than it does, they'd likely have mentioned that it's been destroyed. I should also note that Samus is in every game, thus rearranging the games doesn't exactly give her a break.
As for the other subjects, tdk is BioSpark, and on a personal note, I find racism MUCH more despicable than sex. And I'm not sure you understand the meaning of "bondage" (or exponentially, for that matter). Maybe it's for the best that you don't look it up.

Yeah, Metroid 2 and Super Metroid pretty much have to happen back to back don't they? Would be weird if Samus just tooled around with a Metroid in her ship for the entirety of Prime 2. Though having a Brotroid would kind of own.

Not what I meant (in fiction, like Half-Life 2 slavery/racism). But I don't enjoy pornography or anything of the similar sort. Plus, I just don't like doing sexual stuff in general. I don't even have any "friends with benefits", and my relatives are Mormon. While I don't follow all of the rules, some of them stick to you.
But I agree, Racism and Bondage are both pretty fucking bad.

Redesign is there because of what happens to Samus in the Mother Brain fight of that hack (she loses all of her stuff except the morphball and bombs), so it would be a better explanation for why Samus doesn't have her stuff in Other M. I also don't consider Other M a true Metroid game, so we need a substitute for it (at least for the timebeing, until someone gives us something better)

So it may be possible that the Aether stuff happened while she was gone, and when she got back she had received the distress signal.

It's funny cause seriously the nicest, most chill dude I ever met was this mormon guy I went to school with, like he never really talked about it so I don't even really know how we all knew he was mormon, but he hung out with my metalhead friends that use 'fuck" like punctuation all through highschool with no problems whatsoever.
