wasted a considerable amount of time:
-bombing over bars
-climbing ppc
-other places where I was more concerned with doing it the fast way regardless of the number of failures (e.g. getting supers without activating the bomb slots, climbing ore processing without using spider, getting wavebuster without breaking the blocks)

Fixed my scratched disc problems and improved my any% SS to 1:16 and 100% SS to 1:52.  I think I can still lower any% by 1-2 minutes and 100% by 3-5 minutes, but I've had enough Metroid Prime for now so they'll stay my best for a while.

1:11 in front of an audience is nothing short of amazing if you ask me, even if I have no idea what was involved to get that time. The record is 1:02 or 1:03 these days, right? I'd say it went well then.
